You need to make 2 consecutive Fort saves (1 per turn) to be cured. Please tell me how this affects your HP and your AC.

Zorg takes a five foot step back and casts a spell at the giant rat in the back.

Sleep would be nice, but as a full round action, I can't pull it off without an attack of opportunity... So, ray of enfeeblement

Ranged touch attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Strength damage (Fort DC 15 to halve): 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

@Zorg: Sorry, the touch AC of the giant rat is 14, so that misses. Move action?

Conchobhar squeezes backward 5' to allow someone else to move forward, and begins singing an inspiring song. Inspire Courage gives a +1 to attack and damage and fear saves.

Rat 5 attacks Atlatl again. 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12MISS!

Gilraen attacks Rat 3 and hits for 4 points of damage. (Add 1 to damage with song. Also, just to help the DM, don't post too far in advance. As a player the circumstances might change and you might make a different choice. And... the GM gets confoosed easily. (I'm running 11 NPCs mind you. So the whole "who's on first thing" gets kufuffled.)

Sandara will begin summoning a monster to fight with you. It will appear next round.

Noonan looking very annoyed, swipes at the rat nibbling on Conchie. His fist hits and knocks the rat unconcious with one blow.

Everyone in Phase 1, please go. I should have the new map up by morning.

Zorg will step back another 5 feet to put more distance between himself and the rats, and then attempt to put some of them to sleep.

The map isn't up yet, but he'll cast sleep in such a way as to catch as many rats that are still up as possible. This spell 'goes off' at the start of Zorg's 3rd round turn... Darn 1-round spells!

Round 2 map is up!

A couple of follow ups:

* Rats 4 and 7 are not actually off to the side. I put the unconscious ones there for convenience. They are actually underfoot of other rats and people.

* Feel free to use grid coordinates for movement and aiming of spells etc. Just note that the grid will probably change next round. (the map moves about as I'm doing all my clicking and dragging.)Zorg you are free to decide the spells location just before it pops.

* @Zorg. Rats! indeed.

*Noonan gave himself +1 for flanking, it shoulda been +2.

*Noonan (and Rosie and Sandara) have -4 to hit due to low light. Luckily Noonan and Rosie would both have hit anyway.

*Did Sidhon finish lighting the lantern last turn? (otherwise low light conditions still prevail.)

*Zorg you might notice Sidhon with a lantern that looks very much like the one you found.

*Still waiting for Atlatl's fortitude save.

*Atlatl is up in phase 1.

Conchobhar will continue singing this round.

Sidhon wasn't doing anything else last round but retrieving and lighting the lantern (well, and getting gnawed on by rats) - precisely to empower those with weak eyes. The beautiful, merciful, and wise GM is the only one that can tell if it actually succeeded :)

Atlatl will pick up the mace he has stowed in the bilge moves next to Rat 5 and wields his axe against it...

Attack (lethal): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

I am not sure how to do damage with the mace if I hit so I will do:
1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Sidhon Presuming you were aiming at Rat 1, you do 2 points of damage. (mm damage is accurate)

Atlatl Fort save from previous round: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15. Unfortunately "11" does not hit Rat 5. For a move action I will have him toss the 2nd mace to Noonan. Mace is a simple weapon. Does 1d6 + str dam.

Zorg Steps back and begins casting Sleep. Will go off top of round 3.

Conchobhar continues singing.

So we're at group #3?

Gilraen will take another swing at the same one:

1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 4 + 1 = 22

Damage: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

@Noonan: I pointed out that the unconcious rats are visually off to the side for convenience sake. But in actuality they are beneath the rats standing right in front of you. Rat 4 had closed in to bite Conchie before you whopped him.

Moving thru several rats would have created several attacks of opportunity, but it wouldn't have been necessry to hit the rat in front of you, which you creamed anyway. Is that what you wanted to do?

And I'm trying to divvy up the rats evenly between the players "up front" so one or another will hit you in any case. And hey you have more hp and a better fortitude save then some of the other characters that are getting hammered.

In your turn this round you can use the grid coordinates to say where you'd like to be.

Noonan You are up!

Aagh! I did not have time to correct the wonky post beore the hour was up!

But to sum up Phase 3:

Rosie hit and knocked Rat 6 unconscious.

Gilraen hit and knocked Rat 3 unconscious.

Sandara's octopus easily grappled and then pinned the Giant Rat underwater. He cannot move this round and will begin to drown as soon as I can research those rules.

Sandara cast heal on Conchie this turn. 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11 Conchie is back to full.

It is Noonans turn. (As a move I had Atlatl toss you the mw hand axe. Make a DC 10 acrobatics check to catch it. Luckily Sidhon lit the lantern last time so you can see it coming. I think that shines light for 30' from Sidhon's position.)

Noonan catches the axe (mace?) like he's done it many times before and takes a swing at the closest rat with it:

Noonan made his save, and nimbly caught the thrown axe. However, he failed to connect on his first swing with the unfamiliar weapon.

Atlatl, while calculating correctly, missed his save.

Ah, sorry, I meant rats #2, #5, and #6, not 1, 5, and 6. DC is 15.

Sidhon's shiny blade doesn't quite hit Rat 1

I think all 3 conscious rats are in range of Zorgs spell. I don't think Sleep affects unconscious creatures.

Rat 1 Will Save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14 MISS!
Rat 2 Will Save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13 MISS!
Rat 5 Will Save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 MISS!

All three rats fall into a slumber.

In his jubilation about the success of his spell, Zorg tosses his knife aimlessly into the murky water.

In a bloodthirsty frenzy generated by long days of withheld vengeance, Atlatl leaps on sleeping Rat 5 and delivers a Coup de Grace with his mace.

Conchobhar ends his song with a squawk as a spider drops on him and attempts to bite. (He may look familiar to Zorg)

Tried to add a couple more lines last night, but paizo went wonky.

Zorg's old spider friend is now attacking Conchobhar: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22 HIT! Damage: 1d3 ⇒ 1 and Conchobhar needs to make a Fort save vs poison. 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

The Giant Rat is trying to break free of the grapple, which will be difficult with 5 tentacles on him: 1d20 ⇒ 7 Still stuck.

I should roll fortitude saves for the various rats to see if they stop bleeding, but I think it will soon be a moot point. The only opponent able to move at this point is the scarlet spider.

People of Phase 3, you are up!

Conchie takes 1 point of damage and fails his con check. He takes 1 point of str damage as well. Poor conchie, dieased and poisoned.

~~~
I asked around when Zorg v Spider was happening, how to handle combat with tiny creatures that are on someone.
The long and short was there are lots of opinions and no definitive answers.
First off... this is a BIG tiny creature. About 12" high. The common answer seemed to be, that unless the spider "grappled" which he didn't, then he attacked from a nearby square. So for simplicity's sake we'll say that the spider bit and then took a 5' step back to a nearby square. You should be able to hit it with a weapon without endangering Conchie.
Or, if you want to keep to your grabbing plan, we'll call that a grapple. Roll a d20+CMB bonus to grab. If that succeeds you can smash it against a hard surface for 1d6 +Str bonus of nonlethal damage.
Female HP: 20/20 | DR5/acid,cold,electricity | AC 14 | T 14 | FF 10 | CMD 16 | F +2 | R +5 | W +4 | Init +4| Per +4 | Survival +4 Aasimar Oracle
Male HP: 15/15 | DR? | AC 14 | T ? | FF ? | CMD 19 | F ? | R ?| W ? | Init +4| Per ? (?) Human Barbarian/1
given your explanation, I'll not try to grab him when taking a swing with a weapon wouldn't threaten harm upon Conchi.
Next swing of the axe 1d20 + 5 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 5 + 1 + 2 = 12
Added 1 for song and 2 for having spider flanked, right?
If it hits 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
@Gilreaen: see Coup de Grace notes on discussion page: Essentially if you are keeping the same action, roll another d3.
@Noonan: Unfortunately Conchie stopped singing when he was bitten, AND ... the axe missed the spider, but took a good chunk out of the railing.
Rosie will CDG Rat 6 with her axe. It is dead.
Sandara will also attempt to flank and swat the spider. 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11 MISS! The spider is very nimble.
Phase 1's actions so far:
Atlatl I had as CDGing Rat 5, unless he jumps on and asks to do something else.
Zorg Sees where his dagger plopped in the water. If he wants, he can move there and retrieve his dagger this round.
Conchobhar Takes a 5' step away from the spider, and resumes his inspiring song. Plus 1 to hit and damage.
We'll continue with Round 4, once any unresolved questions are taken care of.
(hp 4/10 | AC 17 (T 17, FF 11) | CMD 15 | Fort +2 | Ref +5 | Will +2 | Init +5 | Perc +6 | Prof (Sailor) +5) goblin witch (sea witch) 2
Zorg scurries with frightening speed over to the spot where the dagger went into the drink, and fishes it out.
Round 3, Phase 3
I'm going to push the action along and presume Gilraen did a nonlethal CDG on Rat 3. (You wouldn't have hit the spider, he's got an 18 AC) Critical damage is another d3: 1d3 ⇒ 1 4 total damage to Rat 3. He's down to -6 out of 5 hp. Not sure when he's actually dead. But if you make sure he stays underwater, he should drown long before healing the 1 hp per hour.
Results of Round 4, Phase 1 are above.
Round 4, Phase 2
Only the spider is conscious. While badly injured, he's also hopping mad. He will attack one of the people near him. 1=Conchie, 2=Noonan, 3=Sandara 1d3 ⇒ 1 Poor Conchie.
Spider Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19 HIT!
Damage: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Conchie's Fortitude Save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16 MADE IT!
Conchie's Concentration Check to keep singing: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 FAILED. The singing has stopped.
Giant Rat makes another escape attempt. 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5 FAILED, still pinned and drowning.
Round 4, Phase 3
Standings:
Phase 1:
24 Sidhon: 5/8 hp, diseased 1x
23 Atlatl: 6/10 hp, diseased 1x
21 Zorg
19 Conchobhar: 10/14 hp, diseased 1x, poisoned -1 Str 1x
Phase 2:
23 Rat 1: asleep
23 Rat 2: asleep
23 Rat 3: -6 hp, (nearly)dead
23 Rat 4: -2 hp, unconscious
19 Scarlet Spider: 2/5 hp
18 Rat 5: dead
18 Rat 6: dead
18 Rat 7: -2 hp, unconscious
18 Giant Rat: 6/8, Pinned, drowning 3rd round
Phase 3:
17 Rosie: 14/17 hp
11 Gilraen:
9 Sandara:
9 Octopus: grappling
6 Noonan: 13/15 hp
People of Phase 3, you are up.
Female HP: 20/20 | DR5/acid,cold,electricity | AC 14 | T 14 | FF 10 | CMD 16 | F +2 | R +5 | W +4 | Init +4| Per +4 | Survival +4 Aasimar Oracle
OK, per directions, Gilraen will grab one and smash it against the nearest wall, post, big hard non-living surface.
1d6 ⇒ 5 *2 = 10
For a total of:
1d3 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11
Is that right?
Male HP: 15/15 | DR? | AC 14 | T ? | FF ? | CMD 19 | F ? | R ?| W ? | Init +4| Per ? (?) Human Barbarian/1
Noonan swings at the spider: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Male: HP: 10/10 | DR5/cold | AC 15 | T 15 | FF 10 | CMD 16 | F +2 | R +7 | W +2 | Init +5| Per +6 (+8 traps) Undine Ninja 1
Atlatl I think needed to do another fortitude save to stop the disease:
Fortitude Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
And in round 4 I will FLANK and attack spider with mace:
Attack (lethal): 1d20 + 5 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 5 + 6 = 20
Damage:
1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
edit: oh wait....I am not in phase 3....can I use this post at the top of round 5?
Finishing off this round, before radio silence probably kicks in:
Round 4, Phase 3
Rosie will move and attempt to hit the spider. 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18 HITS, just barely. 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5 The spider is unconscious.
Gilraen will scoop up Rat 2 and smash it against a beam. She does 5 points nonlethal damage. (Conchie's singing got interrupted, so is the +1 from strength?) I was giving the Critical damage bonus for attacking, not grappling and smashing. So you can have either 2xd3 or 1xd6... plus damages bonuses. In either case Rat 2 is at 0 hitpoints and awake and staggered.
Sandara heals up Conchie again.
The Octopus takes another bite on the Giant Rat. 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
Noonan hits the unconscious spider and squishes him into oblivion.
At this point, all of your opponents are unconscious, dead, or asleep. I'll say you can easily finish them off now.
Unless anyone has a reason not to, I will say we're out of initiative and you can all talk amongst yourselves and decide what to do next.
Female HP: 20/20 | DR5/acid,cold,electricity | AC 14 | T 14 | FF 10 | CMD 16 | F +2 | R +5 | W +4 | Init +4| Per +4 | Survival +4 Aasimar Oracle
"I've got a couple healing spells for anyone who needs them. Maybe folks who don't can finish off the rats."
