You weren't able to charge as Tun'ada has the only clear charge route covered. I've moved you into melee with the captain instead.
James moves into melee with the captain and launches a mighty swing, imbedding his sword into the zombie before the captain can dodge. The captain looks at him incredulously, confusion and pain in his eyes. Scurvy knave! You have earned my ire sir! he rasps.

Zombies- 8
Chi- 7

James- 7
Gwenyth- 7
Active effects for Team Castaway- A +1 to attack rolls and saves vs fear. A +1 insight bonus to AC and on attack rolls and saving throws against exceptional, supernatural, and spell-like abilities of these creatures.
Retaliating against the Shoanti tribesman, Captain Strashgarth unleashes a furious assault at supernatural speed. Its almost like watching two elemental forces; with Strashgarth representing destructive fire and James representing enduring earth, taking a large amount of damage but remaining standing, managing to avoid one of the blows. His fury somewhat spent, the captain moves in to flank Tun'ada with the other zombie.

Need Savarend's action, for the purpose of the zombie's actions i'll assume whatever Savarend does is not enough to prevent a full-attack. Savarend if you manage to take out the zombie ignore the attack rolls and damage on you.
Tun'ada makes a fairly average swing with his weapon, but with Gwenyth's blessing and a choice piece of advice about sticking the sword in the hole in his chest, Tun'ada barely manages to penetrate the undead's natural armour, slaying the captain with his blow.
Following its master's lead, the other zombie shifts his position and savagely attacks James, slamming both of its fists into the barbarian's face.

Between the groups skilled search of the boat Total of 37!, Savarend and the others manage to find a hidden compartment in an otherwise wrecked storage room off the side. Well have you never heard of traps, well I suppose it would have gone off by now, you are very lucky Savarend. I hope you haven't broken any delicate opening mechanisms, they can be very sensitive to violent movements. Oh, I hope you haven't broken it! Let's get on to the next boat, we don't have all day to spend on this wreck." Chi turns away, stamping her foot with a little annoyance and petulantly, but not looking at anyone she lowers her eyes so no-one can see through to the window of her soul. She doesn't want to she her emotions to her friends, in case they are disappointed with her. She quickly leaves the wreck, and waits on the sand for everyone to collect the treasures and leave.

Is everybody OK, now? I'm pretty much done for the day, but unless I miss my guess, you should be feeling fairly close to fine, now. Gwen seems pale and a little tired when she gets up, but none worse for the wear.

| Savarend Whiteroot |
Savarend hefts the box onto his stocky shoulder, "No sense in opening it here. Might as well haul it back to camp so we can take our time. There's no jink in there, least as I can tell, but something has to be worth locking up. Come on, we can make it back with plenty of time for a nap." Gold coins are being gambled back and forth between them and they seem to be playing Golem(Poker under a different name). As you arrive you can hear them discussing their plans should they ever get off this island.
Personally, I hope we find something worth discovering on this island while we're here. I'm hardly in the Pathfinder's good graces, but all will be forgiven shoold I make another discovery... What about you Aerys? Surely now your sobering up you are ill suited to a life of piracy?.. Gelik asks.

I AM a Pathfinder boy! Gelik says indignantly. There was a mix up with an artifact that I recently sold on behalf of the organisation that... Well, the artifact turned out to be a fake, so lets just say i'm a full Pathfinder, but currently out of favour... Will any of you be joining out game of Golem?

Ishorou, I thought you might be interested to know that your pupil performed quite admirably in our encounter with the restless dead this morning. You really should ask her about it...

If Chi is offered the box on the way back from the ship
Chi's open wide atthe box, she carefully studies it, noting any differences in the colouring and lines of the outside, its shapes and shadows. "Without stopping, it would be impractical to unlock this, let me take a look when we get back into the camp. You can hold onto it now, but if I may when we return?"
Hmm? Ishorou looks up from the game, clearly he was concentrating intensely on it. Ah yes, did you perhaps open a lock for the group little one?
Chi brings her eyes up from looking at the floor, her shoulder straighten as she raises herself to her full height. She breathes in a deep breath and beams a smile at Isorou. "No it wasn't that, but when you taught me about how human bodies have those places of weakness, where if you hit them hard even the mighty fall. Not that I am like you and can find the spots so easily, but my little flower picker, proved more deadly against the undead than I could ever hoped to imagine. I am indebted to your teachings."
If the box is with her, or if it's given to Chi.
Unable to determine if there is magic holding the box together, she first searches for any thing that might look like it could be a trap device. Then not finding any, she hands the box to Gwen, "Gwen, I can't tell if there's magic in this box, or even if its magic keeping the box locked, can you help?"
Taking back the box from Gwen, Chi carefully takes her time to find the secrets to unlock the box.
Disable Device to unlock the box 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
If Chi is unable to open the box, then she passes it to Ishorou, once the game of cards is over and seeks his help.

Gwen chuckles gently when she is approached by Chi.
Alas, my friend, I have not the knack for such things. Ambroze, though, our emminent scholar and colleague, could likely tell you in an instant if the box is, in fact, magical.
She grins at the gnome seated across the camp, and lowers her voice.
He'll likely then go on to tell you the alloy used in the creation of the metal, it's history, the regions in which such metals are created and shaped into boxes like this, the history of the peoples of those regions, the various bloodlines of the noble families of those peoples, and then tell you he doesn't know how to open it!
The youngster giggles furiously at the thought of Ambroze doing these very things.

"Sure," James answers with a shrug, "I could use a break. So... what was this mix up then?"
We're taking wagers of up to ten gold pieces James. Gelik says as Aerys deals you in. Well... I may have accidently mistaked a vase of Chelixian origin and mistook it for Azlanti work... Even one such as I makes mistakes from time to time...
Chi, you turn the box over and over but you cannot find any sign of an opening mechanism, or even any indication that the box is meant to be opened. Ambroze feel free to make any knowledge rolls you feel are appropiate, please include a Spellcraft roll if you detect magic.
Ishorou also cannot discern any opening mechanism or traps on the box.

The box is made from adamantine, and though you detect no magic on the outside of the box, your aware thet adamantine of this density would block any efforts at divining the inner section and or contents. The box alone is worth a small fortune, assuming the inner material is also adamantine.
Your fairly confident the box is not a phylactery of any kind, as it lacks a magical aura and the markings that tend to go along with those things.
You think that perhaps the box is not meant to be opened, that it would have to be accessed via other magical means.

In fact, in some Ancient Azlanti texts the word for adamantine literally translates as 'Star Metal'," Ambroze announces to his companions. "Now, I don't detect any magical auras on the outside of the box, but any efforts at divining the inner section of the box or its contents will be blocked by adamantine of this density. If the inner material is also adamantine, then this box is worth a small fortune."

Instead she goes off and starts to fiddle about with various powders and leaves she's collected. Rummaging around she finds various pots, bottles and vials. Taking out her tools she bought with her, she starts to pratice some of her alchemical skills, to create a vile smelling paste.
