Joana wrote:"Our Kingdom -- Join us if you want to. Or, you know, don't. Whatever."Tebati for President!
Seconded!
And we have our motto!
Nostrum regnum -- Suo nos sis ut. Vel vos teneo non. Quisquis
And I would have you know Jakob has no problems with free love. Being roped into a political marriage by a strange lady in a carriage on the other hand....
Re light:
Wow never noticed that about light... Though it is functionally dismissable via the monk trick.
Re Choker:
You could just let the choker fill the usual head slot and avoid the issue. No functional difference from using a bonded headband just fluff.
Re Kingdom:
This is why we don't give Ansha the ring. The kingdom aspect would/will be nifty. I wonder how Jakob would react to real power. Hmmmmm...

Silence monk! What do you know of spellcraft!!!
Yes, please keep your comments along the lines of, "Ooh! Shiny magic!" ;P
Re light:

Makes the availability of both light and dancing lights on the cantrip list make sense, since the latter is dismissable.
Since 'in an area of normal or bright light, this spell has no effect', Tebati's probably not going to even worry about an invisible light that won't draw any more attention to us than, say, the whole group of us approaching across the featureless plain.
How does Jakob feel about being roped into a political marriage by a Chaotic Neutral elf in a wagon? He has the Cha to be an attractive figurehead for her. If she's willing to settle for Utilinus for a decade or two, she should be able to put up with Jakob and then pick a new King-Consort after his all-too-human lifespan is up while she continues to reign as the Eternal Queen. :)
And our kingdom should totally be named Quisquis. :)

Actually Jakob as the possibility of out aging ansha. One of the side benefits of being able to change your type to plant may well be the ability to violate the old age rule. Mind you that means getting to capstone which I really doubt will happen.
The oracle road to immortality is not as clear as the monk or the Wizard but I think it is there.

Create Demiplane, Greater: As create demiplane, but larger and with more planar traits.
Cursed Earth: Plants die, living creatures catch diseases, or dead creatures rise as zombies.
Energy Drain: Subject gains 2d4 negative levels.
Etherealness: Travel to Ethereal Plane with companions.
GateM: Connects two planes for travel or summoning.
Heal, Mass: As heal, but affects 1 subject/level.
Implosion: Inflict 10 damage/level to one creature/round.
Interplanetary Teleport: Teleport to another planet.
MiracleM: Requests a deity's intercession.
Overwhelming Presence: Creatures bow before you as if you were divine.
Polar Midnight: Cold darkness paralyzes and deals damage.
Soul BindF: Traps newly dead soul to prevent resurrection.
Spell Immunity, Greater Communal: As greater spell immunity, but you may divide the duration among creatures touched.
Storm of Vengeance: Storm rains acid, lightning, and hail.
Summon Monster IX: Summons extraplanar creature to fight for you.
Symbol of Strife: Triggered rune makes creatures attack.
Symbol of Vulnerability: Triggered rune gives penalties.
True ResurrectionM: As resurrection, plus remains aren't needed.
Winds of Vengeance: Grants flight; attack with wind.
Wooden Phalanx: Creates 1d4+2 temporary wood golems to fight for you.
Pretty lame, compared to 9th-level arcane spells, especially when I've never understood the draw of planar travel. And the really good ones cost 25,000 gp each. How many loans do sorcerers and oracles have to take out to use their capstones?
Honestly, I think we're missing the obvious choice for ruling couple right under our noses: Qhude and Unwe! :D
...N'bellocq and Lola?

The problem is that a choker logically fills the same slot as an amulet or necklace, not a headband.

But...but...But :< Then I can't be a dark queen instead of a dark lord, and people won't all love me and despair!

And yet, in your avatar picture, you're wearing it as a circlet. Very fashion-forward.

Do you think Qhude would make a good diplomat?
14 Charisma means you could do mechanically worse :P His demeanor might be a bit confronting for some courts... but there are nations to the East and North that would probably react better to a brusque barbaric diplomat.
Ansha
That Wisdom might hurt a bit if he has to roll social skill checks, particularly if it involves Sense Motive. Speaking of which, I am really tempted to blow a feat on Additional Traits and pick up the Calistrian faith trait "Holy Schemer" from Faiths of Balance. Sense motive as a class skill with a +1 trait bonus would probably help in any future games Ansha plays with Utilinus.
I'm also half-tempted to boost Ansha's Charisma to 17 with the ability score boost at level 4. Not for any logical reason either--just because back in like, 2e, nymphs would occasionally take an interest in males with a 17 or higher Charisma. That, and I don't like even numbers.
Qhude
The Wis penalty might hurt at the start... but surely he just needs to start hitting people when they start being sneaky? There's no diplomacy like gunboat diplomacy.
Though Qhude would really probably look to a Warden type role in reality. I wouldn't see him suited to a General role to start with, but that could be something he grows into. Really depends on the state of teh 'kingdom' we get to take control of.

Probably an appropriate juncture to do a cross-post to all my more active PbPs about an interruption to my posting schedule that is imminent.
My wife is about 37 weeks pregnant, which basically means that the bun is fully cooked and ready to pop at any time. This means that at some point in the next 1 day to 4 weeks I will suddenly and without notice disappear completely from the interwebs. I can't say when or for how long, but it will probably knock me out for up to a week or so before my wife and I get back on our feet and I'm of somewhat sound and untired enough mind to jump back online.
So if I do vanish, please don't fret as I shall return :) I would just ask for some leeway on posting frequency for a while as we adjust to the new baby floating around.
Joana
You already have one at home, don't you, Mark? Best parenting tip for adding a new baby I have: You're constantly going to be telling your oldest that he's going to have to wait while you feed the baby or change the baby or put the baby down for a nap or whatever. Fairly often, when you're finally doing something with your older child, turn very sternly to the baby and tell it, "I'm sorry; you're going to have to wait until I'm done doing x with your brother." The baby is oblivious, and if the other is young enough (mine are 3-1/2 years apart), they'll totally buy it. Cuts down on the older one feeling neglected if they see the younger one occasionally getting fed the same line.
Qhude
Yep - we've got a three year old at home to play servant to as well. Tip is indeed a good one Joana ;) we're lucky enough to have two family members coming through town as well to help out for the next month or so; the hope being there's enough attention being lavished everywhere to keep both old and young in order.
Joana
Thats an awesome tip. I'll try and remember that one when my time comes.
If you're still hanging around these messageboards two babies from now, I'll remind you. ;)
Still on the birthday bacchanal? Shaping up to be an even-slower-than-usual weekend with so many people out of town.

I should get free this evening. Theres a BBQ today first.

Tis merely a jest is all. I'm half assuming the little token to be a cursed item that will slowly eat away at Qhude's admittedly flimsy sense of decency... though Qhude's retelling of the tale will likely gloss over the specifics of what the old guy was saying. Bethany will probably be invited to Ansha's for tea and spill the beans though...
Qhude
Actually more a combination of Qhude's ignorance of who Anghazan is combined with a perception that it was an irrelevant detail.
Qhude came for Bethany, and the old man offered a means of getting her back. However the old guy justified it to his followers is on him. Qhude sees it as a pure win by getting the girl back without either him or N'bellocq ending up dead.
Joana
A perfectly reasonable True Neutral way of looking at it, if you're not a cleric. Tebati would mostly have a hang-up about it due to loyalty to her own goddess -- and Qhude taking a nice Bonuwat boy like N'bellocq and putting him in a position where he's hailed as a champion of another deity. Honestly, she'd have the same qualms if the colonials started hailing the two of you as champions of Abadar (and don't think Utilinus doesn't have that in store, if we succeed at his task. :P )
Ansha
For her part, Ansha just has a very complicated relationship with evil Outsiders, particularly demons. Though she's not really above dealing with demons and devils, she's leery about other people that are involved in any way with them.
EDIT: Not like her retailored Hermean Blood feat, Master Manipulator, doesn't leave the possibility of being hounded by demons in her (and the party's :D) future. Hm, maybe she can try to make contact with Angazhan and try to play Angazhan against Nocticula.... ;P
