Ricter feels a stab of concern as the wyvern goes for Fenna, but confident it won't stand for long against Casimir's vengeful attack he stays in formation and systematically crushes his foes:

Malthir's concern grows for Fenna's safety and knowing he is too slow to act before it does, Kalev, make sure it doesn't fly off with Fenna!

Assuming that Cas' attacks didn't kill it outright.

Your Humble Narrator

Casimir's furious slashes left the wyvern roaring in pain, three long gashes across its body oozing blood. Ricter destroyed two more zombies with contemptuous swings of his flail, finding himself without a third target left to strike.

Kalev slew the wyvern by cutting its throat open with Cleft just as it started to take off, then stepped back and swung his weapon with fury at the remaining northern zombies. His efforts proved once again in vain against their armour and shields.

Fenna's face took on an almost perturbed aspect as the draconic maw closed about her, and her hand started to move to a pocket before the beast was slain.

Extracting herself from the clenched teeth, she gives the others a nod of thanks as she begins another prayer. "I call for Aroden's fortune, to guide our actions towards victory against this necromantic threat."

Meanwhile, the wing-hilted spiritual sword continued its flashing assault on the remaining wyvern.

Kip's action stands as is. Slowing the wyvern is the primary idea anyhow.

Fenna's prayer washed over the battlefield, primarily affecting the Guardians, while Kip used his magic to slow the enemies.

The zombies caught on the other side of the pit all retreated. mostly out of sight in the passageway behind the pillar. Those caught with the Guardians pressed their attack, but very few remained. Fenna and Casimir were both struck on their armour, but neither suffered a wound.

Didn't see the harm in clarifying as movement will break his shield wall.

Malthir added two more sword slashes to the wyvern's hide but cut through too far on the second, numbing his arm as the swing continued forward into the hard earth. The Wyvern retaliated but the heavily armoured Paladin was unharmed.

Are we keeping this is single rounds for the moment? I know Cas was planning on dropping his grenade down the south pit.

We have 4 rounds until the north pit closes and 5 until the south one does. Would it be easier to just post 4 rounds of actions at once? Assuming nothing happens before then? We can of course retcon the rounds after any interruption, should one occur.

Anyone have a sack to put the raven in?

I have some alchemist's fire or acid to drop down the hole as well... if you think it a good use.

Knowing Kalev, coupled by the fact he can currently fly, I'm surprised he hasn't gone down the pit. ;)

Your Humble Narrator

You are welcome to post four rounds of actions at once. That would be easier.

I was going to give Kalev this information in a spoiler but given his posting rate I think i'll just narrate him.

Peering down into the pits below him, Kalev shouted-

Nothing moving down there... I don't think they survived the fall!

If they are all dead, I guess I'll save this for another occasion. Oh, and I have a bag you can put the bird in. Casimir says, putting away his grenade and pulling a waterproof bag out of his backpack.

If this bird is being used to spy on us... should I attempt to blind or deafen it?

I don't think Kip has anything else pressing to do in the next 4 rounds. :P

Casimir holds out the sack, so Kalev can deposit the bird into it.

"I see no reason to waste precious spells when the same result can be accomplished with a sharp blade. Our liege lord was quite clear about what we should do with the bird, and I tend to agree."

"I imagine the bag should limit the bird's sight, but deafening it would prevent eavesdropping once we have questioned it. Might it be the familiar of the necromancer responsible for this undead uprising?"

Kalev doesn't need to be able to fly to jump down pits :).

I know, that is what makes it even more surprising. ;)

Kip looks a little uncomfortable with Cas' suggested solution. I doubt the bird is evil...

That is a likely thought, Fenna. If this bird is indeed a familiar, then it is an extension of its evil master. We should be careful, our enemy may be able to use the link to spy on us or even cast spells upon us. Make no mistake, this is a weapon and we should have no qualms about destroying it. Casimir says, sensing Kips hesitation.

"By the gods, are we having an ethical debate about this? At best it's an animal. See what it knows, then snap it's neck. We need to press on quickly"

He still has his shield up, peering into the darkness into which the remaining zombies retreated.

Fenna, cah you speak with it? I know you would prefer not to kill it but we need to find out what we can and then as much as I prefer not to do it we need to remove it from being used against us as Cas says.

Intimidate it then question it.

Fenna already used her speak with animals ability today, to speak with the horses.
