From his vantage point atop the nearest mud dome, Ilya smiles in satisfaction. "Ha ha! Behold the power of magic, you scaly bastards!" The elven wizard whispers a few words of magic and points at the lizardfolk to the east of Fenna. (charm person, Will DC 17) "You! Go protect the front gates so that more humans don't come in!"
Mr. Chompers executes a death roll...

The concubine is dragged into the mud by a grinning crocodile, who leisurely bites her for her troubles. Despite itself and its allies being attacked, the weak-willed concubine shrugs and moves to obey (this provokes an AOO from Kalev is he wishes to take it...).
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
The next map update includes what Ilya can see from his vantage point- King Vesket ducking into a hut on the north side with a crocodile and a few warriors escorting him. He doesn't look like hes recovered from the stinking cloud yet.
The last concubine in the fight is currently being sat on by a crocodile, and she continues to desperately try and escape- getting nowhere in the process... The only concious Narlmarch Mugger shuffles in close to Kalev and tries to bite him, but slips in the pools of blood all over the battlefield, and ends up headbutting him in the boot instead...

Sorry about that, my internet has been down since yesterday afternoon.
"We should finish this quickly," Fenna says, looking at the unconcious bodies strewn about the lizardfolk village, "they will not be incapacitated indefinately."

Malthir Al Dagon |
Ilya, can you web this group as soon we move away from here to keep them occupied while we move against the king? Otherwise we should finish them. They might be useful for bargaining though in case he holds the boy hostage against us.
Casimir |
It seems we must face the king and his remaining minions if we wish to save the boy. Let us heal our injuries and cast whatever defensive spells we have at our disposal. We had best neutralize the surviving warriors, so they don't fall upon us from behind. Perhaps we can use them to strike a bargain. And if the king harms the boy, I say we burn this place to the ground, and rout the survivors into the swamp.
Casimir pulls out his wand of healing and applies it to himself.

We should be clear of the warriors this round, be ready to web them up! Follow me to the king, we can cast as we move. Kalev, what do you think about entangling them once we are upon them?
DM Alexander Kilcoyne |
Well, I can't actually remove the green stinking cloud from the map without re-doing and scaling the whole thing... so do your best to ignore it ;).
Ilya takes flight twenty feet above the battlefield, and his stinking cloud dissipates, the conjuration magic holding it failing. Mr. Chompers finishes off the concubine he was grappling and left to his own devices, begins to savage the warriors regaining conciousness with his bite and tail.

Malthir blesses the group and then begins to lead the advance towards Vesket and his men. Kalev follows, causing the roots and weeds of the muddy ground to rise up and tether the stunned survivors, making Mr. Chomper's carnage even easier to wreak. Vesket's remaining two braves maintain their courage and spread out, wary of any more magic. Fenna follows Malthir closely. King Vesket exits the hut and with a small run up and a mighty roar, hurls a javelin at Malthir. As if blessed by the gods themselves, the large, simple weapon's point pierces Malthir's mighty armour and his chest, imbedding itself mere inches from his heart. King Vesket's remaining warriors roar in triumph at the throw, taking heart from his efforts.
