This is a push post. Please respond within 24 hours.
Moments after the cry for help, a bell starts ringing.
RAAAOOOORRRR, comes a barbaric yawp from above, and you feel the tower shake as a large Minotaur jumps from the floor above through an opening in the floor to the area you're in.
On the opposite side of you, the halfling jailor says, That's Captain Walharrow! F+++!
The Minotaur, previously holding two torches, tosses then to the wooden walls, alighting them. See the fire tokens on the map; anyone entering these spots take 1d6 fire damage and risk being set on fire.
Clyde: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (20) + 0 = 20

Pending action....
Despite all of the commotion, the old half-elf begins to get excited, "I never seen Meenotour before! This so exciting!" As he says this he pulls another parchment from his bag, dips the quill, and adopts a readied position to write something.
Will be writing observations about qualities of Minotaur(s?)

Clyde Reinhart |

Clyde cringes at the sound echoing through the tower. "Everything that can go wrong..." Clyde rolls his eyes as he pulls out his shield and sword.

"Rath" |

Rath will avoid the flames, but make no move to impede the Minotaur, wary incase it decides to lash out anyway, By all means, escape, we wont stop you. We're not being paid for that.
Cant tell what is fire on the map. Action is go defensive.

Shadoo Mortimer |

Ok; I tried to move my character but couldn't (on the map). I will narrate here my actions, anyway.
Shadoo moves some steps ahed, and pulls the strength from his cold lungs. The paladin of Tyr didn't feel like he had time to wait - while Rath was right about they not being paid to deal with a prison escape, it didn't mean Shadoo's mission to deal with evil would be put aside.
The Dragonborn finally let out his breath weapon, hoping the cold could also deal with the fire - and that it'd be enough for the creature to fear him and his friends.
Breath Weapon (Cold): 2d6 ⇒ (3, 5) = 8
Moving within 15 feet of the enemy and trying to position myself to get some of the fire as well, if possible.
The Paladin of Tyr commands you to surrender immediately! - he screams, completing his attempt to intimidate.
Intimidate: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

Ragnar the Grim |

Ragnar sees an opportunity to get back at the money gouging bastards that run this jail. And he takes it.
"Hey jailer," He says to the halfling, just loud enough that he is heard over the raging minotaur. "20 gold for each of us to deal with this minotaur, 140 gold total, dead or alive. Or you can deal with it yourselves." He crosses his arms and leans up against the wall, waiting for a response.
That is my turn. As a player, I figure they would reward us for dealing with the minotaur, but I don't think as a character I would have any reason to believe that.

Sati Fezim |

Sati yells in surprise at the sight of the raging minotaur dropping down from above. She runs out into the hallway, not wanting to be cornered in a room, but still keeping the monster within her sight.
Unless the minotaur seems likely to stand down, she will point one hand at it and channel a bolt of divine ki energy in its direction.
Readied action to cast Sacred Flame at the minotaur if it's not intimidated/willing to ignore us.
sacred flame damage: 1d8 ⇒ 1 (DC 12 Dex save to avoid)

AL DM |

Round 1 Summary:
Clyde draws his sword. Rath goes full defense. Ragnar barters with the halfling.
The Minotaur charges Shoo (who is the closest).
Charge Attack vs Shoo: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Damage: 2d8 + 4 ⇒ (7, 1) + 4 = 12
The horns gore deep into Shoo, but he withstands the assault and stands strong, despite the injury.
The halfling says, Only if you capture him alive and put him back in a cell! I ain't paying for no dead pirate! With that, the halfling moves further away from the Minotaur.
Shoo looks around for water and easily finds an old chamber pot and a bowl collecting water from the rain near a window.
Shadoo moves to blast his breath at the minotaur. Since the minotaur has moved, you can't also get the flames; but otherwise would have been able to. I'm assuming you'd rather get the minotaur than the fire. We can backtrack if I misinterpreted your intentions.
Minotaur con Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
The minotaur muscles through the icy breath of the dragonborn, but still it hurts.
When Shadoo blasts a threat as dangerous as the breath weapon, the minotaur takes a pause.
Normally, I'd say that a pirate captain - especially one that's a minotaur - would be immune to any intimidation, as that's the bread and butter of a pirate captain. But that's a good roll and I don't want to invalidate it. I'll give everyone advantage next round. This special ruling may not apply next time.
Sati launches a bout of flame, and the minotaur Dex save: 1d20 ⇒ 9 gets slightly burned.
Rathene tries to back into the corner, away from the Minotaur.
Sashah writes everything down.

"Rath" |

Rath groans as the minotaur chooses to fight, rather than live. Be prepared to pick up the pieces! he shouts toward Sashah as his bow comes out, arrow nocked. Sensing the beast distracted, Rath pulls back a little farther before unleashing a powerful shot. He then shouts an order to Shoo to back away.
Attack with Advantage: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 161d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
Damage: 1d8 + 14 + 1d8 ⇒ (1) + 14 + (8) = 23
Sharpshooter with Maneuvering strike if the 16 hits, allowing Shoo to disengage.

Clyde Reinhart |

The floor!
“Everyone stand back. I have a terrible, terrible idea."
Clyde yells to the minotaur, "Hey, ya fat, ugly land lover! I bet you still drink milk from yur mum's udder!"
With every ounce of energy he can muster, Clyde sprints toward the damaged floor. Running around the side as far as he can before having to long jump to get to the other side.

Athletics: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24

Sashah |

If Minotaur is still up..
The half-elf pauses his observation and scribbling for a moment, and stares at the Minotaur shouting one word, obviously empowered by magic, "Turn!" Casting 'Comand' (Wis DC 13) He then prepares himself to write some more adding, "Yes, turn around. I vould like to see back structure."
If Minotaur is down..
Getting up from his position, the half-elf excitedly hefts his backpack over one shoulder and quickly moves over to the downed Minotaur. As he moves he reaches into the side pocket with a practiced hand and draws medicine supplies, parchments still in his other hand. He then kneels down over the minotaur and carefully places his parchments on the floor nearby within reach. The half-elf proceeds to stifle any bleeding wounds meanwhile scribbling notes about minotaur anatomy.

Sati Fezim |

Sati pulls a handful of throwing darts out of her pocket and aims them at the minotaur, then backs up a few steps, not wanting to be on the front lines.
Attack (advantage): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 191d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Bonus Action Attack (advantage): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 171d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
Damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Ragnar the Grim |

Ragnar grins and unsheathes his greatsword.
"You heard him boys and girls, we want the heifer alive!"
He gives himself to his rage and lunges a the minotaur, roaring.
Rage activated, advantage on STR checks and saves, +2 damage with melee weapons, and Damage Resistance to every damage type except psychic for 1 minute (10 rounds?)
He rushes at the minotaur and tries to push it towards the broken floor.
STR Athletics: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
STR Athletics Adv.: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
1/10 Rounds of rage

Shoo Zahal |

Shoo suffers the charge from the minotaur and that is enough to make him snap. He turns at everyone and starts yelling.
-What the f#~@ did you mean with that? I'm in the middle of trying to save people, put your swords and horns up your ass, you bloody wankers! Whoever want to f*+# up with this piece of, literally, b%%+%@%#- he points at the minotaur -come here and fight, but leave me out of this, you f!%#ers! Blast you all!
His face is red, and he's totally out of his way. He's obviously pissed by the fact of being attacked while being the only one not showing a beligerant attitude, and he can't think of anything else at the moment.
-You, dumb m%~+%!###$@&!- he yells at the minotaur -Your mom must have been smoking while having yo inside! Can't you see there's eight or ten people here, and I'm caring about the fire? Couldn't you just run away?
His turn will go on and on and on... shouting, yelling and insulting.

AL DM |

I'm going to do something normally not allowed by the rules in order to create a cinematic effect.
Clyde antagonizes the minotaur and toads him towards the weakened floor. The minotaur roars again and charges through, knocking Shoo and Shadoo to the side to give chase.
Rath looses an arrow at the beast as he runs by. Ragnar tries to knock the minotaur into the weakened floor.
Upon reaching Clyde, the floor starts to crack beneath him. With Ragnar's additional push, the minotaur falls to the floor below, rubble landing on top of him. rubble damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Meanwhile, Shoo let's out a torrent of cuss words brilliant enough to impress a pirate.

Shadoo Mortimer |

Is there such thing as an "attack of opportunity" in 5E?
Shadoo attacks the raging creature as it passes by him.
Attack (Longsword): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14 Not sure what to add for "advantage"
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4 Using it one-handed because of my shield
The paladin forgets about the minotaur for a moment and turns his attention back to the fire. He then moves around searching for a bucket or something else to help him put out the fire.
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 20

AL DM |

Yes, you can have an opportunity attack against the minotaur. I should have mentioned that.
For advantage (or disadvantage), roll a d20 roll twice and take the higher (or lower) result. There is no such thing as "double advantage," and if you have one, the other cancels out. Also, you can spend inspiration to gain advantage or cancel disadvantage.
You can easily find a bucket.

Ragnar the Grim |

After the minotaur falls into the pit, Ragnar jumps down after him, bringing the flat of the blade of his greatsword down on the beast's face, and the weight of his own body down on the minotaur.
Attacking recklessly, I gain advantage on my attacks, and attacks against me have advantage until the beginning of my next turn.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
Attack Recklessly: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
Damage in the off chance that I hit -.-: 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (1, 3) + 5 = 9
Rage round 2/10

AL DM |

Round 2 (complete)
Shadoo slashes the minotaur, barely clipping him as he runs towards Clyde.
Sati - I'm guessing you want to move to still be able to hit the minotaur who's now on Level 1.
Sati moves over to the new hole in the ground and throws down two darts, both piercing into the tough hide.
With the minotaur gone, Rathene moves away and heads for the stairs.
Sashah takes more notes on the minotaur. Sashah, don't count your spell as used. You can dictate a new action if you like, but it's no longer relevant and I figure you wouldn't want to waste it.
Round 3

Note to everyone: for PBP games, I give out inspiration at specific parts in the game. Your next inspiration point is coming up after this tower. So use em up while you got them! You can't have more than one at a time.

"Rath" |

Rath, seeing the minotaur drop down into the floor below, glides over to the edge of the weakened floor, trying to gain a vantage point to fire on the foe, knowing he only needs to see a sliver to fully unleash his sharpshooting skills. His seeks the flame and the void as he lets loose some of his martial prowess, loosing two arrows back to back, with maximum force.
Attack 1 with Advantage from Inspiration/Sharpshooter: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 81d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 191d8 + 14 ⇒ (7) + 14 = 21
Attack 2 with Sharpshooter: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 221d8 + 14 ⇒ (3) + 14 = 17
Inspiration and Action surge used, likely 38 points of damage.

Clyde Reinhart |

Okay, it worked, but I expected him to be more hurt than that. It's okay, it's okay. Uhh, new plan.
Clyde looks around the room for a moment looking for something to push onto the minotaur. As Ragnar leaps down the hole to attack the beast, Clyde sighs to himself.
Clyde leaps in after Ragnar, sword pointed towards the monster.
Leaping attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Rolling advantage in case the minotaur is prone from the fall
Leaping attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Sashah |

If Minotaur is down..
Getting up from his position, the half-elf excitedly hefts his backpack over one shoulder and quickly moves over and carefully hops down to the downed Minotaur. He then kneels down over the minotaur and carefully places his parchments on the floor nearby within reach. The half-elf proceeds to stifle any bleeding wounds meanwhile scribbling notes about minotaur anatomy.

Shoo Zahal |

Shoo goes on cursing, but he recovers some of his common sense and starts dealing with the fire again with the help of the paladin. Curse words come from his mouth from time to time, though.
Shoo and Shadoo, looks like a comic duet :P Also, anything we need to roll for the fire brigade? If you want to roll for me, please use Inspiration.
Being immersed in the fire fighting helps Shoo ignore his pain and actually helps him recover.
Using 2nd Wind.
1d10 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12

AL DM |

Round 3
Rath fires two arrows into the minotaur before he even has a chance to get up, while Ragnar and Clyde leap into the pit right now top of the minotaur, laying into the massive creature with their swords.
This minotaur tries to break out of the rubble: Athletics: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
But his injuries and the two men nearly on top of him makes it difficult to get up. That is one unlucky minotaur.
A scream is heard from the halfling down the stairwell.
Shoo and Shadoo, working together, put out the flames. No rolls required, just takes an action and the right equipment.

Hearing the halfling scream, Clyde curses. “Hells. You have this handled Rag-" Clyde looks at the hulking giant for a moment, rivaling even the size of the downed minotaur. "Yeah you got this."
Clyde spins his blade a quarter turn in his hand and attempts to strike the minotaur with the flat of the blade once more before departing to help the halfling.
Non-lethal strike: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

Ragnar slams into the beast with the flat of his blade once more.

Irog Brokenjaw: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Running out of the room, Clyde sees one of the jailors (a dwarf) holding the halfling with a blade to his neck. He's arguing with the other halfling brother.

It's Friday! Please respond within 48 hours.

Shoo Zahal |

Shoo takes a pause to look at the dwarf. This comes out of the blue, and Shoois really shocked. Maybe he developed an affection for the half-orc prisoner? He doesn't want to answer or try anything for fear of him really killing the halfling - who is everything but kind, but still...
Insight 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

"Rath" |

When Clyde rushes off, Rath groans. Getting his nose into more of a mess. he thinks to himself, before hurrying after him. When the Dwarf gives his ultimatum, Rath snorts; You say that like I care what happens to him. I can take our coin off him dead or alive. However, many of this group have righteous leanings, so the question is master dwarf, is what are you going to do after you anger the ones that just put down that minotaur without breaking a sweat?
Persuasion: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13

Clyde Reinhart |

Hearing Rath's comments, Clyde joins in, a coy smile on his lips. "You know if you kill the halfling, there's nothing stopping my friends here from turning you into a pin cushion. The lady orc is with us now, so how's about you put the nice halfling down and have a chat with us. I may even be able to prevent that giant over there from using your liver for a hat."
Assisting Rath. (If that's still a thing in 5e)

"Rath" |

Advantage roll: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 rawr!
Passive Perception beats that DC
So Sahnd put you up to this, and for only 25 gold. comments Rath coldly, Your life should have been worth so much more. But I'm interested in meeting this Sahnd, and so you may be of some use to me. Tell me where you were supposed to deliver Rathene, and I wont kill you where you stand.

Sashah |

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
The half-elf stops just before hopping down the hole and sighs, Why so many things to stop my research? He then turns and stares down the dwarf and says one word, obviously magically enhanced, "Grovel!" Casting 'Comand' (Wis DC 13)
After his word he continues down to keep the minotaur alive.

Clyde Reinhart |

Hearing the dwarf's muttering, Clyde starts formulating a plan. "A Gray Patriot! I'd love to know the answers to my friend's questions, but there was no need for all this. We've bailed your friend out. We weren't sure where to find you, and we're looking to possibly join up with you. Lemme go get her. She was just in the middle of telling us about how she had to warn you of some sort of kobold ambush? I forget the details, minotaur attack and all.“
Clyde turns around and walks back to the group, whispering to Rath as he passes. "Don't let him move."

Clyde Reinhart |

When he returns, he huddles the group and whispers to Rathene. "We need you to tell your friend that you found out the kobolds are planning to attack the patriots. Also we need to come up with a reason you can't leave with them. I'm not willing to hand you over if you want out of that life. Perhaps just temporarily if you're willing."

"Rath" |

Oops, sorry about that!
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Looks like my comments can stay!

Ragnar the Grim |

When he returns, he huddles the group and whispers to Rathene.
Isn't Rathene up the stairs?
As Sashah tends to the minotaurs wounds, Ragnar ties it up and starts to drag him towards the stairs "Come old man," he says to Sashah. "You can study the thing when we get it in a cell."
Ragnar has a push/drag/lift of 1020 lbs, how heavy is a minotaur?
As he enters into an apparent hostage situation, dragging a minotaur behind him, he stops and looks at the dwarf holding a dagger to the jailer's throat.
"You are out of your depth little dwarf. Drop the dagger before you get hurt."
Intimidate: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15

Intimidate: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16
If that works, Ragnar will say to the jailer, "That's gonna be 25 more gold," then head up the stairs, dragging the minotaur behind.

AL DM |

To Rath he says, I got a crew nearby. They'll kill anyone who comes out who ain't me and Rathene.
Bluff: 1d20 ⇒ 10
DC 10 Wisdom Insight to determine that He's bluffing.
To Ragnar, he says in surprise, The kobolds are going to attack?! Where? When?
As Ragnar drags the minotaur to the stairs, the dwarf backs up with the halfling in tow. Stay back, I warned ya! His eyes follow the Goliath as he moves up the stairs, where he spies Rathene peaking out from around the corner.
Rathene! Come on! Let's get out of here. Sahnd needs to know about that attack.
Rathene looks to you all and nods. She says. Yes, the kobold attack that's happening in two days.
The dwarf responds, Two days! That's the night of the meeting! Come on, let's go!
Pausing here to see if anyone interjects. If you don't, they'll leave together.

Clyde Reinhart |

Insight: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
"No need for that, Mr. Dwarf. Take your friend. Glad to have been of assistance." Clyde smiles and nods to Rathene as she passes.
