Cthulhutech Organized Play (Inactive)

So with the new organized play out for cthulhutech I was wondering if any one wanted to give it a go. This is an Eldritch Society focused campaign they have going so far. With the first three adventures and it seems as though some material is assumed to have been carried over from the adventures in the rulebooks earlier. With that said I would gladly run you through these if there is enough interest (i.e. 4-6 people interested)

Well that's two. I'd like to have two more.

If you two would like go ahead and create a character using the standard rules in the book. So that means your character is either going to be a tager, sorcerer, or para psychic. There are other choices but no mecha for this game.

You will need to create an alias eventually. But for now you can PM me and I'll give you my email to send it to.

Ok. I used to be up to speed on Cthulhutech. I ran a widow tager and stealth got out of hand because the enemies lacked the chance to defend since damage is based on comparison. Are you still using the framewerk system?

Yes we are using the framewerk system.

Definitely interested - have an idea for an ex-pilot. Would mecha skills be verbotten by the campaign rules? (I was thinking a few points put towards them to represent "Used to do this all the time, but it's been awhile.")

is this a PBP, im new to pathfinder(like a week since i started reading and stuff) and new to... uh.... well role-playing in general would you take me if its not play by post?

So I thinking either Naz' Tager or human sorcerer. I'm a little concerned about a mixed party; those Tagers are pretty vicious, if gameplay is pretty much dominated by combat any non-Tagers could be reduced to eating popcorn in the back-rows.

All right - working on ideas, but have to work tonight. I should be able to finish in the morning - this is gonna take a LOT of skills to get just right.

Not sure. Or they could not be pilots... but if they cant be a tager, i will look at my books and see what race can be a tager :) =^^=

All right, here's the idea for a character - Ex NEG who got drummed out of the service, and was grabbed by the Society who recognized that she is still dedicated to the fight. She has a small PI job on the side as a cover for her activities for the Society, and uses her Tager abilities for investigation more than combat.

Crunch below, probably best to check it since it's been a very long while since I made a character and memory of the mechanics is fuzzy.

dont forget your standard tager can be sorcerers as well. Only half your orgone is gone not all of it.

Here's what I have so far:

Leshawanna Carter Jackson is the daughter of refugees from the Louisiana delta, which has been lost to the raising seas and the Deep Ones.

She somehow managed to thrive in the sprawling refugee camps that sprang up around Jackson, becoming an activist journalist championing the cause of the dispossessed gathered there.

Perhaps it was inevitable, given that her grand-mother, was a famed Voodoo priestess that she would also be drawn to the sorcerous underground that also existed in the camps.

She was targeted by death by the Chrysalis Corporation, because an investigation of hers had lead her to one of their subsidiary operations, trading human breeding stock to the Deep Ones for artifacts salvaged from the depths ; but she was saved by Tagers of the Eldritch Society.

So now, not surprisingly, she works for the Eldritch Society.

Not entirely pleased with the end result; when things get violent she's pretty much a wall-flower.

I figure the Foe is the human-trade group she exposed.

I haven't forgotten. I am just out of town working at the moment. I will look over everything this coming weekend.

How many people are you still looking for? I've always been interested in Cthulhutech but never had the time to learn.

Still looking for 1 or 2. Newcomers welcome. I only ask that at some point you buy the core book. Doesn't have to be immediate or anything just down the road.

I will be looking over the characters submitted this long weekend. Also it seems as though cthulhutech gives a little more lee way in sanctioned material.

Concept and Background:

Axel was in the NEG, training the new recruits. Hand to hand, using firearms. The usual. He grew angry quickly, and often showed the recruits how to do it, by example, aka, he did it to them.

Eventually a ES member targeted him for a possible recruit, it took a few months to convince him, but eventually he was told everything, and shown the horrors that lurk under the surface of the world. More terrifying than he could think. Yet, he did not run, he strapped on his armor and waded into the fight

It was quite the shock for those of the ES when he emerged from his great ordeal with the creatures of the void, and fire and magma was his new forte. An actual Efreet, a monster among monsters joined with him. Fueled by his own anger and focus the two bonded.

Match out, Axel is back, and this time, he has backup

if you are not ooc'd then I have the minimum of what I need to get started.

I would like 1 more player before starting with Mom's Coming to Dinner 1: Hot Merchandise. That being said I see a couple of optons:

1. We wait for a minimum of one more.
2. We continue one man down with a three person "murder".
3. I DM PC a character in the "murder" to bring us up to numbers

Seth86, cirle, and Chris Kenney please weigh in with which option you would prefer. Also if you choose number 3 I will allow you to choose the Tager type to balance the party.

After re-reading the combat rules I realized not having any 'defensive' combat options would likely mean a short and tragic life for Ms. Carter Jackson.

Just a suggestion cirle but I would take Eldritch Society Sorcerer before I would Occult Scholar.

I say we can start with a ST tager as 4th. "Assigned" to us. Then if someone else weighs in, they can be part of our Murder. Thats my input =^^=

Unless GM notes otherwise, according to rules you cant have a skill past 3 at char creation.

@GM just wanna make sure if you waved this or not? If so im changing a bit to my character

Is there a particular link to the OP rules, or is it just standard CthuluTech?

Okay, I've only got the Core CthuluTech book, is that going to be an issue?

No issue with only have the core and it is just standard starting rules. Sorry I seemed to have overlooked that. No skill past 3 to start.

I also had 2 skills over, till i read through the rules again and went... doh! Its gonna take forever to get the metamorphosis. 40xp to get the 2 skills up to 4 thats pre req. Then all the in game stuff and finally the 75xp to actually do the metamorphosis. .. oh well. Lots to look fwd to i suppose :P

Currently thinking a human "Whisper" tager, unless anyone has any other thoughts.

Character is a bit eccentric, actually based off an old 1890's cthulhu character, shifted through a dark quirky lens.

It's been a while since I've made a character, so feel free to give me a slap if I've screwed up - I won't be offended.
