Eddie I think you are reading it backwards, the DC for us being asleep to the Perception check increases by +10 not that we get +10 to hear you. so if the DC was 11 it would be 21 because we are sleeping.

I am not going to lie this happened to me many moons ago playing 3.5 Eberron. I fought and killed a T-Rex Before Vital Strike existed solo as a Fighter 6/Wiz 2. Took me a while but my party slept the whole thing. You could move and shake someone who could then in turn wake someone else.

The DC for hearing a noise while asleep is +10 so you have to determine what the dc of said noise is. Contributing factors is distance. I am 10 feet away from you so that’s another +1 to the DC. But regardless the DM said the dc was 12 so you wouldn’t subtract 10 to your Perception because your not getting a negative the DC is being increased. You see what I’m saying? Just read the Perception skill in core rule book. The DM is determining the DC and factoring in the variables. For example acrobatics check to jump a crevice10ft wide. Let’s say dc 5. Now the GM states the surface is slippery. DC is increased by 10. That makes the DC 15 the players don’t take a -10 the DM increases the DC.

Okay. Let me just say this to set the record straight. I work full time as a teacher. On Wed. evenings I help teach Confirmation for my parish and also teach on the weekends for different institutions. I am not ignoring games, I might be a little slow in getting to them.

When we get into combat I will be using the information from the google slides to roll for iniative. If you are not there then I will not be able to add that to the combat so you might have to sit out that combat. The template is already there and it is not an unreasonable request.

Ironically, your GM was a player in the game of Crypt I just finished running so I still have all the materials needed to get everything all set up for you.

I am just a little confused as to where you are, the map in his campaign tab seems to bear little to no resemblance to what's going on in the gameplay thread.

Did you all just enter the Tomb for the first time?

We'd love to have you, I'm slightly confused as well, we have entered the crypt, discovered the mangled bodies on the ground, haven't identified the corpses yet, and were advised we heard noises. So pretty much if you'd like to start off as us just entering the crypt and give us a fresh account of what we see I'm totally for that, maybe roll with some of the rolls we already have. What do the rest of you think? I think we should start off as just entering the crypt and let you give us your account of what we see, Fresh start, fresh GM.

Yeah, we just entered the Crypt and you're welcome to restart us there. He told us to place our minis on the centre of the map for some reason, which doesn't match up with where we are at all.

The map is now in my header, let me know if you have any major objections to what you said you were doing, but otherwise I think this pretty properly kickstarts things.

Also just a note on my personal schedule - don't really expect much content from me on Sundays or Mondays though if we are in combat I will try to keep the updates coming as frequently as possible.

On the flipside, I have the ability to make pretty rapid progress wednesday through friday if you want to plan accordingly.
