I've got an idea for my character and cohort, but wanted to run it by you first as some of the details for the character aren't in the allowed sources.
I wanted to run a wizard, Divination specialist, who worships Soralyon, empyreal lord of Guardians, Magic and Monuments. He has been sent to the Stolen Lands to found churches and monuments to his Lord and grow the faith in these newly civilized lands. I had wanted to use the Evangelist PRC from Inner Sea Gods, which is allowed but, his Deific Obedience is from Chronicle of the Righteous and his cohort a Paladin of Soralyon with any followers being worshipers from the church, clerics, mages, magi and etc.
Nevermind. Inoing to get the details for this post I saw that worshippers of Empyreal lords don't get Deific Obedience, but Celestial Obedience and therefore can't qualify for the Evangelist PRC. Will have to give this more thought. May just run as straight wizard then.

I havn't made alaises yet as instructed, so here goes some more information
There are 10 Wizards, and 10 Rangers that are following the group, they are what is to be the Begining of the new Citadel, Citadel Dread Moore. Once the Citadel is created there will of course be a contingent of Hellknight Signifers and Armingers that will show up. These are the beginings of a great citadel that is to be housed within the land.
If you allow I will spend prestige to 'rank up' in the Hellknight order once I reach 12-13 I should be able to take Lictor or the equivalent rank and have a contigent of Hellknights, Sergeants, a Lieutenant, and a Captain[the captain will most likely be my cohort]
The Rangers are divided into 2 different section, Ranged and Melee
The Wizards are divided by the school of preference [10 differant schools]
I just would like to add that I am not that happy with someone saying "AND I have xyz people following. And especially no Hellknights. I mean that didn´t work out the last time."

If you are not the GM, then I have to ask, why are you upset on how I create the Hero, and his retinue?

VERY VERY BAD past experience!!!! Also Hellknights are not the really nice chaps to have around, so there might be others who feel not too happy having them close.

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Happened in another game. Someone´s backstory said he was from a tribe.
Suddenly in the middle his whole tribe was there a few hundred people and laid claim to our spoils.
Took the castle, hey there are a few hundred with spellcasters and the gm said:" Well you said they would come but.... --> it ended in loads of discussions."
And Javert is a nice example, but he was also an extrem spoilsport, a partypooper! And commited suicide the moment he found out that if you put the law above else would destroy your humanity!
P.S. Yea Judge dread. The person I want to have living next to me.
But let´s see how it works out. In dubio pro reo!

Think of hellknights like judge dread, all law very little anything else. The trick is making the laws that they have to follow, as long as it does not conflict with their code which is pretty fair really. Their just heavy into the punishments and getting to the problem with their methods.

Sending a PM your way.

Ok, time for me to elaborate:
- This is the second time I do this same "campaign". Last time it was a little different, but really similar.
- Last time there was a Hellknight too. Great character, memorable.
- At the end of the "prologue", in accord with the player, which decided to leave the game, he became "bad", and turn on the other players. Great times, it was a nice surprise for the others. He became an antagonist NPC.
- I don't quite like HellKnights, as a personal choice.
- But I am not against a player have one. But...
- I want my heroes heroic. I'll make sure the HellKnight is a "HeavenKnight" at heart. And that goes for any submission. No psychopaths or loners in this campaign.
- About the followers... Anyone can try to abuse them. It will be my task to make the game good for everyone. You will have to trust me.
So:
- HellKnight is a valid class choice.
- All the characters are expected to be good, or Lawful Neutral (and I will exploit the Lawful part of the Lawful Neutral characters to make them work with the rest doing Good things).
- You will have to trust me that I will be able to make the game good for everyone.
- Caveat Emptor: If you plan to have a character "turn" on the other players, or "Game of Thrones" his way to power... well, it won't work. You won't like the game, as you won't be able to. This game is for people that want to have an "epic" fantasy campaign, saving the girl, the land and the world against impossible odds, together with a team of similar minded exceptional individuals.
Questions?

Cosmic Dream Lord |

@Corsario: Last time, you eventually made Leadership a free Level 7 bonus feat for the main PC character. Would you mind implementing that policy again? As I have found out, Summoners are a rather feat starved class. In contrast to Neji, I am hoping to make someone who is less of an accessory to their Eidolon in actual combat.

So far, if I am not mistaken, I have got 15 more or less complete submissions:
And another 11 people interested in joining:
So, what I need for you is:
The selection will be done on the 31st of July. You are still on time!
PS1: Yes I was planning in pre-accepting some character, but I haven't been able too. But I will do it shortly.
PS2: I plan to start with up to 16 characters. But if we got more, and they are good, I think I will accept more.
PS3: If you already proposed, and I skipped your submission by mistake, sorry, my bad, please add your post in the thread, and I will take it into account. The same if somebody wants to make a new submission. You are still on time!

Master Kwon |
Admittedly I have been taking my sweet time in creating my characters, I have the crunch for both characters mostly done but I have gotten hung up on the fluff. I have so much I could write about it that I get lost on where to start and get intimidated by it all.
That and I HATE doing equipment. Especially mundane equipment.
Still, I imagine that I could get it all finished up in an afternoon so I am still very much interested!

Lord Christian D'Elagante |

Go to Lord Christian D'Elagante.
Still needs a few minor tweaks..will be done soon.
Once again sorry for the long background..I could not stop typing.

- Check your equipment, may be you have buying too many expensive items
- I don't quite get the "went to study with the swordlords, but became a knight anyway" story. Why not beating Fredwen to become a knight, and avoid the swordlords chapter entirely?
- What is his opinion of King Noleski Surtova?
- Erastil es LG, and he wants to follow the Paladin code. What about making him LG?
- I guess he goes to the Stolen Lands to create a triving community, with a nice stronghold in the middle for his followers. What are his political ideas? A new kingdom? A vassal of Restov? Other thing? What kind of laws? What king of Kingdom? Part of the question is that the "romantic" ideals (an hereditary king with a noble body), the Brevoy "reality" (a seneschal turned into a de-facto king by political machination) and the Restov "way" (a meritocracy) are very different. What does he want?
- What etnicity he has? Kellid? Ulfen? Taldan?
- I think I will use Fredwen Lebeda... he "disappears" from your background, right?
Father Ezekiel
- How does he keeps the lion? I think he has no Handle Animal ranks.
- To make it more in line to Erastil, what about him and Titian having Stags as mount and companion? Even as "summoned" creatures? I mean, the lion sounds "macho", but stags go more in line with Erastil.
You are in! Congratulations.
I will send you, by PM, a secret for each Titian and Ezekiel.

Coalhouse Porter
- Charisma 8?!? Come on! In that case Alysandra would be the leader, and Coalhouse her consigliery. But Alysandra would be the one handling Coalhouse wires. What about raising it AT LEAST to 12? We need leaders in the Stolen Lands.
- So he works for the Surtovas? What does he thinks of them, really? What about his dad? Is he a Surtova?
- What does he thinks of his dad?
- What does he looks like? Is he elegant? Down to earth?
- What the others think of him? A dirty half orc wanna-be?
- What are his political inclinations? What kind of goverment he likes? More importantly, what place he wants on that goverment? Or he wants to be "on the side", a valuable ally without beign part of it?
- Be careful with that... we don't want a "Monopoly" game, but high fantasy / epic adventure. Why will he leave all of his business behind to adventure? Why not stay to play political games instead of leaving to face big threats of the new kingdom?
Alysandra Janus
- Does she and Coalhouse have "recognized" half siblings? Do they have one or two siblings that are legally heirs of their father, and that they should be "subsirvient" to?
- What does she thinks of Coalhouse? What about his plan?
- What is her relationship with her half brothers? A Mother? A big sister? A manager?
- What does SHE wants of her life?
- What about her mother? Where is her? Why she slept with her father?
- What about her political ideas?
So, Wyrm... Welcome to the adventure!
I'll also send you an email with secrets for your characters, just need to make a better idea of them.
