Can't Destroyerman "finish" the spell effects as a free action? He can't charge as Tatiana is on the way. But hits never less.
Destroyerman hits the Stag Lord, which pulls his sword out of Tatiana trying to defend himself with out success.

![]() |

Thinking it better I think Azurefang, as a cuadruped, do fit under the ceiling without problems, if he chooses not to attack the bandit outside.

Neji Lazula |

Tatiana is in the way? I could have sworn that D-Man had a straight path to that spot. As for finishing the effect of Enlarge Person as a free action, this is the first I ever heard about it. I know that Neji can end certain spells (D) as a standard.

![]() |

Well, consider you can end "favorable" spells as a free action when you wish so. I moved Destroyerman in the map, he had people laying around and Tatiana in the way, no he couldn't charge, but in this case is better as he keeps his AC, and hits anyway.

Tatiana Fortuna |

Corsario, I've very confused. Our lizardfolk allies dropped an Obscuring Mist which may prevent the Stag Lord from seeing Tatiana or Seraph, unless he has something that bypasses that. Or did the Mist not happen?
Then, the Stag Lord had a move action to move in front of Seraph and Tatiana, then a second move in back of them, then an attack action? Is that right? Is that one of those mythic things?

![]() |

Let's say the obscuring mist didn't happen, the idea was to "remove" the Lizardfolk from combat, not stop combat altogether

Tatiana Fortuna |

Fellow players, if you would appreciate friendly healing before you start dying, please maintain your current HP in the tag line below your avatar name (like Tatiana). Otherwise, I don't know how damaged you are. Cheers
Well, that's kind of crappy about the lizards, because I blew a channel to heal three characters that would fight. Without them in the equation, I probably would have tried to heal other multiple characters or dump a high level heal on Seraph.
Round 9
The huge spinning, glowing blue starknife continues to harass the Stag Lord.
Tatiana frowns at the sword in her gut just below her breastplate, "Ouch." She steps back pulling the sword from her and withdraws from the Stag Lord avoiding all AOO . She flys toward the gate arcing up and over to land next to the two down Swords and Akios. Her beautifully thin red cloak flapping behind her while her blood drips a trail.

![]() |

Got your point, you can return the channel for a healing spell on Seraph if you want. The spiritual weapon bypass what kind of damage reduction?

Halcorg |

Spiritual Weapon bypasses all DR - its damage is Force type.
Is the Stag Lord human at this point? Or some type of Fey? Just wondering as Halcorg has FE Fey.
------
Halcorg growls as the Stag Lord continues to show his evil by choosing to attack the women first.
Time to die fawn!!
Halcorg then jumps down and moves to attack the Stag Lord.
Not sure how far I can move, I will charge/attack if that is possible. Halcorg will also run and jump as the Star Lord did if that will get him closer.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27

![]() |

Human.
The is a wooden wall between you and the Stag Lord, so you need to avoid it. You can't reach him this turn. Moved Halcorg to the Ground Floor map.
Then the Spiritual Weapon makes full damage!
"Argggg!"
The Stag Lord screams when the shining Desna's Starknife finally hits him. In this case the effect seems to affect him fully.

Daliedhur |

Ok, so if I understand correctly, the bandit next to me is now a non-hostile, right? Also, the Stag Lord has cover, but not full cover - also correct? In that case:
Daliedhur drops down, dropping her sword next to her, and taking a shot at the Stag Lord.

Non hostile, charmed, right. Daliedhur don't have line of sight, and as Halcorg there is a wall, between them... Let me check if she can move enough to take an attack.

The Stag Lords decent is met with the swiftness of Seraphs blade. She lashes out with her longsword in an attempt to defend Maria and succeeds in connecting with the oncoming Stag Lords flesh. "You will fall monster! I Swear it!"

When the Stag Lord jumps in front of Tatiana and Seraph (did Tatiana make her AoO?) Seraph receives him impaling him with her sword in one leg!
"Damn you woman!"
She also feels how something is protecting him, keeping him from harm, but not enough for her great attack.
If the Stag Lord survives this - I know, it's a long shot - he will walk with a limp)
Seraph then goes against him with all her might and strength, but he is able to deflect her attacks.
Tatiana moved to upper floor, Seraph moved 5', Daliedhur moved to down map.
About Daliedhur, she manages to stand next to Neji and let an arrow fly towards the Stag Lord. Her arrow pierces him on the shoulder, making him flinch.

Xi'Tir |

Round 9
Xi reaches the top of the ramp and curses as she tries to find the Stag Lord. It was glaringly obvious something was happening below when Tatiana appeared, flying and bleeding from a bad injury. She curses louder in frustration. "Horse apples!"
She smiles when she hears the Stag Lords curse. "Dats right, bloody a Doe Lord good so I ken knock 'im down."
She tries to then hop onto the wall next to her and get a better view of the battle field.
FA: Move 5 ft to 92.21
MA: Sheath greatsword, FA Draw Longbow
Acrobatics - Jump to top of wall near ramp. DC 16 I think for 4ft: 1d20 ⇒ 16
SA: Cast Gravity Bow - Under the effect sof Lead Blades and Gravity bow.
Corsario
Did I make High Jump DC?
If successful do I have LoS?
Thanks!

![]() |

Xi'Tir: Maybe you want to change your actions. In the Upper Floor Map the grey area in the middle of the fort is the ruined ceiling of the ancient stone fort. The Stag Lord is below that ceiling. So there is no "up" you can go that gives you line of sight.

Xi'Tir |

Oh I was going to have her jump on what appeared to be a wall that ran upto the north east tower. So that isn't scaleable/able to be stood on? Just trying to clarify as the map was a little unclear.
Because directly north of the ramp it looks like there is a wall, so I was going to have her hop up since she was partially up the ramp. I see what you mean about the roof but that wasn't where she was hoping up to.

![]() |

Ohhh... I got it now. Yes, you can.
LOS? If you drop prone, yes. Standing up, no.
Jump is a move action, so you don't have time to sheath the sword.

![]() |

Tarina and Mulray are missing actions, right? I will continue tomorrow if they don't post yet.

![]() |

Azurefang keeps battling the bandit, while Tarina moves between Daliedhur and the unconscious Vodyanoy.

Mulray Gasparo |

Round 9
"Go get em..." Mulray makes his way around the platform while Karou drops from the roof. The little monkey gets behind the Stag Lord and bites at him.
Mulray to 90.10 on catwalk, Karou to 87.16?
1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 5 + 2 = 12

![]() |

Hi! we were waiting for you!
You won't have Line of Sight to the Stag Lord from there, are you sure?
And I am not sure you can get that far, you need to climb the stairs from the beginning (or do some acrobatics stunt).
Karou goes behind the Stag Lord and tries to bite him, unsuccessfully, but causing him to turn (he is flanked now).

![]() |

Round 9 - Heroes
Neji moves next to Daliedhur, while Destroyerman attacks the Stag Lord, hurting him.
Tatiana uses the distraction to fly away, into the upper floor platform. Her spiritual starknife also hits the Stag Lord.
Halcorg jumps down and approaches the Stag Lord.
Daliedhur follows Halcorg and let an arrow fly, which also hits the Stag Lord.
Seraph takes advantage of the jump on the Stag Lord to cut deeply in his leg.
Xi'Tir looks for a way to attack the Stag Lord, without success.
Tarina moves next to Daliedhur too, while Azurefang keeps battling one of the remaining bandits.
Mulray moves to a catwalk while Karou tris to bite the Stag Lord, flanking him.
Topper Red draws a knife and together with the bandit he charmed start attacking other of the remaining bandits.
"I now fight for Liberty! I now fight for Justice! And you can't defeat good!"
He keeps his Inspire Courage +2 on
Both Don and Michael Khavortorov charge the Stag Lord, from two different directions, and try to disarm him.

Don manages to disarm him! Both him and Michael hit him with their Aldori Duel swords, each from a different side, but their attacks seem ineffective. The Stag Lord sword falls 15' away from him, north-west, behind Seraph.
Round 9 - Bandits
The Stag Lord, surrounded, tries to roll towards his sword.
"My goddess will strike you all down! She will protect me!"
Acrobatics Check DC 26: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (3) + 18 = 21
He is unable to accomplish it, as Seraph stops him! He provokes an AoO from Seraph, Destroyerman and Karou (Don and Michael can't hurt him).
The bandit on the Upper floor, see Tatiana appears and see his chance to make history, he fires an arrow against her!

The other one attacks Azurefang.
Attack Roll: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Damage Roll: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
They both miss.
Round 10 - Heroes
Your turn, finish him off! He has AC 21, 54 remaining HP and Damage Reduction 10. You can add your bits of description to the action. He is flanked all around.

Tatiana Fortuna |

Round 10
When Tatiana loses sight of her huge spinning, glowing blue starknife that has been harassing the Stag Lord, it returns to her continues to spin above her head. The opportunistic bandit's arrow bounces harmlessly off Tatiana's full plate armor. She replies to the bandit by sending her Spiritual Weapon at him.
Then, Tatiana calls upon Desna's healing power to cure Ralph, Angelo, Akios and Xi'Tir.

Tatiana's spiritual weapon hits the bandit, while her channel heals and saves both Angelo and Ralph's lives. Akios also open his swollen eyes, and looks at her.
"Am I in heaven? Are you an angel?"
Halcorgs huge hit harms the Stag Lord (41 HP remaining).

Tatiana Fortuna |

Round 10.1
Akios also open his swollen eyes, and looks at her.
"Am I in heaven? Are you an angel?"
Tatiana smiles and replies. "Welcome back, Akios. The Lady of Fortune is not done with your service yet."

Neji Lazula |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

"Hiya!"
The Eidolon looks around for the source of the sound. It is confused. It clearly heard something, and yet, it sees nothing.
"Down here, silly!"
The Eidolon looks down and sees a most curious creature. She is tiny, barely a third of his size. She is cream and blue. Her skin is cream. Her hair is blue. Her clothing is blue. Her large eyes are gold, though. She has a... smile takes up most of her tiny face.
The Eidolon wonders how he knows what smiles is.
"Hiya?" the Eidolon offers slowly.
"Ya talk!" the small creature exclaims with glee. She claps her little hands together. "Ya talk! That is so wicked!"
"I talk?" the Eidolon repeats curiously.
"Ya do!" the small entity answers. She begins scratching her... chin. Again, the Eidolon wonders how he knows such things. "...So what's yer name? My new bestest buddy has to have a name!"
"My name?"
The Eidolon ponders. An identity she says? Now that he thinks about it, he would like one. Something to tell him apart from other Eidolons.
The small creature ignores him. Her attention seems to be elsewhere. The Eidolon shrugs. He can wait. He has all the time in the world.
"...Big Man? No. Too lame. Yer gonna protect me, so Guardian Guy? Protector? N'aw."
Protect her? The Eidolon ponders this revelation. She is quite small. She is quite fragile. She is his new bestest buddy. The Eidolon nods. He can see her logic, so he accepts it.
"How about something scary? Something to keep the bad guys away! Killer? N'aw, too scary. Destroyer... Man, that's bland. Wait... Destroyer... Man... Destroyerman! That's perfect! You're a Big Man, and you'll Destroy all the bad guys! Destroyerman!"
Destroyerman nods.
He likes that name.
~~Birth of a Kingdom~~
Destroyerman hears soft cries.
"Mistress Neji?"
Destroyerman is worried about his Summoner. For the past six months, she has withdrawn into herself. Minimal interaction with the others. Minimal effort to take care of herself. If he could materialize on this plane as she slept, Destroyerman feels like he would see her having nightmares. Master Sevenstar has mentioned that she occasionally had those.
"Mistress Neji?" he inquires again.
"...Janus," she mumbles to herself, though the Eidolon cannot hear the rest. However, he knows what she means.
For the past two decades, he, Janus, Noelle, and Neji had been the best of friends. They had shared many adventures, ones that had made Master Sevenstar famous back in Restov. It makes sense that Neji would miss her friends. For him not to be at her future wedding is still a bit hard for the little gnome to swallow.
The Eidolon wonders why she is so much sadder than the others about the lose of the Barons. It might be her species. Gnomes are very emotional creatures. It might also be how little she had outside of Janus. Everything she ever had of him is lost. She lost her parents many years ago, and while he helped fill the void, Janus had been the one to pull Neji from her shell.
Destroyerman thinks. He knows that he does not exactly have a way with words. His best vocal tactic is usually to roar and hope he scares something. He knows that his speech is very basic and mechanical. Probably inspired by Neji's childhood ideas about Thassilonian golems. As such, Destroyerman takes a moment to think over his words.
The Eidolon remembers.
He approaches Neji, kneels so they are equal height, and places a hand on her small shoulder.
"I swear, as long as you live, breath, and hope, I will be there for you," he says slowly.
Neji looks up at him.
"...That's what Janus told me..." Neji mumbles between puffs. "When we were lost in Varisia... It was so sappy!"
Destroyerman nods, smiling very faintly.
"But he's..." Neji whimpers.
"They never found a body," Destroyerman reminds her.
Neji looks at him for a very long time.
Suddenly, Destroyerman finds a pair of tiny arms wrapped around his chest.
"...We'll find him," Neji whispers. "...And even if we don't, we won't let his memory and his dreams die. He wanted a world better than the one that took Ms. Skyla. One where children don't lose their parents so soon... If that's the case, even if he's really gone, let's make his dream real! Let's make Janus proud!"
~~Birth of a Kingdom~~
Destroyerman lashes out upon seeing a hole in the Stag Lord's guard. He quickly swings with all his might, but the Bandit Lord blocks the blow. Destroyerman roars in frustration, pressing his blade hard against that of the demonic Stag Lord.
Halcorg rushes in and smashes his hammer against the Stag Lord's Stag Head with all his might. Desna's starknife cuts him. And yet the monster still stands. The Bandit Lord laughs at their efforts.
Destroyerman presses harder against their blade lock.
"You're a Big Man, and you'll destroy all the bad guys! Destroyerman!"
For a splite second, Destroyerman's head cranes back to the empty spot where Neji stands. He cannot see her, but he can feel her mind. It is fearful. It is worried. She has never faced someone so... strong. Neither of them have.
Destroyerman looks back at the Stag Lord. He stares into the Bandit Lord's dark, souless eyes. He wonders. How people has this man orphaned?
"He wanted a world better than the one that took Ms. Skyla. One where children don't lose their parents so soon..."
Destroyerman puts more pressure on his falchion. The Stag Lord refuses to yield.
"If that's the case, even if he's really gone, let's make his dream real!"
Destroyerman thinks. Neji has felt so powerless in these last six months. Her career as a Courier, ruined. Her best friend, dead. His final will, never carried out. His staff and friends, trapped in a wartorn land, probably all dead. Anything Ms. Skyla left him, most likely destroyed All the effort searching for her, ultimately pointless. Neji's inability and failure to stop the humans from fighting... Neji just feels unable to do anything about it.
She feels powerless. However, he knows she isn't. Strength manifests in many ways. Neji might not be a mighty warrior like Halcorg or Seraph or Daliedhur or Xi'Tir, but she did create life from essentially nothing.
That takes some strength.
"Let's make Janus proud!"
Destroyerman looks at the Stag Lord and realizes something: Neji needs to be reminded of her true strength.
"Let's make Janus proud!"
Destroyerman withdraws from the bladelock with speed that would disgrace lighting. The Stag Lord stumbles forward, his guard totally broken by the unexpected move. Destroyerman remembers what he just saw.
He sees a few tiny footprints in the ground. Neji has made her way over to her future spouse. Destroyerman cannot see her, but he knows that she is checking to see if he lives. The way the male gnome's hand floats in the air tells him as much.
Neji is wondering if she just lost another chance at happiness. Her chance to move on from Janus.
Destroyerman realizes that the Stag Lord is the one who hurt and possibly killed Vodyanoy Leventon.
"Let's make Janus proud!"
Faster than he has ever moved before, the Eidolon raises his falchion and cuts the sky.
With all his might, he swings his sword downward.
Destroyerman roars.

He should be dead now.
But he doesn't fall.

Way to go! Nice post! I loved it!

Deducted the DR from damage already.
The Stag Lord was open, defenseless and part of Seraph wanted nothing more then for him to reach his sword so that she could put him down. But that night with Maria was still burning in her mind, her words how he harmed the innocent, defenseless little girls. How she wanted to feel safe...
Her eyes were filled with wrath as she brought her sword to bare, angling it so that she could run the bastard through...
It connected with a sickening squelch as the blade broke through his backside. She was face to face with the Bandit Lord. "That was for Maria. Bastard."

![]() |

The Stag Lord green eyes flash for a second... and then close for the last time.
Congratulations! You just beat up the Stag Lord Bandits!
Time to get up a level to Level 7 (No mythical level yet).
The remaining 3 bandits surrender, and the zombies return to the ground after some minutes.
I'll post the spoils of the fight tomorrow.
Well fought!

Xi'Tir |

Xi hops down and tsks as the other bandits surrender. She walks up to Seraph and slaps her hard on the back. "Glad ya could join us General. Ya prove ya self again!" She smirks as she looks to the lizards.

Seraph Whitemoor |

As his eyes shut for the last time she pulls her sword free and lets the Stag Lord slump to the ground. She retrieves his sword, lest he get up again, cleans off her own and sheathes it before speaking. "I say we..." She barely gets to speak before Xi'Tir interrupts her. The back slapping causing her to gasp in pain before she glares at Xi. "... Should burn his corpse. Lest he rise again..."
She leaves Xi looking at the Lizardfolk, not really concerned with them at the moment as she reaches Maria a look of concern on her face.

Neji Lazula |

Destroyerman takes a few seconds to make sure that the Stag Lord is truly dead and stabs the corpse clear through the heart.
Coup de Grace: 4d4 + 16 + 12 ⇒ (3, 3, 2, 4) + 16 + 12 = 40
Destroyerman studies the Bandit Lord's body briefly. The Eidolon quickly concludes that he might come back yet again, so he takes further action; he makes sure that the Stag Lord's Stag Head is cleanly separated from the body.
Coup de Grace: 4d4 + 16 + 12 ⇒ (4, 4, 2, 3) + 16 + 12 = 41
"Good work," the Eidolon says to the others before finally sheathing his blade. He turns toward his invisible Summoner and her fiance and asks, "What happened to the other gnome? Does he live? We were away, dealing with the archers. They fled. The zombies chased them off. This unit... I did not know about stepping on the ground."

Xi'Tir |

Xi suddenly remembers and glares at the gate. "One of dem is getting away... Dat bastda that insulted the queen..."
She looks to the others. "Should we find and kill him?" She looked rather hopeful at the thought of killing Dovan.

Ti'Itza |

Seeing as the battle is over I will resume posting. Characters are nearly complete.
Coming out of his stunned state Ti'Itza grunts at the scene before him. The Stag Lord was dead, the bandits defeated, his only regret was he didn't get to join in. Without another word he nods to Tepti and they move to recover their gear. It takes some time but it was better to recover their items lest they be taken for spoils by these mammals.

Seraph Whitemoor |

Seraph looked over Maria's wounds before picking her up and looking to Topper Red. "Are there any beds or places we can set the wounded?" She gives him a somewhat friendly look, the best she can manage after such a grueling fight.
As she waited for him to answer she looked to Destroyerman. "I don't know, but I think he still lives. Will you help me carry him to somewhere softer."
Not going to roll a diplo check as Tatiana has performed it for the day. ;)

Tepti |

Tepti returns Ti'Itza's nod but lingers when she sees the wounded mammal's looking for shelter for their companions. She slowly approaches Seraph and nods to the wounded female in her arms. "Need help?"
CSW - On Maria if accepted: 3d8 + 6 ⇒ (4, 8, 6) + 6 = 24

Xi'Tir |

Jerks, invite me sometime!
Xi tsks at Destroyerman. "Right big mon, ya take care of ya companion and git ta kill Dovan..." She smirks and begins moving towards the wall with her sword sheathed and her bow out checking for the undead.

Daliedhur |

Daliedhur's lips curl up in a grin as the Stag Lord falls under the combined attacks of his companions. She stands watch momentarily as the interaction proceeds with the Lizardfolk, but seeing the situation well in hand, proceeds in scouting out the rest of the fortification - she looks for supplies, weaponry, guard posts, living quarters, and in general tries to get a feeling for the organization of the place, and how they cn set about making it their own - "I am going to scout out the logistics of this place" - she informs Seraph and Xi'Tir before moving out.
Her first order of business is finding a place to accomodate LEaf and the other animals that have been taken along with them, and take it from there.
Well done everyone - coordination was not the best, but hey, living and learning ;)
Someone cast Detect Magic on the Stag Lord - I think I may want a second look at that bow of his :D

Halcorg |

Halcorg simply stands in the middle of all the women running about, keeping an eye out for any more bandits.
We need find others. That man . . . Do-van . . . we must stop. I hunt him. Who can join?
Halcorg would like to head out and chase down the other bandits, especially Dovan, if anyone is able to head out. If not, he will stay.
-----
Are we supposed to level immediately, even if we chase down the other bandits? With 3 rangers in the group, I figure we should be able to track almost anyone.

Tatiana Fortuna |

Tatiana gathers together the wounded and heals them with her remaining channels.
"The bandits said that the undead go back to the ground after some time, so we must be careful. I've got some time left on my flight, so i can shuttle people to the horses." Tatiana replies to Halcorg and those that want to pursue the bandits.
