Kul-Amon |
Kul-Amon raises his hands to the ceiling. "And so did the giver and taker, the wound and the balm gave his faithful servant another shield. Glory be!"
GM Doom 'n Gloom |
Taking a moment to listen, Kara pieces out that the goblins plan to attack whomever walk through the archway (there is no door). There is also talk of using more "boom 'n fire" jars.
Jikan Osoi |
"Great, more goblins." Jikan sounds slightly annoyed in his voice.
"I could make someone grow to giant size before they jump us, but in these tight... goblin sized corridors, I doubt it will help."
GM Doom 'n Gloom |
Just waiting to hear of a definitive plan. No other cover easily available.
Jikan Osoi |
"I have a Scroll of Obscuring Mist that we could use to veil our approach some. It will be blatantly obvious but at least they can't see us? Although there's talk of fire so many not the best idea either."
Other than that, I got nothin'.
Captain Kara Battaglia |
Well, they know we're coming anyway, might as well protect ourselves. So Jikan, you call the mists, Shaya and Klo go through the breach with the rest of us just behind. Good?
Shaya |
"Yeah, I got no bright ideas other than bear out of the mist like a bull," Shaya chuckles. "And hide behind Skinny's big shield some."
Sorry, I've been having a busy time! But I have no bright ideas here either, so, obscuring mist works for me
Jikan Osoi |
Jikan gets a little closer to the door before using his Scroll of Obscuring Mist.
Hopefully others will position closer to the door as well as this happens (In fact, Jikan will wait for it). And hopefully I'm at the right door.
Yargul Steland |
Yargul nods and prepares to move forward and set his shield for the remainder of the party after the initial rush.
GM Doom 'n Gloom |
As soon as the mist billows through the hall and doorway, a series of brilliant orange explosions bloom into the cloud. A few seconds later, another round of explosions. Shortly after giggles and maniacal laughter, more chemically induced eruptions fill the area. The Pathfinders feel the heat, but little else from the panicked and eventually undisciplined assault. In the silent lull, Kara picks out two or three voices in goblin arguing over fact that they don't have anymore to play with. A louder and more authoritative voice tell them he does not time to make any more for them and to be ready.
INITIATIVE
Jikan: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28
Kara: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
Klo: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Kul-Amon: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Shaya: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Yargul: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13
goblins: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Yarak: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Assuming you eventually walk in:
The ceiling of this room has partially collapsed, creating a two-story space to the west while exposing the chamber above to the east. Rubble lies haphazardly about the place, with some other larger pieces serving as tabletops for crude alchemical apparatuses. Soot, scorch marks, and other chemical residues cover many of the chamber's walls and other surfaces. A sizable slab of jagged debris leans against the broken edge of the upper level's floor in the room's center. The upper level seems clear of wreckage and contains several wooden worktables. Opposite the entrance, a set of stone steps that once rose to the upper level are broken away halfway up their length. The whole chamber smells of burnt oil and acrid chemicals.

GM Doom 'n Gloom |
I have been waiting for Kara as the goblins are next up. If nothing tomorrow, we can put her on delay (or bot her).
GM Doom 'n Gloom |
The Pathfinders hear what they believe to be wooden furniture being dragged and glass shattering from inside the room. Kara distinctly catches notes a goblin voice yelling to be careful with his lab-bomby-making-thingys.

Casting Bless
He then steps forward, eagerly awaiting his companions to join the fray.
Shaya |
Shaya strides forward to a nearer position, squinting into the fog-filled room I think it's still foggy? Due to our obscuring mist? If so, she'll draw her club as part of her move, then use her standard action to stow her glaive.
"Yargul, you got the big shield. Want to run in there blind?" she grins.
GM Doom 'n Gloom |
I envisioned the Obscuring Mist was placed in such a way as to cover the entrance, but not obscure the room itself. I will let you guys place the spell where ever you would like.
Jikan Osoi |
Jikan had to place it where he was, so he probably would have gone right up to the entrance and cast it. I placed it appropriately for that. I didn't place it before because I wasn't sure what entrance before so I didn't place it. :)
Move Action.
While the party decides how to approach, Jikan takes out his Wand of Magic Missile
Standard Action
"Pst, maybe I can encourage them to enter the mist..."
He decides it might be fun to fool the goblins a bit. He casts Ghost Sound while in the mist to mimic goblins screaming from beyond the mist in the hallway.
Using the SLA so there's no spellcasting component. DC is Will 14.
Klo: touch of destiny (touch to give +1 sorcerer level on attack rolls, skill checks, ability checks, and saving throws for 1 round)

As the illusionary screams drag on, the team begins to hear some nervous rustling from within the chamber. It finally becomes too much for a couple of the goblins.
Three of the goblins come racing around the corner and smack right into Kul-Amon's brest-plate. Their eyes fill with terror...
Kul-Amon and Shaya have an AoO on RED. @ Jikan, you may choose to take an AoO vs either RED or GREEN (if you have a weapon out).

Klo storms past his allies and closes in on the goblin. However, the frightened creature wants nothing to do with the huge druid, so he ducks out of the way so the warrior-fisherman can pass. Luck stays with the goblin as his involuntary flinch also helps him avoid certain death at the hands of the Nethyian cleric. As Klo comes to a stop, he hears a familiar sound. Once again the twang and his of an arrow fill his ears, but it is quickly followed by the sound of wood splintering off the wall next to him.
