The Nameless GM |
Assuming you've been walking and trading horse riding, you've been on the road for approximately 4 days. The arena is another few hours ahead, but we can assume there are places to camp.
Edric returns with a couple of rabbits in hand, a good haul for the forest. Enough meat on them for a nice stew. No need to use your trail rations today. Give me a survival roll if you want to skin them. I know you know you want to.

Natashia |

Natasha helps set up camp and tend to Tuck and Aratoamin. She gives them each a good rub down along with feed and water. Afterwards, Natashia pitches her tent so she can change out of her armor and into a simple cotton tunic and breeches.
She puts her sword belt and sheath back on just in case she would need it.

Talmira Dimlun |

When not on watch Talmira will remove her armor and be in her travelers outfit a simple red tunic and black leather pants with boots. anyone got any fun stories to share while we wait on those two? She asks softly as she continues to wittle away at the stick not making anything just something to do.

Marco the MachineSmith |

Marco stretches out as he kinda zoned out for most of that whole thing.
oh im sorry...I think I zoned out for a bit there...what did Imiss...anyone die yet? no? good. Juan may I borrow your trumpet...I wish to work on my harmonic device more. he let out a rather bored sigh, he didn't have anything to tinker with and wanted something to tinker with, for all he knew, Juan's trumpet was the only thing to play with.

Talmira Dimlun |

Well it twas several months ago. My inquisition had gotten word of a vampire menace that had been terrorizing a small Drow town. They dispatched me due to my experience with the damned creatures. It was a pain to get to the village due to the fact that I could not travel in the day. The sun was bright and hurt my eyes and made it hard to do much of anything. After some days I reached the town and did some questioning. I found out where the beast was hiding and went to the lair. Finding him was easy, fighting him not so much. It was a long and hard fight to kill the beast. He tried to bite me and kill me several times. After delivering a near Fatal blow I took a stake plunging it into its chest. I then cut off the head and left the creature to decay. As she finishes she jabs the now pointed stick into the ground.

Maa-Djour slowly stumbles back to camp after a rough trip into the forest, feeling a little down that he was unable to locate a stream or river in which to bathe in, even though he does not smell of sweat he does have the smell of travel on him which he was hoping to wash off.
No fresh water sources nearby, we are unable to wash again tonight he says, the disappointment clearly evident in his voice.
For watch I would suggest Juan for first watch, Marco second, Talmira third, myself fourth, Natashia fifth and Elric last. This is because of the quality of your vision, humans need full light to see clearly, elves and myself only need low light and a dhampir can see in the dark he says trying to be useful whilst also keeping his mind off of the fact that he still has not had a chance to bathe.
Maa-Djour then walks over and fills a small silver bowl with water, places it on the ground and places three incense on the ground in behind it. He then removes his holy symbol of Hanspur from around his neck and submerges it in the bowl before he begins to whisper a chant in prayer to Hanspur.

Edric Axehand |

Just before he heads to bed, Edric says to the blue man Oh you were looking for water? Well you should have said something! There is a little stream about 10 meters that way He points to the opposite side of the camp from which maa-jour arrived. I passed it while hunting. You just looking the completely wrong way! He says with a smile, and disappears under the lean-to he made for the night
Survival (to make the lean-to): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Percep: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22

Talmira Dimlun |

perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 16
I have to agree with the order since around thrid watch it should be the darkest of night and I can see perfectly clear in pitch black.
On her watch Talmira will sit in the center of camp listening for the littlest sound of an intruder on the camp. She will also watch the edges for any sign of an intruder.

Maa-Djour unrolls his bedroll a little away from the fire, trying to avoid the heat as he is not too fond of it. he does not use a blanket as he is quite fine with the nightly chill that lingers in the air.
When Talmira wakes him for his watch it is hard to see as it is still late and as such Maa-Djour takes a torch with him and spend his watch patrolling the outskirts of the camp.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
After his watch Maa-Djour quietly walks over to Natashia's tent to raise her for her watch, trying not to awaken the others he enters her tent to awaken her for her watch.

The Nameless GM |
The giant claws and mandibles of a black scorpion emerge from the brush.
Edric and Talmir see that this scorpion is moving very slowly in comparison to a normal creature of the night. And they also see that its gaze is not on a meal, but something else.
Another perception will tell you unless you wanna kill it or something.

Talmira Dimlun |

Wait a second commrads. Talmira will say softly. It might not be looking to kill. let me get a closer look before we attack.
After looking close from her spot Talmira sees that it is a full grown cave scorpion that normally would kill a man. It is looking at the fire poor thing is probably cold and just wants to be warm. let us leave it and whoever is on watch let us know if it does any actions that actually threaten us. It is actually...kinda cute.
perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (14) + 12 = 26
edited as GM Told me what it was looking at

The Nameless GM |
The scorpion slowly walks over to the fire and nestles itself between the fire and Edric, taking almost no notice of anyone around the fire. It lets out a little chittering sound as it starts to warm up.
Because I want to and I know he will, Edric needs to give me a Will save to keep from just plain hugging the creature instead of petting it.

The Nameless GM |
The rest of the night passes without incident. On Edric's shift, he sees that the scorpion is still by the fire, keeping warm.
When the sun rises over the horizon and through the forest canopy, the column of smoke is still rising. You still have time to get there.
Within a few hours walk the forest starts to thin and the desert takes over. The dunes seem ominous as you keep walking.
Everyone give me a fort save. DC is fairly low.
In just a few more hours, the sun will start setting, but fortunately, you've reached your destination: the Arena.
Inset into the sands of the desert is a sandstone Colosseum, the open top billowing the smoke tower. There are tents and stalls set up as merchants and tourists alike gather. The column is a sign of a new tournament, and sure enough, there is a stand that excepts applicants.
Perception checks after you arrive.

The Nameless GM |
As the sun sets, the cool of the night fills your camp. Maa-Djour and Natashia find themselves much more tired from the journey than everyone else. (DC was a 13) Still, time to set up camp. You find yourselves a good spot and settle down.
There seems to be a pile of rocks beside the fire that wasn't there before. Closer inspection shows it's the scorpion from before.
Now that you're at the Arena, what shall you do?

Talmira Dimlun |

Well now that we are here, I suppose the two of you will go talk with the arena master to see if you can get the keys. She then looks over at the scorpion. huh, looks like the little guy followed us. She will kneel down to inspect it before gently placing her hand on it back stroking it softly before offering it some jerky.

Edric Axehand |

Final Kill= Custom Death Animation!
Edric shoves everything he has into his sword, breaking his focus down to single minded rage. His sword swings so fast that what is seen is not the swing, but the after-image. The sword cleaves the half-orc in two, shearing from his left hip up through his right shoulder, exploding outward in a spray of blood.
Loot list for the fight?
