How does it...? Does it always...? Why...? She does not even know how to phrase her questions in her excitement.

When you fill your waterskins with the clean pristine water from the pool in matter of only a few seconds after leaving the pool your waterskins have an odor to them. it is definitely stagnant water inside the skins.

the water has lost its healing properties once in the waterskin.

Knowledge Arcana DC 20:

you remember hearing something like this. the water can only be contained in a certiain type of container that is keyed to the pool. judging by the pool's construction it appears the water can only be contained in stone containers

Knowledge (Arcana): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18

Devana doesn't quite understand how something like this can be - it's not an illusion after all - and is slightly annoyed by it, but doesn't let it show. Instead she empties her waterskin without comment back into the pool.
