as I step forward to attack the spider an arrow wizes past me and strikes deep into the spiders belly. " good show arturia, now watch this"
[dice=To hit(power attack)] 1d20+5
[dice= damage] 2d6+9
as I swing directley at the spiders belly I slash a deep cut all the way across the abdomin saying. "HA. HA."
hey sry I forgot that in my astral sute ive got improved dammage so add 3 points to that so it should be a 21 (if I added everything right)

GM Bloodred |

I draw my bow and knock an arrow. Aiming for the spider's belly I let loose the arrow.
[dice=To Hit]1d20+5
[dice=Crit Confirm]1d20+5
[dice=Damage]1d6+2
As Arturias arrow flies through the air straight and true it slices open the giant spiders belly.
After a second two seemingly huge maggots drop to the floor in a spray of fluids and guts.
Eddiy rushes forward to attack them. He swings with his massive arms and you hear a hiss coming from his shoulders as the pneumatics give him extra power. He completely slices a maggot in two.
How do you like that for some combat? anyone after this post hitting the spider will be hitting a dead body just fwi

HakakTheDoctor |

As no one has been attacked by the maggots yet I cheer for my team, as I wait to see what the maggots do before taking action (delay until after an enemy deals damage)."That's the way to do it!" I shout excitedly.

Eddiy |

I use the momentum from killing the first maggot and attack the second
attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
crit fail: 1d20 ⇒ 19
as I swing at the second one my targeting systems were uncalibrated so I miss and give everyone a good breeze

HakakTheDoctor |

Realizing that I would not have been able to protect my friends very well had they gotten hurt, I take this opportunity to focus my mental energies for future need. (i become psionically focused).
"Wow, that was amazing! I'm glad no one got hurt though." I exclaim. "Where to next?"

Enduring Truth |

coming down off of the High of protecting my friends and serving the needs of the group. Slowly i sheath my sword calming my emotions, as my temper fades.
I think we need to take charge and stock of our situation, currently we have one person who can barely walk, one person who cant see, and the rest of us.

Eddiy |

as I futz with my targeting systems in my head I say aloud
" I agree with demon of truth, verily I am good to be the front of the party with my targeting systems and pneumatic arms"
after still futzing with the mechanics in my head I use ,percussive maintenance, and hit the side of my head after a loud clang they recalibrate
"huzzah! much better as I was saying I would like to be in the lead I can climb really well in my astral skin and I can see in the dark very well. now I say to thee how fairith our carouse."

Enduring Truth |

Im not quite sure by what common you are speaking sir, but i am not a demon of truth i am Enduring Truth the name given to me by my grandmaster. And i would say that the lead should fall to you unless we can walk abreast.
T'would seem that Hakak is going to help the blind one
Trusting that Hakak is not evil, Truth mutters "Allow me to see the light"
Cast Detect Evil
Truth sees the party in a new light, as if each was burning from within with a bright white light.
muttering to himself "i figured as much, Blind me now"

Arturia Pendragon |

"Now that the threat is gone, I believe we should try to get a better take on our surroundings. I see no way back the way we fell and both a Southeastern and Northeastern path lay before us.Should we travel as one, or would splitting up better serve our purpose of escaping this cave?"
Starts to wander around the current cave, exploring using the light from Anevia
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

GM Bloodred |

You find 4 Scales that seem to glint oddly in the light.
These palm-sized silver dragon scales are unique items—essentially minor artifacts resulting from Terendelev’s death on the Storm King’s blade.
Each of Terendelev’s scales grants a different power to the person who carries them. The powers granted do not function at all if more than one scale is carried. The powers of the four scales are listed below—any nonevil creature that handles a scale immediately understands its use.
Cloudwalking: Three times per day as a standard action,
a scale can be used to cast levitate. A pillar of roiling clouds
rises below the levitating object or creature, growing and
shrinking with the target’s altitude. This pillar is 5 feet in
diameter (regardless of the target’s size) and provides
concealment (20% miss chance) to any creature or object
wholly contained within.
Disguise: Three times per day as a standard action, a scale
can be used to cast alter self. While disguised, the target gains
a +4 bonus on all Bluff checks made against evil creatures.
Resistance: Three times per day as a standard action, a scale
can be used to cast resist elements—but only against electricity
or cold.
Sacred Weaponry: Three times per day as a standard action,
a scale can be used to cast align weapon, but only to make a
weapon lawful or good. Unlike a normal align weapon spell,
this effect can be cast on an unarmed strike or natural weapon.
DESTRUCTION
The Storm King Khorramzadeh can destroy each of Terendelev’s
scales merely by eating it.

HakakTheDoctor |

perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
The perception check is to notice the scales if Arturia does not notify everyone that they were found
Very excitedly I say to Arturia; "Oh wow, those are pretty! Is that from the dragon that fell? Can I touch one?"

Enduring Truth |

"Arturia hasnt seemed to pick them up, but i will pick one up if no one else minds?"
*Flash of Insight*
"hmm this will come in handy"
"Well im off to the cave on the right hand side, i hope someone follows me"
with that i head down the right hand cave path, possibly alone.

Eddiy |

trodding after enduring truth I say "good sir what are we looking for"
as I catch him I lower my voice to where only truth can hear me.
" and am I the only one who is freaked out by what happend at the fair and that huge dragon we are going to haft to do some thing about the storm king at some point. and what are we to do with the extra baggage on this quest they are not to be relied on, the blind one looks like he was pretty good once, but not so much now. im just worried we wont be able to protect the ones in our charge."

Arturia Pendragon |

Walk over to grab a scale of Cloud-walking, and then proceed to the left path
"Since we're connected mentally and I can contact Hakak through the collective I will take the different path and see if it leads to a way out of here."

HakakTheDoctor |

[ooc]unfortunately my collective does not work quite that way at level 1. i cannot send messages except through missive, which are one way and free now that i am psionically focused so we may be able to do it that way if you also have missive. if not it won't work until level 3 when i am able to enable telepathy throughout the entire collective.

GM Bloodred |

He does and he was talking about missive.
This smaller cavern appears to have once served as a campsite
or temporary lair. A torn bedroll lies next to the cold remains of
a fire. A pile of bones, broken equipment, and rubble lies just
past the campsite.
So Scales
Truth= Align Weapon
Eddiy= Resistance
Arturia= Cloud-Walking
Hakak = Disguise

Arturia Pendragon |

Arturia:This smaller cavern appears to have once served as a campsite or temporary lair. A torn bedroll lies next to the cold remains of a fire. A pile of bones, broken equipment, and rubble lies just past the campsite.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17
Before checking out the camp I look around to see if anyone is there, then I proceed to head towards the camp to search it for items that may have been left behind.

GM Bloodred |

You dont notice anything until, as you get closer, two cockroaches pop out of some of the debris. 1 is close to you, and the other must move. During the surprise round,
Red attacks you, Attack against flat footed: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Green moves to you.
Roll initiative and give me your action, they are not flanking.

Arturia Pendragon |

Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
I will drop my bow whilst drawing my longsword for an attack with both hands on the roach adjacent to me.
To Hit Red: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
I am willing to surge to hit so tell me if I don't connect

GM Bloodred |

Red is at 7 damage and is limping.
Red to attack 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Next Round
Next Attack from Green 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
Next Attack from Red if still alive 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
3rd Round
Attack from Green 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18dmg: 1d4 ⇒ 3
4th Round
Attack from Green 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5dmg: 1d4 ⇒ 3

Arturia Pendragon |

Round 2
Swift Action to use Coordinated Strike on Green
To Hit Red: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Surge To Hit: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Round 3
To Hit Green: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Round 4 (if needed)
To Hit Green: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Surge To Hit#1: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Surge To Hit#2: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Surge To Hit#3: 1d6 ⇒ 6

HakakTheDoctor |

I turn to eddiy and reply, "i was not suggesting that i be the one to climb up there and would really rather not in fact as i fear i would make a very poor job of it. as it happens a rope would be very useful if we had anything to give weight to it. Unfortunately for me i am rather ill prepared for an adventure such as we've come across as i didn't expect so much excitement today and all i have with me is my hide shirt and my healing supplies which i always carry just in case of emergencies.

Eddiy |

yes I agree I suppose ill give it a whirl.
I use my numatic arms to quickley grab the rocks and pull myself up,
I have a 16 to climb in my astral skin so ill take 10 wich gives me a 26 to climb if I caculated right.
I get up to the back pack and climb down just as quickley and say " huzzah! I supprise even myself" as I hand the back pack to hakak.
what pray tell do you gents want to do with it?

GM Bloodred |

torn bedroll, three candle stubs (each can burn for 30 minutes),
a bent fishhook, 10 feet of badly frayed hemp rope, and a
copper brooch depicting a bat perched on a mushroom—
both of the bat’s eyes are tiny amethysts.

Arturia Pendragon |

ahh good show arturia how did you fair??
"It was a fairly boring path. I found an old campsite which had nothing to offer except this odd brooch, glad you all found something useful though."
