Hey everyone. I am so sorry. Work and a crashed hard drive (in a MAC!) have conspired against my PbP'ing. The hard drive will be repaired soon, but my time may or may not be. I believe that I need to step away from the boards for a bit longer.
This pains me, as I have loved this game and you the players. I'll try to come back once the load lightens, but I completely understand if you all have moved on by then.
You've been wonderful, patient and creative. Thanks for adventuring with me.
You've been a good GM so far too, and I'll certainly still be around when you have the time to start this back up again. We seem to be keeping ourselves occupied here in the discussion just fine, too.

On a slightly less serious note, has our sister campaign lasted long enough to be on hold too? If any of them drop out, might we be able to accept the remainder into our fold, make them drink the kool-aid, etc?

Three Hobbit movies---I'm looking forward to the Silmarillion Septology after that.
I think that is stretching it a bit, even with the Necromancer stuff.
I'm really looking forward to when the Farmer Giles of Hamm series surpasses Godzilla in terms of number of movies.

One of the things I really liked about the hobbit as a book was that it isn't as thick and long winded as the lord of the rings book.

"Kicking the bucket"? Without giving any spoilers to our own adventure, can you tell some more about the fate of our sister group?
Your sister group is actually The Kaer Magan Stories. Kickin It in Kaer Maga is more like your parent group. GM Idyll started us up and then decided to run more groups through the game, hence your thread and the other. (We started at the beginning of May, and you guys at the end.) Only I think the group from Kaer Magan Stories transitioned out of Kaer Maga and into a game of Council of Thieves.
In the parent game, we stumbled into the BBEG's lair by sheer dumb luck and defeated him/her/it/them, leaving the majority of the dungeon unexplored. We collected our reward and got back to the surface city and our everyday lives before the GM had to step back. (And no, we didn't have any deaths, although we did have one player disappear on us.) So technically we completed the module.
