I think it would be wise to stick with modules.
as APs are a long hull commitment, taking over 3 years to complete PBP wise.
Given our current pace I would say it would take about five to six years to complete an AP.
and odds are high that players will be dropping and getting recruited a few times a year.

I wouldn't mind an AP, but Tina is right that we do post slow. I suggest we see if we can get through the module and then determine if we want to do an AP and can keep posting. I'm also in Baldwin's COuncil of Thieve's AP and we are chugging along, if we can do 2+ posts a day I say we have a shot at it.

I'm up for trying it if you guys are. Unfortunately work often limits my daytime posting, but I'm okay with durnolf and ruckus being autopiloted in combat as well. Its pretty simple to hit things with hammers, and I'll try to limit the more tricksy stuff after last time.

I think botting is fine. I'm in two other games; another Idyll game which is in recovery mode, and a fast game. Speeding up might be difficult for me...but then again, it might not...and other players might have problems going faster, like Durnolf...so...it doesn't matter to me either way, I suppose. :)

I do want to finish this module first. But after that, I'm up for trying an AP. This is a lot of fun and I'd love to continue playing with you. Either in some homebrew Kaer Maga campaign, or Modules, or an AP. (By the way, which AP are you thinking of, Idyll?)
Tina is right, though: we are slow. It'd be great if we could speed things up a bit.
I'm okay being remote controlled. But waiting one day before switching to auto pilot seems to be quite long already.
I'd even be OK with something like this: during combat the DM does one or two turns per day and autopilots everyone by default. Players can post for their current turn, and give general directions how they want to be autopiloted the next couple of turns (like "continue to attack with my sling; going to cure if required").
I do get the feeling that you are trying to send us signals - that this mechanical snake is going to kill us, wipe the floor with us and eat us - with things you say, like "Do you *really* want to kill that thing?", "What do you want to play next?" etc.
Blink twice for yes.

No longer immune, like they were in 3.5ed

Do we want to try and sneak past these creatures? If so, I can potentially silent image and distract them with a wall or similar device. If not, I can use the same trick to probably get their attention and place them in a more advantageous spot for us (like the south east corner where the martials can charge & I can shoot).
Gunder Undertable |
Gunder has a sudden vision from the void, of a place beyond the stars:
The place is inhabited by owl-people. They look just like regular big people, but they appear to be clerics of an owl-god. They sit in front of magical windows, writing messages to their deity, waiting. Waiting for the owl to respond. The most distressing thing is that Gunder has a feeling that his own fate is linked to the writings of the owl-people. As if they reported his life and actions - for the owl to judge them. As if his own life was on hold until the owl god descends and decides over his fate.
But the owl remains silent. Its clerics are still waiting anxiously.
We love you, Idyll! But now come back and tell us what happens next! Or else we are going to have to DM ourselves again.

"Now miss, don't be vulgar, its unbecoming of a lady of high birth. You should put those beautiful, shapely, supple...sorry, where was I? Right, save those for the lucky...very lucky..little lord you'll be married to. You don't want to end up like this little harlot I knew once, spreading her legs for anything with a pulse. And maybe a few things without. And what did that get her in the end? A pox, and the crown of Cheliax. So maybe that's a bad example. But my point, Milady, is that a lady can always keep her dignity, should she choose to. And that queen Abrogail is a whore"
Tina -thats what flurry and a shocking amulet of mighty fists are for.

Nope. Read the last page though :P Seems pretty cool. Good environment for a lot of roleplaying, eh?
Alright then, folks. I'm heading off to Canadaland for the weekend and will be quite unreachable. Unless one of you wants to pay for international roaming, in which case by all means, wire me the money.
