Ha!! I told him to go and he went! Did you see that!!! By all that is blessed, I have found my secret power!! Call me Fernleaf Wavescreamer from now on. Did you see how he ran away from me!! I think the menacing finger patterns made me look extra fierce. And I pitched my voice just...so. I expect that all water elementals will soon hear of my fierceness and trouble us no further. If we get to our destination with no more encounters with water elementals, we'll know I am correct and that my renown has spread throughout the vast seas. I bet I am the first Halfling to ever talk down a water elemental. Perhaps uncle Ulrich might know...
If possible, I want to climb onto the top of the cabin (the top deck??) and stand, hands on hips; feet askance, feeling the wind through my hair, the bracing feel of mist on my face... Titanic?
Fernleaf did a total of zero damage the entire combat, of course. And I really do need to get better weapons.

A grappled creature is restrained by a creature, trap, or effect. Grappled creatures cannot move and take a –4 penalty to Dexterity. A grappled creature takes a –2 penalty on all attack rolls and combat maneuver checks, except those made to grapple or escape a grapple. In addition, grappled creatures can take no action that requires two hands to perform. A grappled character who attempts to cast a spell or use a spell-like ability must make a concentration check (DC 10 + grappler's CMB + spell level), or lose the spell. Grappled creatures cannot make attacks of opportunity.
A grappled creature cannot use Stealth to hide from the creature grappling it, even if a special ability, such as hide in plain sight, would normally allow it to do so. If a grappled creature becomes invisible, through a spell or other ability, it gains a +2 circumstance bonus on its CMD to avoid being grappled, but receives no other benefit.
Casting Spells while Grappled/Grappling: The only spells which can be cast while grappling or pinned are those without somatic components and whose material components (if any) you have in hand. Even so, you must make a concentration check (DC 10 + the grappler's CMB + the level of the spell you're casting) or lose the spell.

The rest of the journey goes smoothly with only the occasional cargo and military ship passing in the distance.
You reach the northern most point and the captain gathers everyone on deck. "Now comes the hard part, as if giant snakes and elementals were not bad enough...The next 24 hours we will sail to Fort Landing. Everyone stay inside the cabin. This deck is no place for the inexperienced sailors. Prepare yourself for rough seas and I hope you turn none too green along the way. Thar will be some heavin' I'm sure...he he ... Ewem will go and make sure everything is tied down so chests, armor and swords are not flying about the cabin."
After a hour of work the captain confirms all is secure and you feel the ship turn into larger waves which quickly grow in two hours you realize that you are holding onto the hammocks are trying to keep your heads from getting bashed in by the ceiling planks. This continues for the next 20 hours.
Fortitude saves everyone!!
