Starting to think our ships were built by the lowest bidder......
We will figure things out.
I seem to remember reading in one of the Saga Edition books that all the variety of TIE Fighters were built cheaply in order to create many more of them. The theory being in the overwhelming numbers.
Just sucks for the TIE pilots (like us) :)

So i had this idea about using a vibroaxe for melee, but the idea is that the axe head is large, and the handle which contains the power-packs sticks out a little, but telescopes out when drawn to full length, So it looks like a big headed hatchet on my belt.
DM would have to ok such a thing. That's what tech specialists do right?

would appear that we will need to go find a rebel air strip, drop in, and steal some of their x-wings.
be pretty easy to accomplish. Find a rebel base on a fringe planet, air lift on the opposite side using the planet to shield our approach. Have a wave of TIE fighters fly over and attack the base, allowing ourselves to be shot down. We crash about 30 klicks away from the base. Infiltrate our way through the surrounding terrain, hop the fence, set some charges in the armory, and when it blows we hop into some x-wings and fly out of there.
How do you think the rebels are able to steal the shuttle crafts?

Tsk Tsk Tsk, no faith in good ol' Imperial tech? Come now, the TIE Defender is the pinnacle of space superiority fighter. It's expense is justified when being used by "Proven" pilots. =)
Of course, give those same TIE Defenders to our squadron techs, and we'll make them even better! :)

Man, now I REALLY wish there was a more navigable reference document. Just found my new favorite variant rule: gear templates. Prototype gear can have TWO tech specialist mods, but treats a natural roll of 1-4 as an auto-miss and disable on weapons. I'd be savin' that baby for noncombat gear to squeeze an entire kit into one little box, heh.
Or just bring extras in case of a bad roll. lol.

16 now ;) I re-looked at the ability score guidelines and realized I did my math wrong.

Thinking of doing something experimental for the space maps. As Saga Edition tends to use terms like "X spaces" or "Adjacent", I think I'll use a hex map to do space, to give us A.) more room and B.) better scale. "Facing" isn't an issue, so I think this will work well. What do you lot think?

Oh snap. +2 to +3, gotta be a least a cup size, yeah?
Might have to bust out the tech specialist feat just to re-size your uniforms at this rate.
Whoops, just saw what I did there...
Better yet, bump up a cup size (or two!) without resizing her uniforms. ;)

Ehhh, maybe. Saga is definitely designed with maps and minis in mind, but I'm pretty sure it's intended to be a grid, as shown in all the diagrams in the Core Rulebook. Changing to hex might have weird effects on abilities (and would also mean that blaster bolts arbitrarily zig-zag through the air, what's up with that?)

What is "everything you need" from us? What are people lacking?
I need everyone to launch the game itself (so I can assign you to a token), and either change your display name to your character name, or let me know what your user name is, so that I can do it for you.
