Once again I find myself with a little more time on my hands and can’t resist the urge to start another PBP. This is going to be an old-fashioned dungeon crawl, so I will run Monte Cook’s Dragon’s Delve from Dungeonaday.com. I’m mostly about hack’n’slash, myself, I’m afraid, but there is usually plenty of room for character interaction for those who are interested.
There will be six spots open, and as usual those who have gamed with me and liked it take precedence. I will reserve two spots for old familiar faces. Four (or more if nobody claims the two) will go to the first characters presented. If you happen to have a character from an earlier campaign of mine that you’d like to revive you get to keep your xp and stuff.
I use 20 point buy, core rules and APG only. No traits, sorry. The campaign will run on medium progression. The campaign world is the Wilderlands (points of light) but I use Golarion deities.
I expect you to post once a day on weekdays and to let me know if you are going to be away. More frequent posting is welcome but not mandatory. If you haven’t posted for 24 hours and we’re in a battle, you will be considered delaying until you post.
To say something for myself, I’m fairly tenacious and easy-going and try to keep a reasonably fast-paced game. I have had the honor of playing with some really great people here (you know who you are), but also noticed that some equally great people can’t stand my GMing, so feel free to check out some of my old game threads to see if this might appeal to you before signing up.
Welcome and happy gaming!

Yes, 1st level, and I should add that I like heroic characters so evil characters are frowned upon (unless you are both evil and heroic). There are some odd subtypes of human in the Wilderlands, but they are mostly flavor, so we'll get back to that.
The game starts whenever we have at least four players or so. No rush.

I'd like to try out a Cleric of Milani (Liberation and Protection <Defense SubDomain>), or preferably a Cleric of a Philosophy. Not for power, I just really perfer to make my own faith and basically a religion to any of the existing ones that are not realy what I am looking for.
Question, are you to run it here, or do we need access to DungeonADay?

I'll throw my hat into the ring on this. A nice LG Human meat-shield, err fighter. Since this is primarily hack-and-slash, I haven't put together too great of a back story.
Background: Marius was once a blacksmith in the army. After a few orders that didn't sit well with him, Marius decide to resign and move on with his life. He has heard of a little dungeon with great riches. Riches enough to get his smithy up and running. Perhaps he may even do some good along the way. The Fates will tell.

Not posting to throw my hat in the ring, but just so I can dot the thread since I'd like to follow it. I'm running a Dragon's Delve PbP of my own and I'd like to see how yours develops along side of it.
I can probably answer Beckett in that it isn't likely to be run on dungeonaday.com that has the constantly growing campaign, but it has limited forums which are made to be used by members. Generally the Dm would be the only one who needs a membership.

I count six interested, and since I'm a firm believer of striking when it's hot, you are all welcome to post your characters in this thread in the discussion forum. I hope to have the game running by Friday or so.
You might need some kind of trapfinder in the future, but other than that party balance looks adequate. We'll work out the details and houserules in the discussion thread.
In case someone that has gamed with me before sees this and is interested, please post and I'll probably find you a spot. Other than that recruitment is closed for now.

If you have any openings, I would be interested in a PBP game. I have been a DM for years, but I have not played PBP and I would like to join a session. I am interested in playing Solaruffikus Poshmont, a gnome sorcerer that comes from a wealthy merchant family that went bankrupt. Sol has left his family heritage of running the family merchant house to explore his celestial bloodline and pursue the arcane arts. However he still lives in conflict because he loves to haggle and cannot help but try to make a profit in all of his interactions. I have all of the stats prepared for Sol, but I am not sure how to attach them.

Ok, here we go (Beckett). I added the religion and some suggestions for it at the bottom, so let me know what you think.
I really like the Raven Knight angle. You're not going to be very far away from where i placed Ravenloft in my campaign world, so it makes perfect sense. Let's stick with longsword as a favored weapon. The domains seem fair enough.
Feel free to make a splash in the discussion thread. When the characters take shape we can work out your connections (if there are any).
Black Tom
We lost our cleric (and only healer) to RL issues, so we are going to need a dedicated healer. A cleric or oracle would be best, but a druid will do. The game just started, so you will fit in nicely.
I'll take the first character presented, but anyone who applied above or who has played with me before takes precedence. You will find the game thread above.
Black Tom
Here is a elven cleric of Calistria
I have to finish her equipment but you get the idea
Can't see anything actually, but I'm sure you will be fine. You can either roll for starting gold or take the average. If you have any hero points from Juliare that you haven't ported to Mahaffy, you can claim them too.
Lucendar
Hey BT, it's Lucendar (I'm in your AoW game). Anyway, if you're still looking, I'd be happy to join your game. Character concept: Female elven paladin of Iomedae. She, an elven commoner, is secretly in love with an elven warrior noble and adventures to gain fame and skill so she can return home and challenge him in open combat one day, defeat him, thus proving she is worthy of marriage to him.
Let me know if this works for you. I can change it to a fighter if the alignment will cause in-game problems.
Black Tom
You're more than welcome Lucendar. I think you'll find what you need to know above. Technically you're in the same campaign world, although at an entirely different location. Character concept looks just fine.
Just dot the discussion thread when you are done and I'll introduce you. Heck, since the party are currently home in Brindenford resting and recuperating, you can just jump in and introduce yourself if you like. Whichever you prefer works with me.

Charismatic Female Elf Paladin of Iomedae ?
My charismatic Female Elf Cleric of Calistria will welcome her with open arms
I also have a little bit of forest to sell to you if you believe this. It's called Treerazer's REfuge ....Ah well, the RolePlay should be interesting
Yeah, I probably should have warned you... ;) I'm sure you girls will get along like a forest on fire.
McFetus
I'm interested. This would be my first PbP so be gentle. :)
Am I right in thinking that the party consists of:
Selina: Elven Paladin
Kwin: Halfling Wizard
Kaduk: Half-Orc Rogue
Yurggen: Dwarven Alchemist
Valynie: Elven Cleric (Did she survive?)
Happy to play anything: what do the players feel the party needs?
Where would I be joining the group? Brindenford?
McFetus
On behalf of the church, he's travelled to Brindenford to recruit/join up with a party to enter Dragon's Delve to recover an item/artifact believed to have been lost there. It's also an initiation test.
Mechanically, it brings a combination of combat, spells and general utility to the group.
Black Tom
Welcome aboard McFetus. Your character concept looks fine to me. As soon as you can create a character we can introduce you. Let me get back to you about your hook.
Just read the threads about what has gone before and don't be afraid to ask questions (preferably in the discussion forum) and we'll be fine.
