Ayaal's blade bites into terracotta scales, ripping one of the serpents open. It is hollow, and surprisingly fragile. Pieces of the snake fall to the rolling coils that make up the floor and quickly start getting churned under.

Cahal's blow shattered the serpent in front of him at the base, causing the rest of it to lock up and immediately lose animation. It fell from the ceiling where it had come from and crashed to the churning ground.

A conjured oil slick formed at Farooq's will, impeding the snakes movement.

Hasani, since you failed your save, you are still Confused. Please give me a Confusion roll to determine if you are able to attack the target you want to, or to determine who your friends are.

Hasani is correct about the Reposition. He isn't currently able to differentiate friend from foe (he'd need an "act's normally" roll result for that), so Ayaal's CMB check was a bit too short.

Farooq, the Grease is only partially effective against the snakes. It does slow them, but they can't exactly "fall prone", on account of being snakes.

Male Human Oracle of Life 1 (hp 11/11; AC 19, t 13, ff 16; Fort +2, Ref +3. Will +3; Init +3; Perception +1)

Confusion states that, "Any confused creature who is attacked automatically attacks its attackers on its next turn, as long as it is still confused when its turn comes." So I don't believe I should need to roll.

Loot Tracker Current Map

Hasani- Good catch. Never mind. However, as you noted, rolling may determine if you can tell friend from foe. Even if you are currently attacking the snake that last bit you, you may still regard Ayaal as an anemy unless you get a "normal action" result, so you may want to make the roll anyway, just so you have that chance.

GM Rolls:

Object Save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15
Object Save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14

The churning ground had upended poor Hasani as they gave a sudden, but worse, the coils closed down on the lanterns that had been set on the ground. With the sound of twisting metal they shattered, spraying droplets of lamp oil around that were quickly smeared by the rolling coils.

Mahatsi, Ayaal, Hasani:

Please make a DC 12 Reflex save or take 1 point of Fire damage
If you take Fire damage, please make an additional DC15 Reflex save to avoid Catching Fire

The dark red areas on the map are now quite on fire and would be dangerous to stand in. The orange areas are where the oil splashed, and, except for the initial splash, are not dangerous to stand in unless you happen to be prone.

Zayid picks up Hasani, tosses him over his shoulder, and heads back up the hallway toward Farooq. Moving 20' since I figure he encumbers me.

"Farooq, can you help Hasani? Do you have some of that salve left still?"

Let me know if you require any rolls, DM.

No, that's fine.

I think the healing room back there would work on its own since Hasani is not effected by acid or anything.

Like the new DM avatar DH! It is new right, I've not just been failing perception checks for ages?

Ooh, I didn't think about that, but you actually said something about it in-character, so that's a good idea. Let's see if we can make it back there before you bleed out (you should probably stabilize btw).

Good point.

Despite his grievous injuries Hasani, does not appear to be in immediate danger, perhaps Ash truly watches over his faithful afterall.

Con Check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19

Beautifully done.

"I don't have much, but let's see if it helps.

Farooq digs out the ointment and applies the remainder to Hasani's wounds. Regain 3 hp

"Watch their attacks still! We may be out of the room, but they can snap quite far I've seen!"

Cahal grins as he sees everyone moving back. He keeps his axe up and ready, inching forward to cover his companions.

Rage round 3; 5-foot forward, ready attack.
Raging, PA and FF: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 5 + 2 = 261d12 + 9 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 9 + 3 = 17
