New thread for upcoming game.


I think I want to do the Sorcerer and build it put the way I want it without the restrictions of the Archtype.

Let's discuss over the weekend when we discuss your Vamp upgrades.


sounds good. You can be a Black Legion Sorcerer easily. If you wanted to be from way back in the Horus Heresy days you just take Ancient Warrior talent and your golden :)

Would you recommend I get to a 5 in Psyker rating and build around that? Would cost 2250 to do so though...


Psy Rating 5 is pretty good starting out and opens a lot of options for powers.

i will probably play an Alpha Legion CSM.

but we got time to talk about it :) DM said at least 2 month


yeah will be about 2 months or so.

So far we will have a CSM Sorcerer (former sons of horus ancient warrior), CSM Veteran of the Long War (Dark Angel Fallen), Alpha Legion (unsure background yet). The other 2 will probably be a World Eater Berserker and a tech-priest of some sort not sure if it will be the warpsmith or the Polox human one.


I put a text copy of the character sheet up on the campaign info page so you can easily edit and then past that into your profile once set.


Possession from Book of Decay is an option if anyone wishes to try that as well. There are Pros and Cons for possession of course :)


So i'm thinking i may start the campaign only 500 years after Horus fell and Abbaddon becomes Warmaster. The legions are scattered and waring amongst each other since the fall of Horus and things are uncertain for those who fell.

Would fit in really well with your character as the Black Legion doesn't exist until around that time.


Since I'm going to be starting the game off only 450 years after the Horus Heresy everyone will be required to take Ancient Warrior if your archetype doesn't already have it.

I believe all the advanced archetypes have it in there by default or as an option. The base archetypes will need to buy it.


Everyone should start looking at character creation and getting the ball rolling as we will probably start in about another month or so. DH is wrapping up soon.

Change Common Lore Screaming Vortex to Common Lore Eye of Terror.

S: (8) 40 (10)[60] - What is the (10) [60]? 40 +20 from power armor unsure what the (10) is.

On the assault bike I'm going to say no on that for now. Don't want any vehicles in play at this time other than possible space vessels you may be with at start of game. And the bike won't have any action for a long time.

Everything else seems ok to me.


The (10) is total damage bonus in melee. Want to remember what gets doubled when I use the power fist.


ok :) I would of put it at the end instead of the [60] for me that makes it easier but whatever works :)

small house rule after going through char creation with curt yesterday. For the subsystems open on your power armor all the Legion Power Armor subsystems are good. The 5 normal ones are the ones you pick the 3 from. If you pick the armor special that gives you 2 extra that means all subsystems are active.
