If you made the DC 15 Perception:

“If it’s rigged, why do you keep going back to the gatehouse then?”

“Captain Callidan … he left, what? Two years ago?”

“Almost three and since then the place has been straight down the s$*@ter. That old wizard never leaves his tower. He stays up there reading his books and petting his owl!”

“Petting his owl? Is that what they call it these days?”

When he heards the bodies thump to the floor Orodreth opened his eyes and looked into the room. The guards had been taken out in less than a second but a small amount of mind screwing sorcery. He walked upto the guards and nudged one. He made a mental note to never get on the wrong side of Lyrysa. "Glad you are here," he says to her truthfully, trying to hide how he felt at that moment. Fear? No. Respect? Maybe a bit of both.

"You'll get a chance soon. We need these ones to tell us how to get out of here. Any others we fight you can join in." he adresses Grumblejack, "Could you help us scare them? When we interrogate them, if they don't cooperate I'll tell them you can have them. So just look big and scary so they tell us everything. Please don't amash everything just yet."

"Let's drag them back into the cell and chain them up before they wake up," he pauses and asks Lyrysa, "how long will they be out?"

When the guards are stripped of their weapons, armour and uniforms then chained in the very cell they had stood guard over, Orodreth pulls off another patch from the veil. A sack that just happened to have common clothes for each of them in their size. He dumps it on the ground after taking a set for himself. He strips off the disgusting rags he had been forced to wear and got changed into something more comfortable (using the rags to gag the guards in case they yelled out when they woke up), then put one of the guards uniforms on over the top, longsword at his side and chainshirt protecting him. Almost like he had his old job back. His smile left as quickly as it formed.

Randu is startled as both go down rather easily. I know so little of magic, but clearly it has... uses. He politely turns his back when the she elf changes, his upbringing still strong, but keeps his eyes on THEIR prisoners.

"Yes, explain to us which of you is more useful to us breathing than the other. I know how to skin rabbits, mind you, the rabbits are usually DEAD when I skin them, but... there's always a first time," Randu shoots them satisfied look.

Randu chuckles at the various suggestions, but to Orodreth, he adds, "If we're going to kill them all, I'm going to want proper gear. Hence the armory needs. This one lives though," he looks at the prisoner who has been cooperative, so far,"... if he continues to cooperate. A deal is a deal, after all."

I'm unsure what you ended up doing in regards to Grumblejack and the other prisoner, Orodreth are you making a stand here or letting it slide?

The first guard looks at his companion with disbelieve painted on his face. "You... you sold me out?" still unable to comprehended his fate. The other one turns away from the accusation trying to ignore his friend and looks perplexed at the battery of questions addressed to him.

"Well, well," he stammers and continues fast looking in the direction of the ogre. He quickly does the math in his head. "We're nine no wait ten plus the sergeant and the warden." He nods as he makes the statement and continues: "Gerard is patroling down stares and 3 more are sleeping in the barracks next to the great hall. I think Blackerly and 3 more are playing cards in the gate house. The armoury and storeroom is also down stares, but Blackerly has the key." He pauses trying to remember if he has forgotten anything.

He recalls the other questions and continues: "The way out is simple across the courtyard, through the gate house, across the bridge and through the gatehouse. That's were you use the password. But I don't think they'll let you out if they recognize you. Realizing he has forgotten something, he jumps back to the courtyard: "If you cross the courtyard the guards on the wall might see you there are two and a couple of dogs in the kennel besides the gatehouse. The warden is in the big tower behind this building, I've never been inside.

Outside in the other room Grumblejack looks at Lyrysa as she speaks, he seems to agree more with her than he did with Orodreth. [b]"Good words, Grumblejack will wait a little," he mumbles.

Kind of. Orodreth will try to stop it by taking the ogre downstairs now. It's not like he wouldn't kill a guard, but letting the ogre rip one apart is a bit too much for him. It was his idea to use the ogre to scare them after all though. He will leave the room and overlook anything though to get out of here.

"Likely the barracks will house the armoury. Only 1 down stairs and ten in total? This is the feared Branderscar? We only have to worry about running into Blackerly and the Warden I think." He walks towards the door intending on testing his disguise now downstairs and turns around at the door and says, "Let them live, they earned their lives by aiding us. They may even be useful as hostages if things go bad. Let's not waste lives."

"Grumblejack. Come, I have a job for you." He walks into the other room forming a plan to neutralise the guard downstairs without sounding alarms. He tells Lyrysa and Grumblejack of his plan to disarm the guards signaling horn and send him to take his spot momentarily with the excuse of needing a bathroom break giving them the chance to surprise the guard at the top or on the stairs. "You can kill him Grumblejack but if he surrenders, chaining him up with the others is what I suggest. What do you think?" he asks Lyrysa.

"My recommendation? One has been promised his life for his aid. I say we remove his tongue and lock him in a cage until we have escaped, lest he call for help. Though I'm sure he would call out during the removal so a gag would have to suffice. As far as the other? The potential of using him as a hostage has merit, though Drogan has nearly ensured he believes he will not live this night, despite no promises of his death having been made. A clever telling, actually."

Lyrysa takes a moment after her small tirade to think of holes in Orodreth's plan. "It may be well to find out form our talkative friend where they relieve themselves. The smallest detail can cause suspicion. If you should run into trouble, call out 'Lucky Bastard'. If there is gambling occurring this evening, hopefully the soldiers will merely think it's a lucky fellow who made the call and not call themselves to alert. But it will be enough for aid to come. Orodreth nods and walks downstairs. If there was only one more guard awake in this building they would have plenty of time to prepare. [/i]First the armory.[/i]

When he finds the other guard he asks, "Hey, can you hold my post for a few minutes. I need to make a pit stop and Blackerly wanted two of us up there at all times. I'll owe you a beer later." Orodreth smiles when he mentions beer.

I think disguise check has to be made secretly? Not that it matters here since it would be obvious if it fails right? Anyway...

Randu seems to approve of the dark priest keeping his word to the one that has been agreeable now, though he makes no comment about the slaying of the other.

He readies an arrow, and hangs back. If the ruse fails, battle will be coming and all at once.

Tykk waits around the corner, listening to Orodreth speak to the guard and awaiting any sign of the plan failing so that he can quickly silence the guard.

Tykk and Randu are you staying on your floor in room 18 or 17 or are you following Orodreth down the stares. The stares doesn't lead into the great hall, there is a door down there separating the two rooms?

After adjusting his tabard yet another time Orodreth makes his way down the stares. The room is a rectangular stone room with not much else besides the stares. Thankfully the door to what must be the great hall is closed so nobody heard them. Gathering himself he walks over to the door an opens it. He hurries through like a man needing to take a piss. As he enters, a guard standing with his back against the wall to his right midway down the hall looks up. He glances at Orodreth and doesn't seem alarmed, but as Orodreth speaks, he takes a closer look. "Wait a minute, you're not one of us... You're one of the prisoners"

All right what are you going to do?

Initiative, if needed:
Tykk 19
Orodreth 15
Rnadu 5
Guard 5

My rolls:

Orodreth's disguise: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23
Guard's perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Guard's sense motive: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Orodreth's initiative: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
Guards's initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Randu's initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Tykk's initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19

I had followed him down the stairs, but had waited on the other side of the open door.

Tykk, upon hearing the guard recognize that Orodreth was a prisoner rushes out, sword in hand, to put down the guard.

If my movement will take me to the guard with a move action, I will attack. If it does not, I'll make a double move to him.

Power Attack: 1d20 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (19) + 4 - 1 = 22

Damage: 1d8 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 3 + 2 = 6

Pretty much Randu's plan too, maybe a bit further back than Tykk as I'm armed with a bow.

Damit so close!

Realising the guard had seen through his ruse Orodreth curses silently in his mind. He charges at the guard, attempting to grapple him and stop him from alerting anyone.
Grapple: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19

If grapple works:

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
"Be quiet and I will let you live, anything else and we will kill you with the rest of them.

if it doesn't:

Orodreth draws his longsword.

Also Tykk, with a longsword you just made a crit. So roll to hopefully confirm :)

After finishing the guard off, Drogan will create water to wash away the blood, he will create water again offering some to the guard.

Come now friend you must drink. I assume they were to come back for us in three days time so if you drink you will survive until then. However if we found you have lied to us the deal will be void and I hate to think what will happen to you. Let your zelous people know that Asmodeous keeps his deals. Drogan pats the guard on the cheek as he finishes and then gags him. He stands and looks to Lyrysa.

My dear enchantress, I hope you do not think ill of me for my actions. Did you find worth in that man? Wait were has everone gone off too? Did they follow Orodreth?
