Is that a thing you guys want? I'm very much in favor of taking this to a full-party boarding party on the Hierophant.

If I see that kind of opening, I'm going for it.

Space combat has felt limiting in the past, and it doesn't scale with our levels like our moves do. A boarding party also gives us the chance to search for the person rather than trying to get a fleet to surrender.

I see 2BR (and Muffet) storming from one end solo, providing a distraction.
Sona going in through matrix to manage locked doors and routing (staying with Jamee, Hephaestus, and Thorne on the ship in case things go south)
Then Retzack, Dexter, Yaelin, and BoT going in for a Metal Gear style rescue mission.

Assuming STR roll for launch?: 2d6 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (2, 6) + 3 + 1 = 12

2BR is going to follow the flight plan, while interfacing with Sona's gift. The little robot is going to scuttle as far under 2BR's chassis as possible, with the instruction to:

> Not interfere unless I am 100% definitely going to die.

Asides from that, shields up and it should be a clean cruise to the far end of the ship.

Panicking slightly, 2BR stops screaming on all radio waves and pings Sona.

Retzack toes the line, sending Simmons to cover the spot at comms, and Big Shooter takes his place next to him.

As Dexter starts barking off suggested actions, Retzack makes accepting motions with his hands.

He realizes that some people still care about plans, so he no longer tries to interfere. Not everyone can follow a plan of "Charge in heedless of the weapons of mortals and make them fear you as an alpha predator" so he'll not gainsay whatever adorable battle-plan they want to come up with.

Where is 2BR headed? Go ahead and roll the defy danger to launch him +1. Sona can certainly aid that. Jamee, you are able to bring the Sixes close enough to the Hierophant to latch on. What part of the ship do you latch to? Think of this like a Mon Calamari cruiser.

During the maneuver, Sona runs some data on the ship model.
Spout Lore: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (3, 1) + 3 = 7
She's able to locate something close, but it looks like the heirophant is a custom model. She has to build her plan around the obvious features of the outside of the ship rather than landing as close to the brig as possible. Sona has Jamee pull the sixes up the heat signature coming off the Heirophant's engines and plant her behind the sensor dish on the starboard wing. During the ingress, Sona pegs a waste vent coming out next to the engine exhaust bay, and guides 2BR that way.

> Pops, focus on the engines. We don't need a core meltdown, but we'll have problems if they try to hit warp with us attached.
> Petit-fils, set down behind that dish.
> Their main computer should be nearby to reduce latency, and from there we can locate and unlock the brig.
> They don't walk the full hull to do maintenance on that dish, there will be a door nearby.
> This 0ne will get you in and interface the CPU.
> Let's leave the setting off of alarms to pops. He is much better at it.
> Above all, let's all try to survive this. They're not paying us that well.

Thorne simply pulls the exo-helm over her armor and rotates the locking mechanism. Her fatigues are space-ready.

Sona helps Dexter into an exo-suit with the dispassionate hands of a machine. Any tags other than Life-support? Any space for his usual armor?

Hephaestus turns a switch on his board and an atmo-field snaps into place around him. Sona spends a few minutes trying to convince him to stay on board, but he threatens to follow alone, and she backs down.

Yaelin pulls a large, red, leather bag from her locker, then proceeds to suit up in her Galactic Union Medic suit, which is Hazmat rated for things more hostile than space.

Muffet.ms settles into the small of BunkR BustR's back and starts playing JezzBall.

"Check!" the elf-boy shouts into the comms as he banks hard to the left, dodging some laser fire from the Hierophant. Scanning the ship for a landing zone wide enough for the Sixes, he sets down behind the sensor dish on the starboard wing. Loud clang sounds can be heard throughout the smaller vessel as the boarding clamps lock on forcefully.

Somewhere nearby:

Sir, an unidentified ship has pursued us from the station and has latched onto the starboard wing. They've launched a boarding mech into the engine compartment. Whoever it is, sir, the pilot is phenomenal.

The human suddenly grunts with pain.

I did not ask for your opinion. Dispatch the praetors to intercept the boarding mech. Send the hoplites to capture the ship. Have the fleet redouble fire on the station and break off in ten minutes. The speaker mumbles something in elven beneath his breath and a farsight stone built into the command char flickers to life.

2BR, you crash through the armored hull like tissue paper, and break through multiple interior rooms, as crewmen are sucked out into the void behind you. Quickly, the ship's emergency systems seal the gaping holes behind you. You find yourself in what appears to be an auxiliary control room. Although the consoles behind you are hopelessly damaged, there are numerous functional consoles throughout the 30ft square room.

An emergency alarm begins blaring.

What do you do?

-----------------------------------

Jamee, you expertly land the ship on the starboard wing and the Sixes shakes slightly with the impact. The hullcutter spins up and seal is complete within a minute. As the hatch spins open, the party is met with complete darkness inside.

What do you do?

Can anyone see in the dark?

But it was cute in the adorable way that mortals make their plans, trying to stave off the inevitable.
'The best laid plans of mice and men

You pass several intersections, and as you approach another intersection, you can see a sign reading "Starboard (I think you landed starboard) Auxiliary Fire Control ---->"

Over 24 hours without an answer about a question about scenery. That means I get to hijack my own question. =)

The Starboard Auxiliary Fire Control station shows all the signs of a backup unit sparsely manned in a warship during battle. With power diverted to a vast array of destruction-oriented systems, like weapons, shields, and tiny little exploding robots, the normally bright light that usually illuminates the workplace has been replaced by ultra-efficient code-red lighting. While it meets minimum standards for sitting hunched over targeting computers and monitoring self-powered firing solutions, it casts an intricate network of shadows over an area that obviously lost every battle for space and comfort during the architectural process.

Retzack dances a merry jig, tiptoeing through, across, and under the complex jungle of shadows, until at last he leers, wholly unnoticed, behind the shoulder of the crewman currently speaking.

His eyes glow with murderous intent, and his head hovers almost humorously close to the redshirt's ear. The scant lighting twinkles on small droplets of saliva gathering at the corners of his gaping and fang-studded mouth.
