Regarding our characters.
Are we forced to strictly adhere to a pregenerated character build? Like if we don't really care for some of the feat selections, or if say we had wanted to multi-class if we level up at all, would we be denied from playing in this campaign?
I mean if we were to follow the 20 point system buy and stick to only core classes, feats, and spells, could we do that at all?

Okay, so if I happened to have had a character who began at the very beginning and leveled them up all the way to level 7 by playing through Core ruled, Pathfinder Society recognized game play and then had that character join at the beginning of a campaign, it would be okay with that character.
Got the core ruled bit for this game. I personally think there's plenty of style to go around with just the core rules, so I don't have a problem with that. Also, thanks for allowing personal flavor to come in.
Sorry to keep asking questions but for this game, assuming the PC's do survive and level up, are there even higher level pregenerated versions we'll be using.

Okay got it.
@GM Helkion, I just realized that the character profile I was using was not showing as an Organized Play character, despite having a faction icon next to his name.
I have created a near identical profile that is listed in the Organized Play section of my aliases and am now using it.

The pregens are there, to allow players to join in, if they haven't a PC at the correct level.
Scenarios come in 'tiers', being the level bands the scenario is written for.
The tiers are fairly broad, such as Tier 1-5, 3-7, 7-11, which may seem odd, but within each tier, each scenario is split into two sub-tiers, so a Tier 1-5 can be played at levels 1-2, or levels 4-5.
Each uses the same story, and basic goals, but the encounter difficulty is increased for the higher subtier.
Ideally, everyone comes to the table with a PC, who's begun at level 1, and worked their way up, but that's not always feasible, especially for drop-in games at stores and conventions.
The pregens are there. to give players a way to join in, but you don't actually progress with the pregens. They're fixed, in every way, with versions for level 1, 4, and 7.
If you've played a game using a pregen, you can either:
1) Save the chronicle sheet (the summary of play, and completing the mission), and wait till you have an eligible PC of the correct subtier, and apply it to that PC as if you'd played using them.
All the same gold, unlocked items, boons, etc.
Or, 2) convert the chronicle sheet into a generic chronicle sheet, gain the experience point, reduce the gold, forget the other benefits, and apply it to a level 1 (new or existing) PC.
Option 1 is better, but you have to wait for the payoff.
Option 2 pays off immediately, and is often used to help a new PC survive that 1st level hump.
Does that make sense?

While some of us have played PFS before, we may not have a PC at the right level; I only play at cons, but I have one PC over level, and two under.
The other reason for using a pregen, is that this game is advertised as Core.
If you haven't come across that term before, it's a relatively recent development. Some players were wary of playing, and a lot more GMs unwilling to run, because of the hardcore players, using every book available to make uber-PCs, and hogging the spotlight.
That, and the people wanting to replay some scenarios, led to the Core campaign, in which you play the same scenarios as the Standard campaign, but PCs only use basic options, plus whatever things you specifically unlock during play.
A PC can drift from Core to Standard campaign, if they take non-core options, but can't drift the other way, it's a one-time thing.
So, even if I had a level 7 PC, ready to roll, they wouldn't be eligible for this game, unless they'd been built as Core, and avoided all non-Core choices for the next 6 levels.

How does Barm get all that info to appear in his top line?
I've filled in the background, but only get class and level.
You have to put all info in "Race", "Classes/Levels" and "Gender" fields.

GM, I didn't realize Kyra doesn't carry a shield...could we retcon and say I picked up a heavy wooden shield in Eto on the way? That would bring my total purchase up to 157gp (150gp for the scroll of remove paralysis and 7gp for the shield)

@Bramble and Barn.
Sorry to be a stickler about the posting here, but could the strictly out of character talk be posted in the discussion thread to keep from clogging the gameplay thread?
Posting short responses out of character in addition to your character actions is fine, but if it becomes a full blown discussion it might be better served here.

Veteran scenery-chewing British Shakespearean actor and mountaineer, most famous for playing Prince Vultan of the Hawkmen, in 'Flash Gordon'.
A lifetime of having to 'project' to the back of the theatre has left him unable to speak at less than a shout, even when 'whispering'.
'GOOORRRRdon's aLIIIIVE!" was to my generation, what 'This is SPAAAAARTAAAA!" is, for kids of today.

Have to say, Im a bit confused with where we are in the initiative at the moment.
Me too. It is a bit chaotic written.

I live a mile up the road from where they filmed 'Happy Valley', another BBC crime drama. Very dark and gritty. The lead policewoman character nearly got beaten to death in the street behind me, while I was at work and missed it all.
