The last troglodyte backs off and hisses in Draconic

"Get him before he spits more rocks!"

Gurukk doesn't speak Draconic.

Xane just scratches her thatch of black hair,

"Gee...did you really think so..?" She asks, sounding a little puzzled.

Several hatchings run around the general area avioding you.....

Xane easily catches an even dozen leaving eight still running about.

Xane goes about carrying the cute lik' buggers to the stream, setting them aside in a sack and then carefully begins to try and wash at least some of the smell off them. (^_~)

Respen gives a nervous look at Xane as she washes the creatures, as he moves closer to the edge of the water incase they slip through. "Hmmm you got the right Idea Xane, maybe if we bring them back to the town they will be able to train them to protect there village from any raiders."

"And we'll call you squiffy..." She whispers to herself as she dries one of the last squirming Trog-lings...then glances at Respen,

"Huh? Did you say something..?" She looks at her half-ling friend quizzically. She sits back, crosses her legs and pulls the sack of wriggling Troglings into it for a bit of a cuddle. "Gee...I haven't even thought that far ahead....I mean...their parents are all smooshed." She blinks, wide eyed at Respen, "Who'll look after them..?" She glances about.

"We've got to find a safe way back to Soot and the others. I don't think these lot will like going back through that tunnel." She indicates the stream that they all swam/crawled through.

Also, will we go looking for some one to fill Thedrin's place?

"Mining is a fine trade fer these guys, yeah an making roads."

Erky grabs up one....
"I will call you chompers....."

"Gurukk could teach them the ways of the Fire God, though none of you would like the initiation rites"

"Any way lets start looking for a way back to Soot and the others. Then we can take these little ones out to safety."

The way in might work as a way out, but for the flow of water...

Erky builds a pen using the wood that perviously held the corpses the trogs were eating.

The pen seems like it will hold the youngsters.

Trying to go back the way you came or looking further in for another way out?

Further in, they can tag along or run away, Gurukk cares not

Just a post to make sure I get to see new pots showing up.

Glowing coals in a crude hearth illuminate this large cave. The ceiling here rises about 15 feet above the floor, and a collection of rubbish, and skins marks this place as the abode of a particularly important creature. A lizard the size of a small horse rises and slithers toward you.

Beyond the lizard, a hulking scaly-skinned creature easily a foot taller than any of the others you’ve seen roars in rage an snatches up a spear and shield, clashing them together in challenge.

Draconic

Respen holds up his hand to Gurukk before he decides to swing at it, then with the creature the just a second gesture as he turns to his group and asks "Does anybody understand him?"

If only you had a cleric of Apsu. ;)

Xane shrugs, "Um...nope..." She gently puts down her sack and steps between it and the large lizard slinking toward them.

"Hello?" She calls hopefully...

Gurukk starts to get excited for a fight, but when Respen stops him he gets an almost pouty look on his face

"He's asking why we're here."

"Oh..." Xane nods at Erky's comment even as she frowns, "Um..why are we here?" She asks, though still making sure her sack is safe.

"Something about things here being trouble for the nice people back in town, yes?"

"Gurukk is here to kill orcs and burn things....including orcs"

Xane nods in agreement with Gurukk "And that as well. " (^_^)

"That's true ain't nobody in town complained bout no rock eattin Troglodytes, want me tah tell him were her cause the people in town hate orcs."

Xane frowns."I don't hate Orcs. It's just that every time I've tried to be nice to them, they've hit me." She shrugs and brushes a stray amount of hair from her face..."Y'know, so I hit 'em back." She explains simply, then smiles at the big lizard guy.

"So, Erky, ask him his name." (^_^)

Then she frowns a little, "Unless they area 'she'. In which case, ask her what her name is!" (^_^)

"Sometimes I find lizards a little confusing, y'know?"

The chamber is strewn with the ostentatious trappings of power - skulls, bones, weapons of defeated foes, the hides and heads of rival troglodytes....

The cheiftain points to himself and states.
"Kaarghaz!" forcefully!
