Genisen Larkova |

Genisen steps over for a better shot, then works his way shooting at the bandits, first at the one in C3, then D3.
Longbow with Rapid Shot Attack #1 (C3): 1d20 + 7 - 2 ⇒ (11) + 7 - 2 = 16
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Longbow with Rapid Shot Attack #2 (D3): 1d20 + 7 - 2 ⇒ (15) + 7 - 2 = 20
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

Nazard |

Folks, don't forget Laya is giving +1 to attack and damage to all our you!
Both bandits sprout arrows in their sides.
Laya casts a spell and a burst of light appears in front of bandit 3's face.
Will save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
He's dazzled, and starts blinking frantically to clear the after image of the flare.
Vellica is up!

Nazard |

Timbur stabilize: 1d20 + 1 - 10 ⇒ (4) + 1 - 10 = -5
Sir Rollynd bends down slightly and touches Timbur at his feet.
LoH: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 4) = 9
Timbur is still unconscious, but no longer near death. Sir Rollynd then steps down to G5.
Round 4
Initiative Order: Garim, Ofelio, Arrow Firers, Genisen, Laya, Vellica, Timbur, Sir Rollynd

Garim Radsey |

Not liking being the focus of attacks from both sides Garim steps to the side and brings his weapon crashing into the bandit between him and Ofelio.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 4 + 1 + 2 = 18
Damage: 1d8 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 2 + 1 = 5

Nazard |

Bandit 1 steps sideways and swings at Garim: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23; damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Bandit 2 steps sideways and also swings at Garim: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 5 + 2 = 24; damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Together the two bandits combine to nearly run Garim through. He's almost certain he felt the two sword tips touch somewhere near his liver.
Bandit 3 stabs at the halfling: 1d20 + 5 - 1 ⇒ (12) + 5 - 1 = 16 His sword clanks off the warrior's fullplate.
Genisen.

Genisen Larkova |

Genisen splits his arrows up between the two bandits again, connecting with one, but missing on the second.
Longbow with Rapid Shot Attack #1: 1d20 + 7 - 2 ⇒ (17) + 7 - 2 = 22
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Longbow with Rapid Shot Attack #2: 1d20 + 7 - 2 ⇒ (3) + 7 - 2 = 8
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

Sir Rollynd |

Sorry about that Vellica. Corrected.
Bandit 3 Will save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Sir Rollynd straightens and lunges at Bandit 3, but he slips on the grease and the blade deflects off the man's armour.
Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
Round 5
Initiative Order: Garim, Ofelio, Arrow Firers, Genisen, Laya, Vellica, Timbur, Sir Rollynd
Bandit 2: 8/18, dazzled
Bandit 3: 18/18, dazzled, dazed

Garim Radsey |

Garim lets out a hiss of breath from between clenched teeth, and staggers on his feet. The pain, perhaps, giving him a focus he lacked before, his morning star crunches into the bandits ribcage dropping him to the floor.
Attack Bandit 2: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 4 + 1 = 23
Damage: 1d8 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 2 + 1 = 11
Fearing for his life he stumbles towards Genisen and into the storage room.

Nazard |

Just remembered Genisen is away this week-end, so posting for him...
Genisen lines up the bandit in front of the door and lets the arrows fly.
Arrow 1: 1d20 + 7 + 1 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (20) + 7 + 1 + 1 - 2 = 27
Confirm: 1d20 + 7 + 1 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (9) + 7 + 1 + 1 - 2 = 16
Damage: 3d8 + 3 + 3 + 3 ⇒ (2, 3, 5) + 3 + 3 + 3 = 19
The arrow hits the bandit in the mouth, rips right through his head, and flies off into the grasslands beyond. The man pauses for a moment, then drops. Genisen steps forward and lets his second arrow fly at the last bandit.
Arrow 2: 1d20 + 7 + 1 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (10) + 7 + 1 + 1 - 2 = 17
Damage: 1d8 + 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 + 1 + 1 = 9
Bandit 3: 9/9 hp left
Seeing only one bandit left, Laya holds off on any more of her magical advice, and delays.
Vellica is up.

Sir Rollynd |

Ha! I went to roll it for you, got anatural 1, and decided to let you do it yourself!
Sir Rollynd lunges again.
Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
Confirm: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
Damage: 2d8 + 6 ⇒ (2, 8) + 6 = 16
Sir Rollynd runs the man clean through. Wiping his sword on the bandit's coat, he turns back to Timbur.
"This man's dress is similar to theirs, but he fought with you. Does he get the healing hand, or the sword?"
Combat over...for now

Garim Radsey |

Garim, feeling shaky, turns his healing magic upon himself.
CLW: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
"Timbur? He's on our side, sort of. He had been part of their crew the first time we ran into them, but he surrendered himself and whole heartedly aided us afterwards. I don't think he deserves the sword, but I don't really trust him either. He's been living out here with them for who knows how long engaging in banditry."

Sir Rollynd |

Rollynd, seeing what Garim is about to do, stops him. "Hold, friend. Save your healing. I brought you something the cheapskates at the Church should have given you in the first place."
He pulls out a wand and hands it to Garim, telling him the command word.
"It's fully charged."
Wand of cure light wounds. You can take your spell back if you like, Garim, and mark off a charge from the wand.
With Timbur reprieved, Rollynd bends down and lays hands on again and again.
4d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 3, 2) = 16

Vellica Swordservant |

Vellica wanders over. "Sorry about running off on you there, young Sir Rollynd. I needed to get closer to use my magic and the crawling wasn't going to do it."
She looks at the the others, smiles and bows deeply from the waist. "Greetings, I am Vellica Swordservant. I've come here with Rollynd to aid you in finding the Cloak."

Sir Rollynd |

"Miss Vellica is a trusted attache to the Seventh Church. Her family has served Iomedae's cause for generations, in one guise or another. Were these ruffians living in the Citadel? I thought it was impregnable."
He glances about at all the debris. "What did you folks do to this place!?"

Garim Radsey |

Ah, this will be much better than that other... wand of healing... we've got. "Thank you Sir Rollynd. We've met with a number of injuries already."
Using it instead of a spell, then using it second time on myself. Changed my spell above to d8 + 1 for the wand.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Anyone else in need to significant healing?
"Oh, no. They weren't inside, though their leader ran inside just a few moments ago. As to what happened, well we just tried to open the door was all, but it was, er, stuck."
"Good to meet you Miss Vellica." Seeing Vellica with neither arms nor armor, and not understanding the difficulties that such pose to a sorcerer Garim offers, "If you are in need of any supplies we found a entire storeroom filled with armor and weapons." waving offhandedly towards the northern room.
Propose we give the following items to Vellica from current group loot.
a wand of magic missile (CL 1, 18 charges remaining worth 270 gp)
Scroll of comprehend languages, identify, expeditious retreat, animate rope, shield, silent image
Adding the wand of CLW to my own loot - though my standard action requirement for retrieving it might be a problem if we are in a pinch if Ofelio wants to take it instead?

Ofelio |

Embarrassed at his lack of ability in the fight his fellow paladin had just witnessed, Ofelio shifts on his left foot nervously.
"Thank you for reviving Timbur. As Garim has already told you, there were circumstances that caused this destruction."
He regards something in space and places a twitching hand under his chin.
"Will you be alright out here alone?"
Goddess, I hope he doesn't think I'm just saying that because he's small... Deception is everywhere out here.

Sir Rollynd |

"I've fought demons in the Worldwound. I do not fear common bandits. If something worse comes this way, well, I'll yell for help if I need it and you can rush to my rescue."
"Of course, if you should encounter something you can't handle, don't hesitate to do the same."
Somehow, he managed that entire bit without a trace of sarcasm or dry wit in his voice.

Vellica Swordservant |

"I am a sorceress, Sir." Vellica says to Garim. "I require no weapons or armor except for myself. Right now my most useful abilities will no doubt be daze, grease, and vanish. They allow me to temporarily stun a humanoid, create a patch of slippery grease, and to go invisible for a short time, respectively. I hope I can be of assistance with them."

Sir Rollynd |

Just waiting for Vellica to chime in, though I suspect she'll vote for down.
As you prepare to head off, Sir Rollynd whispers Ofelio over.

Nazard |

You slowly descend into the darkness, relying on your light sources to help you see.
At the bottom of the spiral staircase, there is an iron door. A thick wooden bar with long spikes in either end lies carelessly tossed to one side. Large holes on either side of the door frame show from where the bar had been ripped down. The door stands slightly ajar--no light nor sound escapes from the room beyond, but a sickly sweet smell of rot and decay does.

Vellica Swordservant |

"Wait here. Don't move, and be quiet, I'll be right back," Vellica whispers to the others. She raises her hands and mutters a brief spell, then vanishes from sight. Slipping through the crack in the door, she takes a quick look around before her spell ends.
Going in while invisible, moving at full speed (60' a round) and exploring as much as I can, while still being able to get back to the others in two rounds.
Stealth (invisible, moving fast): 1d20 + 6 + 20 - 5 ⇒ (15) + 6 + 20 - 5 = 36

Nazard |

Vellica slips inside.
Left 0/Right 1: 1d2 ⇒ 2
Turning to her right, she rounds the corner and sees a scarred half-orc holding a huge axe. He's standing completely still, looking at something around the corner that Vellica can't quite see.
Does she wish to get closer?

Nazard |

Vellica Swordservant |

So two ghouls eating Scarblade's arm, and he's just standing there watching them? I assume he's paralyzed then. Interesting. I'll use my second round of invisibility to return to the others and tell them the situation.
Stealth: 1d20 + 6 + 20 - 5 ⇒ (16) + 6 + 20 - 5 = 37
I'll just describe it, since Vellica doesn't have knowledge religion to recognize the undead in character.
