Frank excited to know more about his items leaves that to Jellena. He spends the week trying to find out more about the dark souls of this land.
"No problem Joe. See if you to are worthy." Frank places the hammer on the ground at Joe's feet.
At the end of the week when Jellena explains what she hss found. Frank picks her up and twirls her around. When he places her down he kisses her.
"Thank you my sweet. Looks like I need to learn to wrestle and find me a big ol' earth elemental."

"No problem Joe. See if you to are worthy." Frank places the hammer on the ground at Joe's feet.
The paladin begins by taking off any access gear (like his backback and shield), but leave Excalibur on his back. The holy warrior says a quick, quiet prayer, wrapping his hands around the classic short handle. Taken aback, Joe looks up at Frank and gushed, "Wow..it feels amazing in your hand.." Taking a deep breath, the godling lifted up on the handle.
Strength check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18..And whatever type of roll the DM demands.

The legendary warhammer in Joe's hand shifts.... then it lifts a little... before Joe has to put it back down.
You would find out that Jellena set the time dilation to: a day in the lbrary is the same as 1 hour in the real world. So you did not miss the Ball. That was already planned since she has appointments each night until the ball.
fire resistence - spell, armor ability,
fire immunity - ring of elemental fire command, ritual of bathing in lava after putting a coating of a magical admixture over your body,
inspiration for your wish: guns
What kind of gun were you thinking? scout rifle, auto rifle, pulse rifle, hand cannon, side arm, shot gun, sniper rifle, etc.
Here is a link to Destiny 2 exotic weapon listing:
https://destinytracker.com/destiny-2/db/items/weapon
I know the stats on these guns better than any other examples but you could offer up other suggestions.
If you devote a day of time to each Dark Soul. Then you can make a knowledge history or local +2. Or If you keep focusing on one Dark Soul each day you can gain an additional +2. Like Jellena did for your belt.
If you wouldn't mind looking back and letting me know how many Dark Souls I said there was, that would be great!
I will let you even pick what they are and their domains. Yes you saw that right they have domains like a god, each should be associated with a specific sin as well. Even go crazy and fledge them out as NPCs if you want. ;)
The first Dark Soul you met, was a 'lich' and his domains were sloth, decay, and undeath. So likely there are 7 Dark Souls in total.

She smiles as she is twirled around in the air with ease. Really enjoying the experience. She kisses him back in a playful manner. Giving him a wink as well. Sweetly she says, "Oh yeah, you are going need to find some hard rock!"
Supernatural Beauty (Su): Once per day as a standard action, the houri may unveil her fey beauty; all creatures within 30 feet of the houri must make a Will save DC 16 (DC 10 + 1/2 the houri’s character level + the houri’s Charisma modifier) or suffer a -2 penalty on all attack rolls, saving throws, and skill checks for 1 hour as her beauty distracts and bedazzles them. This is a mind-affecting effect.
Then she relays, "If you didn't know, we both are now fey. I am an ascended houri and Delman is a... what was it again? Being part of the Seelie Court likely would strengthen their forces. Then again it is nice to have more friends in high places."
Joe "Joseph" Waskalis
The godling's eyes flash as he looks back up to those around him. "Did you see that? DID YOU SEE THAT! I was able to lift it like a few centimeters. Wow!" Joe laughs proudly at his minor achievement. "I got some way to go, but then so did Captain America, so I consider that a win!"
Do we get a wish when we level? If so, I keep forgetting.
Joe is taken aback by how stunning Jellena looks when she smiles, which seems even rarer nowadays. "Um, houri", Joe stammers.
Knowledge (nature): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
"Those are like half-nymph. Damn." Joe said impressed. "I have been converted to a fey human with all the powers of a full member of the Seelie Court. Some type of concession, I believe. Probably do to the fact it would hard to flap your fairy wings in heavy armor."
Joe leans in a little bit with the oracle and fellow paladin. "Okay. Just between us girls. Jellena, what going on between you and Frank? Lately you two have been more public with your affections. You two seem serious. Seriously cute anyway."
To Jellena's question he inserts, "Idun. Well technically Idun Touched. All Idun are females and I am lucky enough to keep my manhood."
"I bet Castria very happy about that", grinned Joe.
Joe trains and helps others research throughout the week.

So first day will be general info on the dark souls finding out there are 7 of them and we have defeated one. The next 6 days will be to find out each is dedicated to a deadly sin with the knowledge history checks.
I was able to learn we have 6 more dark souls to defeat. I do not know how powerful each may be. Or where to find them. Cithaeron seems to be the next place to visit as it contains side quest for each of us."

She exclaims at Joe's movement of the warhammer, "Nice Joe! All I could do was keep it from smashing on me."
"I am going to go into town and take care of my appointment. I will be back, is there any shopping that needs to be done?" She offers up as she begins to pick up after herself.
Ryada
She had been more withdrawn than normal. Even after the rest she was off.
She would have done research for how to lengthen her inspiring, having Frank explain and teach how he does it. Also likely what template she should add to herself to become more strong.
Joe "Joseph" Waskalis
On the first day she would have pulled you away to have a private talk. Apprehensively she lets you know with uncertainty, "I need to get stronger. I was taken over so easily. What can I do? My will was not my own..." She begins to quietly cry.
Joe sat down right next to her and held her hand. "..And you felt as helpless as you did in the sewers again", Joe surmised. "Dammit."
Both human and elf sat together talking about options. "Now you want to be able to stand on your own. So no path forward that allows you to be a focus or host for something else. Also the feats Iron Will and Improved Iron Will will help strengthen your willpower." Joe sat up. "I'll help you find a way to make you stronger." The paladin extended his hand to help Ryada on her feet. This week, Joe will be helping Ryada research how to boost her willpower and/or a template that will help her do the same.
Artemis Eule
Artemis hums, thinking a little before looking down at himself a little, "Uhhh... I could use some new clothes I suppose? I don't know, but I am pretty sure we haven't found uh... better fitting clothes since well, we all changed? If I'm not mistaken..." Artemis says, tossing about five gold pieces towards Jellena if she is still around.

She looks at Artemis with a poker face not letting any clues get by what she is thinking. She takes the coins and leaves.

You each have another 5 days of research, downtime, or training while she is gone. Then another 19 days before she leaves again.
One of the servants comes to Artemis after those days with long loose clothing and several belts. Three belts, three robes, three under garments, five linen shirts, and a pair of leather breeches.
Joe "Joseph" Waskalis
During his days of research, Joe brings both fortune-blessed (CR +1) or seelie creature (CR +1) to Ryada's attention.
Ryada
From what Joe presents she would ask, "I am sure there are good reasons besides the obvious bonuses that the two templates, explain why you chose these two? I saw the sublime, though we likely would need to find a bastion of positive energy for that one to work."
Delman Fredrel Vortani III

He sees the group at meals but besides that he is busy collecting books and writing notes at one of the side tables. At night he retires to his room and you have likely seen Castria going into the same room.
At one of those meals he would ask Frank, "So what are you researching on now? More mjornir, mjrender, or perhaps on your godling class. Wait didn't you say you were learning about the Dark Souls?"
Similarily he asks Joe and Ryada, "Focusing on templates for Ryada? Seelie or Luck right?"
Upon seeing Artemis flipping through a book he would ask, "So what is that book on?"
He would point out to Jellena, "So Force powers are tricky. It would likely be better to just focus on the light saber mastery. Since the Force is technically magic it likely would be easier to just take an arcane or divine class instead. You can do the light saber mastery with feats, I believe."
Joe "Joseph" Waskalis
Oh boy! GM Wolf gave me a big post to unpack!
From what Joe presents she would ask, "I am sure there are good reasons besides the obvious bonuses that the two templates, explain why you chose these two?"
The godling puts that book aside and opens another tome. "Now the fortune-blessed template is another powerful template, but in different ways from mighty. Basically, you ooze good luck. You can hit whatever you want every minute and nice boost to all your skills. But, again, focusing on strengthening your resolve, you would get a bonus to your willpower and be lucky enough to save against mind-affecting abilities more often, shifting fate to suit your needs."
Joe then puts the tome aside, and flips through a book with many illustrations about fairies. "This last one is the one I have: the seelie template. As I'm sure you could tell, my physical appearance was modified because of it; a more cut jawline and other slimmer features. But I'm still considered human. Well, as human as a godling can be", the holy warrior smiled. "So, the template gives you bonuses to your wisdom score, and resistance to figment-based illusions, like the lamia's shimmering scales effect. You would also get a host of spell-like abilities, even better ranged attacks, damage reduction, and bonuses to several skills. Taking this template would essentially make you a member of the Seelie Court, like Delman, Jellena, and myself. Of the templates I've researched, this one is the least helpful to give you the mental strength you were looking for."
Delman asks Joe and Ryada, "Focusing on templates for Ryada? Seelie or Luck right?"
"You've got a keen eye, Delman", Joe greets his fellow paladin as he walks by. "But the decision is ultimately Ryada's."
----------In confidence and away from the others she lays a burden upon your shoulders that you likely did not know. Quietly she brings up, "So Joe... I thank you for all you have been. It has been a wonderful ride. There have been ups and downs. Thank you for getting me through two crises now. I do love you. Getting serious though I can't have a child with you. I had a half brother and... well... I don't want to do that to my child, let alone you or me. So we can even marry if you want, I am just saying down the road if you want to. But I can't have a half elf child. If that is a deal breaker, I understand."
Joe blinks, blindsided by such news, taking a few moments to gather his thoughts. "..ah..wow. Um. I'm sorry, Ryada. I'm surprised, really. I mean..as busy as we both have been..with so little time to ourselves, this..is the first time we've talked about our feelings." Joe gets up close to the elven woman and takes her hands in his.
"Okay. I know we became 'more that friends' under stressful conditions. You were still getting your mental strength back and were in a delicate mental space. I knew of your feelings for me eventually, but I was conflicted that I was taking advantage of you. And I didn't want that. But that beautiful night in the library. The candles capturing your beautiful elven eyes ..and mind-numbingly beautiful body. My resolve fell. I still hold that night deep in my heart as the best sex I've ever had!" Joe chuckles. "We had several 'close-calls' that night, to be sure.""As for my feelings for you," Joe stalled. "I didn't know if your feelings for me were more than physical. I didn't want to make assumptions about what could have just been a release of frustration and an affirmation of your womanhood in the shadow of a great personal tragedy. So, emotionally, or more to the point, romantically, I've kept some distance. On my..," Joe corrected himself, "my old world, we've had tales of elven and human love, but often than not those tales ended in heartbreak. So I didn't hope for love from you. But now, our long-neglected feelings are finally being brought to light."
"I do have strong feelings for you. I care for your well-being, and I'm so proud of how resilient you've been. Sometimes I have to pinch myself that I have such a beautiful woman like you in my life, and I try not to make it obvious I'm dreaming about your body when you bend over or move with your elven grace."
"But this is the first time marriage has been mentioned, much less a declaration of our feelings", Joe swallowed, then continued. "That being said, I could see us falling in love with each other. And if The Fates are with us, maybe, someday, getting married. But I'm dismayed that the thought of half-elven children is off the table. It would not be the first time not having children was non-negotiable. Despite one of the many reasons I married my first wife was that I thought Cyndy would make a great mother, she didn't want children for the simply fact she was afraid she would become abusive toward them. But despite that fact, Cyndy and I had many blissful years of marriage, but the spectre of not having children made it difficult for me at times."
"I'm fully committed to my new home. I can't go back", Joe explains. "But if I'm going to make a life here for me, especially now that I have a younger body, I want a full life. I want to someday be married and have kids. I have the energy and resolve to raise children to become fully-realized individuals, something I couldn't do back on Earth."
Joe then took his hands from Ryada's grip and placed them under the elven woman's jawline. "But I can understand your side of the arguement. I understand why you would not want to have half-human children. Despite all the love you could give a half-elven child, he or she would still live a shorter life than the elven parent. For me, it would be like having a child with the lifespan of a dog. You would watch as the child got more older quicker than their peers, with the real prospect of burying your son or daughter due to old age, while time would be much kinder to you. I get it. I do. I just don't want to compromise another opportunity to have a family again."
Ryada
She does her best to put on a smile, but it just looks pitiful. She does her best to let the words come out calm, "I have the highest regard for humans, especially since it was the other race of my brother. But if possible I would not want someone let alone my child to go through what Tradeon went through."
Her face lightens with a thought, "Well you do have a new family. Though how would you feel about becoming an elf? Then we can be Seelie Elves together."
Joe "Joseph" Waskalis
""Well you do have a new family. Though how would you feel about becoming an elf? Then we can be Seelie Elves together."
"Tempting", the godling smiles sadly, leaning in to rest his head on Ryada's. "Someday, you'll fine the perfect elven man who can give you the life you deserve. You are still my friend. You are still a vital member of Night Hawks And..ah," Joe stumbles, trying to find the words, only smelling her beautiful hair. "..I..don't know what to say." Joe continues to rest his head on Ryada's brow, hesitant for the moment to end.
Ryada
She smiles at the word, Tempting. Sorrow slowly grips her face at his confirmation he won't change his race. She tries to let go of his hands and move her head away from his. She slowly says, "Yes we are still friends. And Night Hawks... I just need a bit of time to myself."
The next few days she is mopey and keeps to her own table for research.

Over the next several days, Joe gives the elven bard her space, but can often be found looking in her direction, keeping an ear open for requests for help.

Joe sighs and sits next to the oracle. "You know. You OBVIOUSLY know about Ryada and me." Jellena continues to look at the paladin, waiting for more. "Ryada sat me down and told me her feelings about us, but it was the first time we've done so. I was worried she would have formed a very strong emotional need from me." The holy warrior pauses to gather his thoughts, while Brandon shifts forms to a black pug and lays down on Jellena's lap. "She probably hates me now. I wish we would have had a chance to talk about our feelings before."
"Did she tell you she wanted me to change my race, for her? That's a monumental step! You know what would happen if I became an elf? I'd keep Ryada barefoot-and-pregnant from all the sex we'd have, damaging her bardic career and making me an absent father! And I sure as hell don't want that!" Joe's rant appears to be over.

Joe sighs and sits next to the oracle. "You know. You OBVIOUSLY know about Ryada and me."
Jellena continues to look at the paladin, waiting for more. "Ryada sat me down and told me her feelings about us, but it was the first time we've done so. I was worried she would have formed a very strong emotional need from me."
She nods to confirm it.
The holy warrior pauses to gather his thoughts, while Brandon shifts forms to a black pug and lays down on Jellena's lap.
Once done she offers, "She doesn't hate you, in fact she loves you. I suggested that she go get a rebound guy and she was aghast or appalled, or perhaps both. She is waiting for YOU." She emphasizes the last word pointing at his chest as her other hand continues to pet the pug.
She sighs a bit and suggests, "Well with this down time there is plenty of time to talk. Yes she put a lot in front of you at one time and likely was not fair to you. She just wanted to get it all out there and for good reason. Though as mature adults... I am not going to say it."
"Yes she told me about that option, she was hoping you weren't too attached to your humanity. So you love her. Be an elf, love her, and support her in her career. You can't be absent when you are not even a father yet. Plus I doubt that she would let you leave her behind. Think of all the things this wonderful woman has done and survived. You helped her through it. Plus you have your new family here and we will support both of you whatever you choose. We are forever the Mistress's and bound as Night Hawks. Stop being a fool and go to her."

Being embraced by a phoenix. Taking a dip in a magical pool on the elemental plane of fire. You keep going back to that first book you found about wishes. You could likely make a wish to be immune to fire but would need some sort of balance. Like a coldness weakness, a sacrifice of some sort, or the interference of a god.
History on the Dark Souls... The last check is a 30:
You know the known strongholds that they have resided within. These places are castles, palaces, or forts built ontop of magical locations. That in itself makes it more dangerous. For example the nymph of lust has massive vines surrounding her den that if struck you likely will be enchanted to see it as a love and impale yourself on the thorn to get to them.
2nd you know all their names and the associated sin.
3rd you know their lieutenants names and descriptions.
4th you have read about a lot of the history of the Dark Souls. That many of them were travelers or Chosen much like yourself. They each were Chosen by a dark god of one sort or another. They will be surrounded by fanatics, cultists, and even armies. You have learned about the fall of some to other Dark Souls taking their place.
Joe "Joseph" Waskalis
"She doesn't hate you, in fact she loves you. I suggested that she go get a rebound guy and she was aghast or appalled, or perhaps both. She is waiting for YOU." She emphasizes the last word pointing at his chest as her other hand continues to pet the pug.
"Well! Maybe it's a good idea she found herself a rebound guy", Joe blinked, then continued. "Ryada deserves as much..choice in her life as one can have on such a mosaic world as Arcanium." The paladin's solve strengthens and weakens with every sentence.
Stop being a fool and go to her."...
"Can you imagine?" The paladin laughed bitterly. "This head on the body of an elf. I'd look like a miscast extra in Lord of The Rings! The other guys didn't seem to have any problem changing their races. And I know changing your race is not that big a deal in New Faces, but look at me! I'm how I always wanted to look! Granted becoming seelie altered that a bit, but my self image has never been this good. And yes, I'm aware how shallow that sounds. But for a guy never much self-esteem as a teenager, I'm proud of how I look. All thanks to The Mistress!' Joe seemed to calm down after that outburst.
"And it's more than that", Joe admits with a sigh. "Ryada has beautiful red hair, blue eyes, and is a trained singer. Just like my first wife!" The godling paused. "What if I'm transferring any feelings for Cyndy unto Ryada. That's not fair to Ryada!" Joe sat back down next to Jellena, head in his hands. After a few moments, Joe looks to the oracle. "Ryada's had a few days on her own studying to gestalt or choose a template. I'll go and see if she needs any help." Joe bolts up and walks a few steps away, then stops. "Brandon. Let's go." The black pug runs to catch up with his charge. "Thanks, Jellena", Joe said to the oracle in a down-hearted manner before we walked away.| Ryada |

Moving us along...
You spend another month or so in the library learning and exploring before the night of the ball comes.
Ryada likely has become Seelie and learned quite a few things from Frank.
Artemis has a new fancy sniper rifle, ready, and loaded for action!
Frank has learned a lot about the Dark Souls. Though still a focused study could learn about their particular ablities, strengths and weaknesses.
Jellena has given up becoming a jedi, though she has begun to learn how to weild the light saber with much more finesse.
Delman stows his bows and arrows in the large quiver on his back ready to be summoned for the threat at hand.
If you did not prepare any specialty armor or clothing, luckiliy for you Jellena had thought about you. She was able to bring reams of cloth and the servants have been taking your measurements... So find a picture of what regalia that you are wearing, or look at Joe's description and run with it!
The ball is in the mansion of the mayor of New Faces. A modest estate with several acres of garden around it. The ballroom is actually rather small but that is where you get introduced. Before coming down the stairs and joining the onlookers, adventurers, and patrons. It is jam packed with people. Those with higher ranks come is last. As the Night Hawks are the 34 group to be introduced of 40.
The Night Hawks, presenting Jellena Darkling, High Oracle of the Mistress, Joeseph Waskalis, Soul Paladin of the Mistress, Warlord Frank Steel, Artemis Eule, Ryada Silverleaf, and Delman Fredrel Vortani III Soul Paladin of the Mistress. If you had a choice of title let it be so, and add it to your character sheet.
Following you are the Flying Cranes, a group of three sorcerouses clad all in white and the birds in their hair are likely illusions. 36, The Bold, a group of five militant looking men in regalia befitting high ranking soldiers. 37, The Iron Maidens, four women coming down in light armor that seems to be heavy armor. 38, The Sky Larks, though only one individual comes down a small folk, likely halfling in whimsical yellow puffy dress. 39, Grand Master Thraddic, Silver Cross Echelon, an elder of silver hair and chiseled jaw walks down with two subordinates in his wake. His cane in hand is used in flourishes as he walks not for support. 40, Mistress of the Blade, Kol of the Diamond Dews, long blonde curls fall among her shoulders as this beautiful woman moves sensuously down the stairs with two kitsumes in her wake. Many more names were given as the groups were introduced. If you want to know them just let me know.
Joe "Joseph" Waskalis
"Hi everyone" the godling starts. "The Adventurer's ball is in a few days. So I called this meeting so we are all on the same page. From what I've been told it's a major social affair. So, I wanted this time for us all to be together to discuss one topic: Is their anything this group does not want to discuss with others outside this group. As Night Hawks, we have accomplished much, but at the same time, several of us have had major personal setbacks. So I wanted to open up the floor. For me, it's alright if Excalibur, and Brandon's true nature is discussed. One thing I would like to be kept from the public the location of the Library, and it's recent near destruction."
"Is there other topics we wish to avoid?" Joe asked the familia.

If you did not prepare any specialty armor or clothing, luckiliy for you Jellena had thought about you. She was able to bring reams of cloth and the servants have been taking your measurements... So find a picture of what regalia that you are wearing, or look at Joe's description and run with it!
Joe is wearing stylized black leather parade armor, adored with The Mistress's regalia on it. The soul paladin (which sounds much better than Paladin of Death) has added a tall, black peaked hat with dark silver epaulettes on the shoulder with a military-styled shoulder strap where Excalibur and his scabbard hang at the shoulder.
[ooc]If you had a choice of title let it be so, and add it to your character sheet.
Upon begin introduced as Joseph Waskelis, Soul Paladin of the Mistress, the godling holds out his hand as a cassissian angel flies into the party through one of the windows, above the heads of the onlookers. At the zenith of his flight, Brandon transforms into his pitch black crow form, drifting down to land on Joe's outstretched hand, where the soul paladin directs the celestial to perch on his right shoulder, with Excalibur's handle sticking out at Joe's left shoulder.
During the party, Joe will make a concerned effort to meet and thank the mayor, hobnob with any members of Tempest Wolves and Cayden Cailean's familia, and introduce himself to any other paladins that were announced at the party.| GM Wolf |
Mayor McCorrmick greets you with a grin and a firm handshake. He wears a blue military uniform with a white cape. The flecks of gray in his brown blonde mane shows he hasn't changed the color in his hair recently. Though there are very few wrinkles on his face. Then he happily says, "It is good to meet our most promising paladin, I hear you go by Joe. Can I call you Joe. Tell me of your most recent exploits!"
You can find the Tempest Wolves outside off to the side. You soon find out they were called in as the third group. Their levels should put them further ahead and one of their father's a noble, but having to be rescued had sullied their names. Still they are here to smooze and hobnob with the best of them.
Joe you can find Cayden Cailean's familia off in one of the side rooms. Entering you see Spade wave you in and the bouncer lets you in. Spade is working the VIP room and offering obviously very pricey alcohol as the three nobles have black cards on the table, each taking a shot of the stuff and then just looking up at the colorful lights on the ceiling, dancing lights to be precise. Spade asks, "So how goes it? What's new?"
Grand Master Thraddic of the Silver Cross Echelon, is many things and apparently a paladin to boot. How do you apporach him?

Mayor McCorrmick greets you with a grin and a firm handshake. He wears a blue military uniform with a white cape. The flecks of gray in his brown blonde mane shows he hasn't changed the color in his hair recently. Though there are very few wrinkles on his face. Then he happily says, "It is good to meet our most promising paladin, I hear you go by Joe. Can I call you Joe. Tell me of your most recent exploits!"
"Joe is fine, Mayor McCorrmick", the paladin smiles and returns the handshake. "Well, after the destruction of an undead horde in the Wastes, our oracle suggested we take advantage of the various places of power in New Faces. For example, The Night Hawks undertook the test of The Heroes of New Faces. Sadly, I failed. But the rest of the team succeeded."
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (9) + 13 = 22You can find the Tempest Wolves outside off to the side. You soon find out they were called in as the third group. Their levels should put them further ahead and one of their father's a noble, but having to be rescued had sullied their names. Still they are here to smooze and hobnob with the best of them.
Joe introduces himself to those Tempest Wolf members he doesn't recognize. Finding the guild leader, Joe asks, "Mr. Hillfoot, any word on any prospective quests of other jobs so far this evening?"
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (19) + 13 = 32Joe you can find Cayden Cailean's familia off in one of the side rooms.
"Great to see you again, Spade. Hope you are doing well", Joe smiles, shaking his hand. "I gather I'm like most adventurers here: inbetween jobs." The paladin looks around. "So are you running this room for The Mayor, or does all this go into Cayden's coffers?" If there are any other members of Cayden Cailean's familia present, Joe introduces himself to them.

Joe gathers up what he knows about the Silver Cross Echelon.

The mayor nods in excitement at the feats, "Should we be talking to your bard for the ballad then? By George how did you fail?" You can tell he likes you and does his best to praise you, even when you put yourself down. You can tell at least a dozen ears and expectant faces are around listening too.
Mr. Hillfoot shakes his head at your inquiry, "No official quests tonight, we have several back at the house. Though if you point out that you are a Tempest Wolf that would do wonders for our guild."
Spade pulls Joe to the side for his answers. Whispering, [little]"The mayor gets a small percentage off the profits but mostly to the church."[/little] [ooc]You aren't sure if the five bouncers or servant are members of Spade's Familia. He also does not introduce them.

"Our bard, the lovely elf maiden, Ryada, is very talented, but I'm not aware of any prepared performance pertaining to the event, so I'm afraid you will have to make due, with my feeble recollections", Joe nodded humbly.
"The situation called for those to deduce the correct member of The Heroes of New Faces, based on clues given, and touch the correct person's statute visage", the paladin began. "The scenario began as we climbed the wall into the courtyard where the statues where standing. But once we climbed the wall, we were placed in the middle of a heated battle, with little to no visibility, unaware of the location of my fellow Night Hawks. It took a small battle with some illusionary goblin bands until I located the statues. My concern for my fellow adventurers overtook my reason and I touched the wrong statue, exiting me out of the exercise, but without the intented benefit. I was able to immediately find our wise oracle, Jellena, and the afore-mentioned Ryada. The three other members of the Night Hawks completed the scenario, while I received a lesson in focusing on the mission, and having more faith in my teammates."Diplomacy: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (8) + 13 = 21

"I shall do that, sir", the holy warrior promises his guildmaster.

"Well, I sure you shall do your divine patron proud. I'm gonna make due with what the mayor is offering", Joe responded. "I still intend to have my first dwarven ale at your fine alehouse. Take care, sir. And I hope to see you again soon", the paladin offered the familia member a handshake as he left to continue to circulate throughout the ball.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30With the info he discovered about Grandmaster Thraddic, Joe decided to keep his distance from the powerful paladin, giving a small bow to the Silver Cross Echelon guildmaster should their eyes meet.
During his journeys through the party, Joe decides to keep his Seelie Sight (Ex) active. Joe wonders if Lady Kol of the Diamond Dews might actually be fey, trying to remember if kitsune are considered fey creatures.

Before the Ball
"Nothing's off-topic for me. I agree about the library though. No need to alert anyone to what we have found here. Let's try and have some fun out there."
At the Adventurers Ball
Frank After getting rid of the armor and cloths Frank arrived with to this world he opts to have a couple of versions of this embroidered tunic he wears in the pic. As others seem to be going with black he would wear the black version with gold embroidery. He would add a white Shoulder Cape about twice the length of this one and with gold embroidery along the cloak edge as well. White pants and black and gold dress greaves to match his tunic.
When announced Frank will correct him.
"Warlord of Thunder Frank Steel." He smiles.
He then goes about the room. He is not shy. He steps into conversations as if he has known the people forever. He cracks jokes and makes light of things. He flirts and compliments the lady's as well as congratulating the men they are with if they are with any. Working the room and making easy friends or enemies depending on how they take him.
This is pretty much my party motive. All those work mixer, leadership training, ice breaker things a lot of people don't like. Well, not me. I'm that guy. everyone's friend. I just love people and talking. Only strangers are people I haven't said hello to yet.
GM Wolf
The mayor and those close around listen closely to your retelling of your adventure.
Frank makes himself known throughout the ball. Mostly for the better but also stepping on many toes or egos.
Jellena takes a much more diplomatic approach than Frank. Having many contacts she is able to twirl from one side of the room to the other among social groups with grace and ease. Ryada walks in her path.
Delman makes his way down the stairs and watches as the others begin their mission. He steps to the side, allowing Artemis to join him if he wishes with a wave of his hand. Castria chose to stay at the temple. He begins to talk with those along the walls, introducing Artemis first then himself.
Joe "Joseph" Waskalis
After retelling the Heroes of New Faces tale, Joe again thanks his host and detached from the circle of onlookers to weave out into the party.
That was a pleasant experience, thought Joe. The Mayor seems he 'll be a great ally. I will have to make steps to keep in contact with him.
Concerning Lady Kol and the Sky Larks, the soul paladin tries to remember what he has heard about them.

Before the Ball:
In the few hours leading up to the ball, Artemis would be sitting in a chair, looking between a few options of what to wear as his eyes dart back and forth in indecision, his head resting a little on his hand. "Now... what the hell am I gonna wear..."
Present:
Donning this, Artemis would give a nod and a slight bow as he is introduced before following Delman into the crowd, "So uh... you got a game plan or are we just winging it?"

As time passes Frank will bait the hook in each pocket group he interacts with.
"So what is up with these Dark Souls right?"
Not wanting to give much away. Just seeing if others will talk, share rumors or information. Perhaps even let agents know some new guys is inquiring about them.
GM Wolf
Frank, most of the folks here shy from speaking about the Dark Souls almost as if their name was 'Voldemort'. Some of them shake their heads, insinuating to not to talk about them. Are you saying any specific names or just using the words, 'Dark Souls'?
Concerning Lady Kol and the Sky Larks, the soul paladin tries to remember what he has heard about them. You think and visions and memroies appear in your mind as if they were always there.
Knowledge (nobility)(Lady Kol): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Lady Kol is not actually nobility. Though many would say with her talent as a blade master she could easily gain one if she wanted. Or using her beauty to snag a noble.
She is one of the few within the town of New Faces to attain 10 th level with special blade skills.
Knowledge (local)(Lady Kol): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
In other circles she is known as the silent blade, silent fey, and the crusher of hearts. She is human though somehow has connections to the fey. She does not speak much and chooses to turn down fools with harsh physical actions rather than words.
Knowledge (local)(Sky Larks): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11
The Sky Larks are a guild made up of fey and small folk. Elves, gnomes, halflings, and the few actual fey belong to this guild. Though how to get into the guild is only by request.
Its almost as if Delman doesn't want to talk to the other folks. Introducing Artemis the half demon seems to have adverse affects on those who would be willing to speak with you. ;)

nothing specific. Don't want them to know I know as much as I do.
"It's a shame. Seems they have been in power awhile around here. Any adventures ever try to make a run at them? Just seems at some point you would. I mean the truly good guys anyways. We all can't just be in it for the money and power. Am I right?"
He continues hobnobbing and seeing if anyone will open up.

At that remark an elder of silver hair and chiseled jaw walks up to you with cane in hand. He twirls it around his hand with the flick of his finger. "You are right son, though our intel on them is rough at best. Plus the last three we have killed were merely replaced within a month of each of them. We continue but too many of us die in the process. Right now we are hoping to train enough to send out several strike teams at once."
Frank Steel

"Interesting idea. I don't know much. Seems like there maybe seven of them. Though I wonder if there is a head above them. One they all answer to. We killed one recently. I certainly would entertain the idea of striking out at them if you have information. Perhaps we can compare notes. What's your name old-timer?" Frank extends his hand.
"Frank Steel. Good to meet you."
