He shakes his head as his associates do as well, but then he points out, "Artemis, you just need someone to craft a weapon for you? One that casts acid arrows?"

They nod their heads to Franks statements.

One of them points out, "The Overlord was in charge of the Red Horde until he disappeared three years ago. A man of evil, suited up in arcane plate and doles out fireballs with a flick of his hand. You want to meet up every week for updates. Lets meet back here in 10 days, I think that works for most of us, and you?"

You might think that but the last 100+ posts have all been in the last few days and time has not been progressing as fast in the game. I just picked a month that is previous to ours. As I have not been keeping strict track of it yet. Though if you did a check... not sure which one... to determine when you defeated the slothful undead Dark Soul and how much time has passed. I would say it nearly has been a month.

"The troll is fire infused, so immune to fire... wait, actually heals more in fire. As does its family, a total of three. It has a large mouth in its belly that consumes things or people that are never seen again. Acid is the only thing to stop its regeneration but has a resistance to it somehow. Likely it has a magical item like a ring of resist acid. Any prolonged ranged combat is best as it and his family prefer to wade into melee. As some of the toughest targets in the Red Horde you will likely find them alone, they eat anything that comes near. Though likely you will have to wade through regiments of orcs and goblins to even find them. Why is everyone looking out the windows or going outside. Let's look into this and then come back."

As the windows are full with people already the eight of you go outside to join a large assembly of people looking up to see that the sky has darkened with black smoke or black clouds and the glowing crimson words spelling, "The Overlord has returned, tremble with fear!"

He curses under his breath and mentions to the group, "This makes things ten times worse. Especially going after the troll. The cultists are going to have a hay day with this. Though if you act fast, perhaps slaying the trolls would be the best option right now before the Overlord can reign in the Red Horde. You should go, and go quickly!"

They speak amongst themselves and then he responds back to Artemis, "That is a good question but we believe that would work for the first months. It seems like they would place a new title upon a recipient on the first of the next month if you fail to kill one of them."

"No, no, no, the Trick or Treat gang will form at the start of October and we will have to defeat them before the end of October. Also we must defeat a Dark Soul that month to make sure they can't entitle a new Dark Soul. It doesn't have to be the troll, just a Dark Soul.
It is June so we have several months before we have to worry about that.
I think the most pressing question is which Dark Soul should we go after next? I can divert some assets to help the Night Hawks depending which one you go after. Our forces are typically caught up in foiling evil plans but never actually running into a Dark Soul. The last three times our teams have fought a Dark Soul it was tragic, we have very few Chosen to help us."

"We have a month before another one will be selected. If we continue to kill another Dark Soul each month they cannot pass the title to another. Though in October we must kill one of them and the trick or treat gang. Once the prime Dark Souls are vanquished we have a year to kill the four horsemen before they can put titles of truth upon recipients. Though they can put titles of power on any and all. Odin save us. We were so close 7 years ago but then we were betrayed by the three brothers of wrath. They were paladins." He laments.

They are three individuals working together. We think one of them is the Overlord or Lord of the Dark Souls. We have not tested their strength. Though they seem to be as strong as each other, seeing each of them take down an ogre in one swing at an ogre rebellion.

He begins by introducing everyone. Then they start giving information. "I hear that the slothful undead Dark Soul has been defeated."

"The gluttonous fire infused troll is still with the Red Horde. His brothers still stick with him. We still don't know who the overlord is. They are in the wilderness to the North of Avalon."

Greed is still unaconted for.

In the far South in the Desolet wastes the Wrathful Demonic Knights Baruliis, Caines, and Arrunes hold the desert in destruction.

"Ah! The Night Hawks, welcome do join us and have a seat. We haven't started without you." You can tell in his voice his level of formality has changed a lot.

He nods at you in acknowledgment and offers, "Let's meet at Cayden's tavern at noon. And bring all the Night Hawks then."

"Grand Master Thraddic, good to meet you Frank. You are apart of the up and coming group... the Night Hawks was it? Oh that is good to know. Perhaps it would be best to collaborate then. After the ball of course. If you haven't figured it out yet most won't want to talk about the Dark Souls with you." He is confident and frank with you. Obviously enjoying someone not trying to flatter him.

At that remark an elder of silver hair and chiseled jaw walks up to you with cane in hand. He twirls it around his hand with the flick of his finger. "You are right son, though our intel on them is rough at best. Plus the last three we have killed were merely replaced within a month of each of them. We continue but too many of us die in the process. Right now we are hoping to train enough to send out several strike teams at once."
