You have died and the gods have decided for one reason or another to give you another chance. This chance is to start anew as you are with a special ability in a mystical world of monsters and adventure.

It is an Isekai game, a reference to a situation in which characters find themselves transported to an alternate dimension or universe.

The sensation of fangs puncturing his neck was strange, but draining.
I looked up some errata online which says normally I could channel energy while grappled, but not pinned.
The godling will use some of the knowledge gained by being half-divine, and attempt to escape the vampire's clutches.
Escape Artist: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15 I'll need a ruling to see if that breaks the pinned condition. Regardless, Joe will continue to break the grapple or pinned condition in Round 2.

Escape Artist: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19

Joe will continue to attempt to break free of the vampire.

She mimics Joe's movement so only gets hit by the last fireball.

Morgana charges forward and several more arms appear seemingly at her sides.

Round 2

Her six arms slice into a barrier of some kind. Being held back she moves back to see the threat. The man in black is chanting. The man in white asks, "What is important to you Joeseph?"

Round 3

She slices at the barrier in feint. Then appears beside the man in black yelling, "Die!" Only one sword can be swung, he seems to bring up another barrier but she slices through it, through his arm, chest, and body. He falls in peices as blood covers them.

Frank watches the second vampire attempt to move in and bit Joe.

"JOE LOOK OUT" Warning Roar: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (2) + 23 = 25 VS 25. Close Joe but Vamp 2 misses you.

Roune 3
Frank realizes the wizard in front of him turned invisible but he couldn't do that and still move away.

"Midnight sniff out the invisible ones and have a snack."

Frank hears the bones crack of the caster. He flaps his wings a couple of times and heads over to assist Joe.

Round 3

Artemis would briefly look over, frowning as he sees the vampires on Joe, quickly reloading in the chaos around him before taking a shot at the regent, "Hey Jellena, I could use some ammunition right about now!"

He quickly moves to finish off a weakened insibible caster. Then another. As all the other nobles shake in fright from the tiger. Many move back giving it space. The Red wizard casually walks to the side, flicking a set of scorching rays across the room to singe some spawn.

Ryada moves back to Artemis and casts abundant ammunition upon him. She begins to sing again keeping her inspiration going.

Round 3 & 4

Delman holds the bow taunt as the arrow becomes even brighter, as the knights and spawn stop thinking it is a daylight spell. Though it doesn't incinerate the spawn or vampires with its light.

He then releases it striking the three of them that are grappled, the vampires incinerate. As the Regent was almost gone, mostly due to Artemis.

She helps keep the heat on the noble casters. She might not be able to see them but Midnight could.

Morgana took her attacks and decimates the third vampire attached to the floor.

Joe gets out of the pin only to be put back into it by the regent. Jellena and Midnight successfully cow the nobles as Midnight chews one their own before them. Morgana slashes at the vampire stuck to the ground. As what appeared as daylight from Delman's bow the fighting stopped as the Vikings watched in fear and the Knights were filled with hope. More spawn attempted to enter the room from the hallways but were blocked by the royal guards. Artemis' shot blows a hole in the regent's shoulder. Frank can hear the sound of broken bones as he smashes into the mage, the invisible body heavily lands on the ground.

Delman might not be able to finish the regent as Frank and Artemis get to go first.

Artemis would call out a little, "Thanks!" he says, feeling a little relaxed as he continues to fire at the regent.

Frank steps up and attempts to finish off the Regent.

Frank spins Mjölnir around and brings it thundering down onto the regent's other shoulder. As the vampire buckles under the blow, Frank follows with a gashing claw across its chest from bellow lifting him back up to meet Frank's gaze just as he bites at the creature's neck ripping decayed flesh away from it.

"Joe you alright?"


The Regent is decimated by the attacks turning into ash. Delman's arrow hits Joe and pierces the other vampire. That vampire bursts into flames and vaporizers. A third of the vikings vaporize in flames as well. The third caught vampire turns to dust as well at the onslaught of Morgana.

The room is silent for a few moments. Then the spawn quickly turn and do their best at leaving the room, scrambling past the knights and royal guards. Midnight finds the last invisible one, to a gory chew. One of the guards calls out, "Let them leave sir?!" As the ones they were keeping from entering turn about.

The man in white who stood to the left of the the throne who apparently did nothing walks up to Frank and Joe. Presenting a sheath that appears completely white except for a silver rim at the top and the base. "For the weilder of Eskalaver, King of Avalon. You may call me what you wish as I hold the position of white councilor."

The red noble caster walks up behind him further behind. He kneels 10 feet away and waits.

Morgana states, "I will hunt them down." Then charges off after the spawn.

"No!" Joe barks with authority. "I will not have those escaping undead feed on the people of this great land." Turning to his adventuring band, the paladin asks, "Night Hawks, I humbly request your aid in ridding Avalon of those errant undead. A request from your friend.. and Avalon's new king."

"White councilor, we shall discuss your lack of action at a latter time", King Joseph said through a narrowed gaze. "For now, I want you to coordinate with the castle guards and report on any other casualties or security breaches during this time. And place the scabbard back near the throne. Eskalaver will discuss it further."

"I'll be right behind you!" The godling called out to the swordswoman. Holding aloft the golden sword, King Joseph asks, "Looks like we have much to still do before we rest. Ready Eskalaver?"


"As you wish King, may I create daylight?" He takes the scabbard back to the throne putting it upon the throne. Once Joeseph says yes, he casts daylight upon the scabbard.

He then walks away from it and follows the Royal Guard one path away.

The noble in red ventures to say, "Lord you will find the throne is magical, sit upon it and you can speak to all of your subjects in Avalon for a while."

Morgana rushes down another path before the light can spread. Her arms working in tandem to cut down bodies of spawn.

The knights with blue magical weapons continue their attack pushing the undead to the choke points until they all burn. Then the guards and them march down the exits. The other knights stand as it becomes safe and follow their comrades picking up weapons as they go from the fallen spawn.

The nobles slowly begin to pick themselves up. One dark haired noble in a blue jumpsuit volunteers, "Should we begin to look for their coffins?!?"

He stumbles to the ground but in the following rounds still looks for spawn to shoot.

His arrows whizzing and finding their marks without err, two fall before they can get away.

As the room is clear of targets he sits down. He coughs and points out, "When I recover I will look for the coffins... focus on the spawn!"

She keeps singing and shooting with Delman's other bow, doing minimal damage. After the daylight spell she returns to Delman's side offering a hand.


The Tiger goes over to help weed out the spawn but as the daylight spell comes he growls loudly. Then he speaks, "This room shall remain secure."

She quickly moves to the nearest exit and her light sber buzzes as she hacks limbs from the spawn. After the daylight spell she yells, "HUZZAH" Then continues down that route towards the undead there.

"Smite them all!" It pronounces.

Frank nods at the orders. He takes flight and exits the nearest window.

"I will cut them off from the outside."

He circles around to the main entrance ready to take down any trying to escape.

Artemis just gives a thumbs up at Joe, nodding quickly before following Frank out the window, making sure to mind the gap as he too heads to the main entrance, ready to shoot any that Frank can't intercept.


It takes you a few rounds to find a window that opens wide enough for you to exit. Then a few more rounds to get down to the castle steps.

It takes time but the mobs of spawn within the castle are routed within minutes. As the knights quickly collect their normal weapons on the way.

Frank and Artemis find only a few to clean up.

Gurads then arrive to support and take position at the entrance, they suggest going back to the throne room. Soon enough you are all back into the throne room. Go ahead and dramatize how you finish off the undead then return.

Silver Crusade

Frank dives down pouncing onto one of the fleeing spawn. A clap of thunder can be heard as Mjölnir smashes into the abomination. He stands ready holding the gate against any others trying to leave. The surrounding people have taken notice and look on as the large half dragon fights the undead spawn. That in itself would be a scene to marvel at, but the half dragon is doing so naked and aroused. A few moments later it is over. Aided with a hail of gunfire Frank turns to the gathered crowd. Smiles and nods before taking flight and heading back to the throne room.

Artemis would just sigh a little at the half-dragon's... unique fighting techniques before continuing to fly, electing to focus on the abominations furthest away from the duo. Blowing the smoke away from the barrel of his gun, Artemis would look over towards the crowd, and after doing a mini aerial somersault in place, would give the crowd a gentle bow before heading back to the throne room.

The new King of Avalon follows the swordwoman out to hunt for the recently escaped undead.


The vampire spawn are hunted down until the halls are quiet.

The man in white finds Joe, he knells before you and quickly states, "Good I found you King, it seems that the scourage has been wiped from our halls. We need you to take the throne to see if anyone else is still in danger!"

King Joseph whips around to address his page. "The throne has the means to do this?" The godling turns back to the swordswoman. "Lady Aurorua, keep searching. I hope to return shortly." The paladin follows the page back to the throne room.


She nods to him and continues down the path on her own.

Joe comes back to the throne room to find Midnight lying in the middle of the room, most of the nobles in small groups talking quietly, and one royal guardsman at each entrance. As you approach they quickly kneel down. The man in white leads you to the throne. Then he relays, "Now say, for the protection of my people, show me those in need."

You see people holding a door shut from a threat but it inches open with claws entering the crack. A guardsmen is 90 feet North of the threat with two knights 30 feet from him. You see one older man in a room holding a shield between him and a spawn. His daughters cringing behind him, Jellena and three guardsmen need to make a right at the end of the hall then the third door on their left. Then you see quickly glimpses of the many towns and villages in disarray. You know that not all of it is happening now but soon.

Joe sits down on the throne, which feels both very big but very personal. "For the Protection of my People, Show Me those in Need!"
The visions described above roll through his head. The King's eyes light up in inspiration, as he brings his silver ring up to his lip. Joe reports the whereabouts of those in need to the Night Hawks, urging Jellena to take three guardsman and save the old man and his little girl.

Silver Crusade

Frank watches as Joe takes the throne and does his best to help the people. He looks around at the dead Vikings and knights from the battle. He pulls a cloak from one of them. He wraps it around like a sarong.

"There you go Artemise. I saw your look of WTF. I was quite enjoying a princess before Joe summoned us here, or Jelena. Hopefully, I can get back to her. She was going to pay me for some quest. Let's make sure everything is alright."

He approaches the throne.

"What do you see King Joe... Anything I can do to help?"


A few incantations and a swish of his drink and clothes of adequate size are on the other hand of the red noble. He presents himself, "Agravaine Lothain, at the King's service. Dragon friend here are some clothes that should fit you. When things settle down I could possibly transport you back."

Then the strain of the throne is upon you, you may continue but you must make fortitude check DC 15 to not become exhausted. The DC increases by 5 each time. You are already fatigued. You see the guards and Jellena moving at your directions and coming upon the spawn with force.

Silver Crusade

"Some monster..is trying to get past a door..held by several people. They are not far.. Help them." King Joseph relay the location as he sees it to Frank.

Fortitude DC 20: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (1) + 14 = 15
The soul paladin screams in pain as he is thrusted out of the throne to the floor.


Thinking about the direction to Frank you see there is many corridors and rooms between Frank and them. Just seeing them is not more effort expended on you but speaking with them is what drains you. To follow the steps Joe says, Frank will need Intelligence DC 25 to rememmber.


Joe is exhausted. But not out cold.

The man in white suggests, "Let us find you accommodations, as you came to the king in his need we will put you in his royal rooms. The knights and guards will do their best as most of the threat is past." With that servants come out and lead you to your rooms.

Agravaine Lothain, the noble in red, comes up to Frank, "Do you still wish to return, where were you last?"

"But..the knight", King Joseph tries to speak. "He's about to be outnumbered..we muyst help him.." The new King of Avalon is lead away to the royal rooms. "Members of..The Night Hawks.. are allowed to disturb me." The next bit, the paladin almost yells in his tiredness. "And WHERE THE HELL..is Merlin!"


The man in white quickly says, "We will send knights and guards to continue looking. They know what they are looking for." He nods and those guards and knights in the room head off. Some had already left before that.

"Merlin is away, I am her stand in." He says.

"Her, huh?" King Joseph smiles. "So..those of you in white..what do you call yourselves?" The paladin asks as he's led away.

Artemis just gives one last look at Joe before looking towards Frank and giving a small shrug, "Uhh... guess its time to relax? I think the threat seems to be taken care of..."


"As I have said before you may call me anything of your choice, though Councilor is what the regent called me." He replies as he helps you to your nearest room Joe.

Servants in white come from the exits and offer to take you to a room to rest, if you wish.

As Joe flops into bed, he groggily thinks out loud, "You stand in for Merlin..so I'll call you..The Apprentices of Merlin", the paladin yawns, ..or maybe the Children of Merlin, or something better might pop in me head..when I get up."


"As you wish king. Servants." he states and several servants in white come forth to help you take off your armor, clothes, and put you in a sleeping slip. Eskalaver is taken by the Merlin's Apprentice and put upon a silken pillow on a pedestal.

Silver Crusade

Frank looks at Joe puzzled.

"Those directions suck Joe. I don't even know where we are besides some castle."

He then watches Joe slump to the floor as others come to his aid.

"You alright buddy. So if your king you probably got a few things you need to do. I'm going to go back and square things up with the princes I was with. I'm assuming Jellena can pull me back again or however, she does what she does. You good bro?"

Frank nods to the noble in red as he approaches.

"Is there a way back? Can you tell me where here is first?"

As Joe's body quickly falls into slumber, the paladin's mind races with he events of the days: the dance, meeting members of the Seelie Court, riding a flying carpet away from the ball, plunging his magical sword into a stone, fighting vampires in Camelot's court, images of Merlin changing genders, and Eskalaver resting on a bed worthy enough for him.


The noble in red suggests, "I could teleport you back or you could waypoint back. I need to know where you were last and any buildings nearby that could help jog my memory of any location where you are from. Here you are in Camelot of Avalon."

Joe wakes up well rested the next morning.
