chooses movement to close quickly
Darius rushes the curate on Jones, " Sledge you handle the other one "
Grimoire lashes around the curates neck intending to rend flesh.. the glow of his anger showed greatly
Powerful Mutagen Human Bane Grimoire Whipping: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (16) + 13 = 29
Powerful Mutagen Human Bane Grimoire Whipping Damage: 1d3 + 13 + 2d6 ⇒ (2) + 13 + (6, 3) = 24

            "PERISH!"
Sledge welcomes the other Curate to die.
+2 to hit from fervor.
Pummeling charge
1d20 + 11 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 11 + 2 + 2 = 20
1d10 + 22 ⇒ (1) + 22 = 23

Luckily I have very good rolls.
At least he's flat-footed.

Sledge flattens the remaining Curate before he has time to act.
And as all that's left are a couple of CR 1/2 skeletons who only hit on a 20, we can assume you win. Combat over.
Also Jones is permanently blind, anyone got a fix?

            I ain't no caster.
Let's keep moving while the buffs are still going. Zin, fireballs into the tower?

Jones Shei'lac

Of all the 3rd level extracts I didn't think I would need...
"Well...this is unfortunate."
Jones takes out his sword cane, using it as...a cane.
"I'm afraid I cannot fight in this condition. I do have one Invisibility extract prepared. Perhaps I should use it to hide until the area is clear. Then we can return to the Lodge and ask around for someone who can cure me."

Rynjin

Kind of surprising that nobody in the party has ANY of the three spells needed here. I thought for sure Zin had Dispel Magic, but no dice. You need someone who can cast that, Remove Curse, or Remove Blindness/Deafness.
Rhakis might be able to help you out, if you go find him. He did display some healing magic earlier.

Jones Shei'lac

I haven't exactly been tripping over formula books with Remove Blindness/Deafness. Though I could use Paragon Surge > Blind-Fight as a temporary solution to combat.

Darius Ral'algul

Condition removal is not exactly my forte, we in general are no your standard group of problem solvers, I just usually plan on not failing the save. Jones could have used Inspiration on his save just to be sure. The closet thing I could do would be Surmount Affliction but they changed how it works now.

Darius Ral'algul

Another thing is we don't know if Rhakis could heal him unless the GM is giving us a ' you totally know this will work ' nod. All of us but Sledge can heal.. none of us can remove this effect. how strong of a spell have we even seen him cast?

Rynjin

He cast Cure Serious on one of his buddies. OOC knowledge has a chance (a single chance, it's his last level 3 spell slot) to remove the Blindness with Dispel Magic. He has better than even chances of removing it, though a below average roll on the check would leave Jones blinded.

Darius Ral'algul

Well Zin could cast Blessing of Fervor again I suppose, we can go see.
Darius growled, ofcourse there would be complications. " Your best bet is to go and see if Rhakis can fix you. Though he may well not have the capability. Someone grab Jones so he doesnt lag behind blind. "

Jones Shei'lac

Jones smirks in Darius's general direction. "I will need a guide, of course, but I assure you I won't need to be dragged along. I'm certain my reflexes are fast enough that I can keep up my usual pace without tripping."
I auto-succeed at the DC 10 Acrobatics check to move at full speed.

You arrive just as one of Rhakis' men is putting his sword througha Curate's throat.
"Excellent, excellent!" he shouts and everyone feels their Morale briefly increase.
He turns around to greet you.
"Friends? What is the matter? I had not expected to see you again so soon."

Darius thumbs over to the blind Jones, " Seems one of us has been stricken with a case of blindness. I was wondering if you had anything for that. "

Rynjin

            "Maybe. Was it a spell?"
Assuming you affirm that it is:
Dispel check: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
Rhakis stretches out his hand and a purple bolt leaps form it to Jones' eyes. The evil magic obscuring his vision is obliterated, restoring his sight.
"Make sure not to get into any more trouble. I don't have any more of those."

Darius Ral'algul

Darius huffed, giving a nod, " Ofcourse I wouldn't encourage it either. We are about to Siege the tower, if our group hasnt come back in 5 to 10 minutes assume we have failed and your group will need to clean up, likely the enemy would have used the more dangerous resources by then. "

Jones Shei'lac

Jones blinks a few times and rubs his eyelids.
"Thank you, Rhakis." he says somewhat sheepishly. "I will certainly be more careful in the future."
He puts the cane away. "Shall we press onward?"

Darius Ral'algul

            Do this, let's
" Of course. "
Darius moves the group to the tower entrance, if there is an unlocked door or similar, he propositions it be opened and a fireball be launched into whatever room.. after it is checked of traps and whatnot first.

"Get ready, boys."
Sledge kicks the door.
Pummeling charge, fervor for attack.
Checking for 1s: 4d20 ⇒ (8, 10, 1, 9) = 28

            Sledge crumbles the stone door.
Inside is...an empty room. The first floor appears to be completely unoccupied.
The door to the adjacent building opens and out steps a clearly undead creature in robes, flanked by four more that look a lot like her.
Kn. Religion, please.
Upon the destruction of the door, eight skeletal archers appear on the balcony overlooking you as well.
The robed undead makes a "bring it on" gesture at the rest of you from 80 feet away.

I'll work on it a little bit later, yes.
These are Wights, undead creatures who inflict negative levels with every hit, and any creature that dies from it rises as one of them.
The one in robes is a much more powerful Dread Wight.

With a phrase Darius rushes in 20 ft and then readies a spell on the Dread Wight. A holy corona covering his form as he invoked the power of Sarenrae to shield him.

I'm really really holding back from imagining the whole group of undead to come out with robes shouting " Wight Power! Wight Power " to which Jones' 'lesser wight' comment is even funnier

            Sledge, the robe is brown.
The robed undead...does not cast a spell.
She focuses on Jones, a mere 20 feet away, and LAUNCHES herself at him in a flying kick, then unleashes a brutal flurry of fists and knees the nimble Jones manages to dodge...all but one.

Jones take 12 damage and one Negative Level.
Then the next Wight charges in.
