Wow, so many posts.
Anyway, sorry about vanishing again. Got a cold and missed a day of work. So was scrambling there for a bit. But hopefully I will be posting more regularly, and not getting more colds!

We appear to be down to 6. I have sent a PM to a player who expressed interest in playing in on of my campaigns. If he is NOT interested, should I recruit from the submissions in the first recruitment or keep it at 6?
BTW, in response to Alicarus' I/C statement, I am not handwaiving damage from the prior day. If you are injured the HP should still be down less any natural healing that took place overnight or magical healing.

DM Vengeant |

Pelleas - Tiefling Alchemist,
Cole - Strix Vigilante
Alicarus - Assimar Inquisitor
Alexander - Human Necromancer
Castiel - Aasimar Bard
Hel - Human Zen Archer Monk
Certainly an interesting mix. No true frontliner and no true dedicated healer but with the Bard, Inquisitor, and Alchemist healing should not be an issue.

From the original submissions, Mjolbeard89 - Kaolith the Collector - Elf Alchemist (Preservationist), was a submission I liked a lot.
I also liked Edelsmirge - Theodorpheus Ruxsbin - Sorcerer (fey/serpentine)tattoo archtype - Kitsune.
Finally, maybe the best fit would be: Jing the Bsndit - Jing Delfuer - Fighter (Unbreakable) - Catfolk.
The last two play in multiple games I run and post pretty consistently and are very good players! The first one I am not familiar with.

The Wyrm Ouroboros |

Jing Delfuer
Kaolith the Collector
Unfortunately, Teddy Ruxpin no longer has a character profile or post.

Cole Sungazer |

Like I already said once, I'm okay with either or. I believe all of them were also ones that I thought were interesting, but didn't immediately jump on me when the original recruitment was running. So whatever you decide is fine with me.
I do actually remember Kaolith from a recruitment I was running for a different game. I liked him there too, but I'm not sure we need two alchemists, though they are very different builds and concepts.

I'm fine with keeping it at six folks--that's the sweet spot for PbP in my experience/opinion, where you've got a solid mix of characters and players but it isn't too many to keep track of or keep things moving, generally speaking. I'm also fine with new people coming in though, and I don't really have any preference on that.

F. Castor has agreed to fill the 7th and final slot for the group.
He should have his submission together soon enough to join the group in the next task.

Dot.
Hello guys. Glad to be here. :-)
The character is a melee-oriented Unchained Monk, seeing as you could probably use a frontliner sort of guy. And here he is.
Although not exactly driven by patriotism, he nevertheless considers himself a son of Cheliax, especially taking into account his upbringing and his never knowing his real parents. And even if that were not the case, the challenges awaiting him in his country's service, challenges that can only lead to his improving himself and his skills and abilities, would still be incentive enough. That and he probably quite enjoys a good fight.
Basically, with the monk being kinda sorta annoyingly MAD, I thought to take a page out of Hel's and Argog's books and try a customized human sort of thing. So I used the Blood of Dragons trait as inspiration and ran with it, making the guy having a bit of dragon blood in his ancestry (though he is not fully aware of it, just that he is different) that in his case manifested in a greater way than usual. As for the Warded Against Nature drawback, a watered down and flavorful version of a dragon's frightful presence.

Storyteller Shadow |

... clearly the 'Dragon-Blooded' are offshoots of the Pyure ... ;)
When I see Dragon Blooded I always think of the Exalted White Wolf game.

Updates tomorrow during the day. The rest of the weekend I will be spending time with my wife for our anniversary. I will be back online Sunday or Monday night.

DM Vengeant |

I think we may have lost our Necromancer.
I think I'll stick to 6 here just to keep things moving forward a bit quicker.

DM Vengeant |

I'll give one more night and day for a few others to chime in due to the long holiday weekend.

DM Vengeant |

I'll let Corven respond before I move on, as he was not with you I don't want to assume he will just travel with you ti the Gods know where! :-)

DM Vengeant |

I have a brutal day at work, then a wake to attend for one of my D&D table top players that died :-( , then I am running that same D&D table top game tomorrow night.
Updates on Saturday evening where we will finally arrive once more at the Ash House.

Hel Blackfist |

Blech. I wouldn't suppose there's a way to get our grubby hands on masterwork weapons ... well, not me, still out of reach with only 200gp.

DM Vengeant |

I think that some of the other folks also got Gold, perhaps take a loan from one of them :-)
You could also try to steal one from a smith... of course if you get caught that would be an issue or would it!

Pelleas Markov |

I'd probably ask Cole how he feels about that first. That sword looks pretty sharp.
...Get it? 'Cause you said coal, but his name is... yeah. Heh.
I hope you all had a Merry Christmas (or whatever different holiday you celebrate that happens to fall during this very short window of time at the end of the year, you know), and have a good New Year's as well.

Hel Blackfist |

Heh. "Happy Local-Variant-Of-Winter-Solstice-Celebration Day!" ;)

Castiel Vasago |

I vote we stick together in groups that split up but coincidentally meet at the same locations at the same time and act as one unit :) but are totally and completely separate!
sorry, being a smartaleck because my vote doesn't count since i'm the last voter

Damn you Dragon!!! :-)

Storyteller Shadow |

Well, you weren't, but it's a GM annoyance to split the party, so ... I would've voted for sticking together anyhow. :P :)
Splitting the party is fine by me, my Vampire game is often 13 mini games within one game:-)

Pelleas Markov |

A. Holy sh*t, thirteen mini-games at once? You're a dedicated man, Shadow. Of course, maybe that's why I'm in three different games you're running.
B. To anyone interested, I've just opened up a recruitment thread for my Kingmaker game here on the boards. I don't guarantee anyone spots, but if you're interested in it drop in and let me know. I give out "friends and family" discounts for people I'm playing with in other games as I know your style and like gaming with you, so you've got a better shot at getting in. Do make sure to let me know where you're coming from, though, as I might not actually recognize your username.

Storyteller Shadow |

Dammit meant to update this last night, will pit stop in morning and get us rolling here again...

The Wyrm Ouroboros |

Heh. Running a Mythic Kingmaker of my own just now. Which has 18 players running 2 characters and a handful of followers each ... and which will eventually break up into at LEAST 13 mini-games ... ;)

The Wyrm Ouroboros |

Oh, it's already going. :) I'm in particular looking forward to the point (far, far down the road) where they realize that at the root of the Emerald Spire is an entity that can assist their cause ... and then go there and blow through the thing in order to talk to it.
(Yes, I may well run some of them through a modified/enhanced Emerald Spire superdungeon, where the entity at the bottom is one of the greater beings, not the lesser.)
