Back from no-internet holiday location.
Made it back to civilization after all *lol*
Will catch up in the week to come.
Zadira
Nope.
Zadira
So we need a heal spell to get out of this, right? No way are we getting a wish, limited wish, or miracle. Do the paladins have the heal spells we need, or should we be rolling up new characters to come into the dungeon to save ourselves? :)
Simon Blue-Eye
Haha, that sounds funny.
Not sure what our new people think about doing a new guy just in-game minutes after joining the game *lol*

Unfortunately, I gave up spells for other abilities and none of them affect Feeblemind yet. At least one of us has passed the save so far, so I could at least heard the cats (so to speak) out of the dungeon, but that could be a long trip back to civilization...

Isn't there a scene in a famous book about a single seeing person leading a rather large group of blind people ...? ;-)
Zadira
If we have to roll up new characters, you should let us go full gestalt rather than the halfway stuff, so we will be the superheroes we need. :)
GM Choon
Well what would you guys prefer? I have the resources in the book to capture you right now, I'll tell you that. Do you guys want to roll new characters?
I could attack you when you're weak and drive any who made the save off and capture those who didn't, thus allowing harkon and Jester (if he makes it) to not make a new character just minutes into the narrative.
Or I could not and you guys go on a little side quest for some spell casting services.
I'm fine with either.
Zadira
Side quest sounds fine to me. If there is a way to get out of this without rerolling, that definitely takes less effort. I just don't know how much we'll be able to really help. :)
I'm okay with rerolling too though if that is what everyone wants to do. New characters can always be interesting.

Then I will risk that destination over going all the way back to civilization. Now if we could just get one more PC to pass their save, that would be nice...really, it would.

I was really hoping I could lean on the Jester to corral the group along for this side trek to bring them near the Oracle as I think his talents will lend well to such a task, but in the interest of moving things along, I can try using a couple of light spells cast on a ball or something (look, pretty sparkly, come with me and we can play). Harkon does not spend much time around young folk...
Simon Blue-Eye
@Harkon: Haha, that will work for Simon, thats for sure :-)

Playing someone else for a while could be interesting. I have a particular Ghoran I play in another gestalt game, that might fit the bill. Or maybe I raise my Zen Archer to gestalt - could be interesting as well... oh, the possibilities!
Maybe Harkon does only manage to get some of us out, while the others are snatched - aka people who want to chnage chars for a bit have their chars being captured, the rest of the party get away, get healed and then search for help and return for round 2 and some honest rescue action?
Vuzi Ognok
I'm fond of this creepy half orc, and I'm interested to see how my necromancy and Harkon and Grelthe, if she's still with us after any character changes, can find a way to work together.
Especially since Vuzi doesn't see anything wrong with raising an undead army to go before us and fight our battles.
Zadira
Maybe our old characters can become part of Vuzi's undead army. :D I mean, they are practically zombies already. :)

I was following this game before I joined and I actually liked many of the characters that comprise the party, however, I freely admit I missed the necromantic bent on Vuzi. I did not intentionally make an antagonistic character toward any party member...I just figured there are a lot of undead and an undead disposal specialist would be beneficial. I blame the multiple games I was watching before a spot opened...
Harkon will come around as he sees the undead working for the group and not against...
Simon Blue-Eye
Got myself two days off work to chill through my release date anniversary.
Will likely be busy gaming with my wife and eating pizza ;-)
My pbp time will likely be limited until next week.
Grelthe
Grelthe is surprisingly okay with the necromancy - since she isn't enslaving their souls it's fine. Her God doesn't have any specific problem with it.
I personally hate making new characters. (I know, I know, why did I sign up for "the dungeon of graves" lol) I have a couple back up concepts, but nothing concrete.
- rogue/magus
- monk/cleric (Irori)
- cleric (Erastil?)/something naturey like druid or ranger
Grelthe
If we made new ones, would they be our current level (7/3) or starting level (4/2)?
Zadira
Isn't our current level 8/4?
Grelthe
Oops, nope I did level to 8, just forgot to change the number.
Vuzi Ognok
I’ll keep Vuzi because I really like her.
Simon Blue-Eye
I think I'd be up for a change under the premise that "Simily will return... eventually"
:-)
Considering that we already have two paladins, I guess I'll go with my ranged option.
So, I'd have Amari make a guest visit to the dungeon of graves.
What are the rules on equipment for bringing him up to speed?
And for story ...
Guess he is still working for the Shadows / Al'Fahd order and was sent to ...
a) fetch some powerful artefact tho play around with by the Elders.
b) hunt down some evildoing baddy that escaped the shadows before. So settling the score being the name of the game.
c) payback an old debt he/his order owes to one of the missing adventurers?
d) ...?

Okay folks, what is our plan here? As players, not PCs...
Zadira
Seems like it is your plan, man. You are the only one not mentally challenged as a character right now. If nothing happens/works, then new characters can jumpstart it, but I think we are waiting on you to make your attempt to see if that is even necessary. If we have to build new characters, then game on hold until we all have time to do that... but you are the way to avoid that.
Grelthe
The GM has said twice it is up to us if we want to play as new characters or keep the old, he will "work narrative magic" to make it happen. So I think they are waiting on US.
I definitely like playing as Grelthe, so I would like to try to save the character somehow... but I have also been working on a new temporary character in case we decide to go that direction. (Unfortunately we can't just make a new character with access to heal, since you have to be level 11 to get 6th level spells.)
Simon Blue-Eye
So, I think I am the only one who would be go for a chat swap as it seems?
Guess Simon and Emily are making a stand while Harmon ushers everyone else out or something like that?
Would give the others a very good reason to come back and search for me-yesyes?
Simon Blue-Eye
I'd be good either way.
For dramatic and story purposes, I'd step up if no one else wants to change characters for some time.

Say 24 hours to decide? I am taking family to a nearby voyage, but returning tomorrow night. I can post at the time based on which way the group leans...
Zadira
I think I am just going to retire the character, and the game. This seems like a good stopping point for me. I guess I have to admit that Rappan Athuk finally got me.
It's been fun playing with you guys, and thank you Choon for the exciting times. :)

Zadira was a very flavorful character, I will lament the missed opportunity to adventure together.
In other news, I have returned from the chauffeur service. Do we have a consensus on going forward with current PCs or crafting a new party? In either case, Harkon is duty bound to make the attempt to recover you all from this danger.
GM Choon
It is decided. Harken and save Grethle and Vuzi, but can't quite get the cats out in time. The Jester and Zadira are also captured. I'll get to work on the post, but I probably can't have it up until tomorrow.
Simon, go ahead on your replacement.
I'm also going to do an XP count when I get the time. You all have passed several big encounters, so I want to make sure we're still level 8/4. I think we are, but still.
Simon Blue-Eye
@Choon: Nice. I got a couple of questions for the replacement. Could you check out the spoiler here and get back to me? Thanksies.
Zadira
Hey Choon, if you don't mind, can you move my character to "former characters" or whatever it is called on the Character tab? I think that will take it off my current campaign list, which would help me with juggling all my other games.
I apologize for popping back in, and sorry if I am disturbing the game. I just didn't want to ghost... I hate it when people do that, so I wanted to tell you guys, and I want to get it off my campaign list so I don't keep dragging it out.
