Victor Mordenheim |
"Cute."
With a smirk, Victor checks the southern door for traps (Perception 30), then (assuming that there are none), opens it to explore the corridor beyond.
EDIT: Since it looks like we will pass Area 15 anyway, I guess we should take a look in there on the way south ;-)
Bambang Kuwatputra |
Bambang smiles in appreciation at Fyssaryx for her concern. "It seems we managed to get through that encounter unscathed. Except for my spirit beast, but the wounds aren't permanent." Bambang briefly concentrates and dismisses the spirit eagle into etheric mists. He then turns to follow Victor's lead.
Yup, area 15 it is. Can Bambang use the ring of swimming? Because of his armor, he would have about 70% chance of drowning in calm water. :)
Wei Tchak |
"Unhurt thank you. " no objections here if Bambang uses the ring of swimmming should we encounter water
DM Amazing Red |
A strange blue fungus covers the walls, ceiling, and pillars of this waterlogged chamber. Its wispy strands stretch out from the wall like roots dangling in the air, twitching and swaying in an unseen breeze. Floating in the water are four decaying corpses-three large rats and one decaying frog, all with strange burn marks over their bodies.
Nature?
Bambang Kuwatputra |
He spots the corpses, and notes especially the burn marks. Suspecting the mysterious fungus might have something to do with it, Bambang examines them from a distance.
Knowledge(Nature): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
Bambang Kuwatputra |
"Halt!" Bambang calls out, trying not to raise his volume too high and inadvertently setting out the fungus. In a lower tone, he explains, "I have come across this in my travels. They are known as Azure Fungus. They are very sensitive to touch, and will release large discharge of electricity. That would explain the burnt corpses. Intense would render them insert, however. I say we don't risk it, though. Let's detour around this room from where we faced the giant frogs."
DM Amazing Red |
This large chamber is partially flooded, with the south end just barely rising out of the stagnant water. A large wheel is set into the floor of the dry area, attached to chains that rise up into the ceiling. A thick layer of slick black mold covers the walls of this chamber. Four skeletons rise up from the water and attack!

Without hesitation, Bambang draws his make-shift club and smashes it at the skeleton that has suddenly risen beside him. He notes how apt it is to use it against this enemy.

Bambang's axe misses but Fyss's club does not and she smashes the skeleton next to her. The remaining skeletons attack!

Bambang stows away the skeletal thigh bone, and pulls out his wand. Expending a charge, he wills some healing energy into Tchak.

"Thank you for the healing and the skeleton demise as well." He takes a femur from the fallen skeleton. "I'm going to be prepared if we run into these again!"

Sorry I completely missed that Fyssaryx was injured.
Bambang realises that Fyssaryx was also injured. He pulls out the wand and expends a healing charge on her.

The corridor opens up into a winding catacomb. The walls are skillfully carved with deep recesses where bodies might have been lain. All that remains now are cobwebs, dust, and the tattered remains of ancient clothing. The stench of rotting flesh is overpowering here and the source soon makes itself evident as four shambling undead appear out of hiding.

These are plague zombies. Rather than the usual resistance to non-slashing weapons these zombies explode upon destruction exposing those adjacent to the disease they carry.

With that said, Bambang takes a step back and once again, draws upon the spiritual forces within his pendant to draws forth a celestial pony to fight on his side.

If I'm not wrong, Fyssaryx is down to 1 hp? She took 8 damage from the previous zombie attack?
Bambang steps away from the zombies. He gets ready for his teammate to be near him to cast cure wounds. Meanwhile, the celestial pony continues its attack on the same target.
Move action sheathe axe. Standard action ready action to cast CLW on Fyssaryx when she passes by for 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 hp. If I'm wrong about Fyssaryx hp situation, then Bambang would instead heal Victor instead.

Pony's job was to hold off two of the zombies while the party cleared off the rest. It is unlikely to last through the next round. I'm assuming that Fyssaryx would go around to attack yellow zombie, as I think she has enough movement left.
