(Just as a note: when charging, I do not provoke an AoO from my target per the "Ride-by-Attack" Feat that I am using. If you want to do so since I shouldn't have been able to charge per the rule you pointed out to me, I am okay with this. Just wanted to give you a head's-up for the future.)
Heh. That's actually what I was reading the charge rules for. My apologies, I haven't done much mounted combat before. So you're still at full health.

Irina Moretskya |

GM, for clarity, please post who is next to act in your update posts. It's getting to be a long scroll to look back to see who should be going next.
Irina waves her hand at the elemental in front of her, hexing it to be clumsy in avoiding attacks.
Evil eye -2 to AC for nine rounds. Will DC 18 to reduce to one round. Then she flies down and around to N8.

Gliressa Arajdniel Narathir |

Round 4, Initiative 19
Buffs: +1 TWD, +3 Fighting Defensively AC: 23 HP: 43/43
MA: Acrobatics to avoid AoO and get right up on him, drawing weapons during move
SA: Intimidate on top of my Bluff, trying to get him to just leave
Acrobatics 1: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (17) + 12 = 29
Acrobatics 2: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (17) + 12 = 29
DC20 (10+HD+WIS) Intimidate (used a Hero Point after the roll): 1d20 + 12 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 12 + 4 = 22
As Rhane thunders by and takes a huge chunk out of the elemental, Glee takes advantage of its pain and distraction to execute two hands-free cartwheels, drawing her short swords at the completion of the second one and standing with the blades in a fighting posture, a threatening gleam in her eye, and she again yells an Intimidating threat in the creature's native Ignan.
"Iy' kaa? Iy' rorryd arar ryd 'k, 'ryma 'a kdnyga od 'ymm! Maora ry'! Nad'nr dy dra aondr orj vyna vnyz 'rarra iy' roza cavyna Y kga'an iy'n zymdar raond orj mad zi ryzkoryyr n'r iy' vmod 'ydr ryk rynka!"

Mayve Tearwrought |

Round 4, Initiative 11 AC 21/14/17 HP 43/43
Fort +8, Ref +9, Will +11
Mage Armor: 1 hour; Fly: 1 rd/3 minutes
I like using a header like this one, it allows the DM to keep track of order, and when the DM announces next turn, everyone can post their actions and just increase the round number. Not to mention the DM has ready access to the most important battle statistics.
Mayve cast unprepared combatant for round 3, I don't see a response on that, here is the relevant spell data:
Duration 1 minute, DC 17 will save negates, SR:yes. The target takes a –4 penalty on initiative checks and Reflex saves.
Mayve will continue flying overhead, she will activate detect magic to see if her spell hit, i not, she casts it again.

Sevram Septimus |

Round 4
Buffs: Enlarged +2 strength, -1 to hit, -1 AC, Large size AC: 19 HP: 35/74
Sevram gets caught by the fire after the creatures attack, enraged he drops his shield and taking his falcata with both hands strikes at it with all his strength before taking a step back.
Attack 1 1d20 + 13 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 13 - 2 = 17
Damage 1 2d6 + 7 + 1 + 6 ⇒ (5, 2) + 7 + 1 + 6 = 21
Attack 2 1d20 + 8 - 2 ⇒ (12) + 8 - 2 = 18
Damage 2 2d6 + 7 + 1 + 6 ⇒ (3, 6) + 7 + 1 + 6 = 23
Reflex Save 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
I could use some healing here!
Drop shield as a free action, Full Attack using power attack with the falcata gripped with both hands, then a 5-foot step back

Irina Moretskya |

Elemental 1 also needs to make a Will save versus the AC reducing evil eye hex. Nine rounds duration on a fail, one round on a pass.
Next round, Irina moves to within twenty feet away from elemental 2 and lobs a tanglefoot bomb at it.
Touch attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
Reflex save DC 17 or be stuck to that spot; entangled either way (-2 to attacks; -4 to Dex)

T'zay Sshi'aah |

Round 4, Init: 15
Buffs: DR 10 (Fire), Guidance; AC: 14, T: 12, FF:14
HP: 77/80
Moving from F4 to K5 by way of H6 and J6
Attacking Elemental 1, discharging Guidance
Attack: 1d20 + 11 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 11 + 1 = 31
Damage: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Seeing the creature immobilized T'zay circles around and, with a fearsome roar, plunges his spear deep into its rocky hide.

DM aLittleTooQuiet |

~Academy
Sevram and the elemental dance the great dance of deadly combat, ducking, weaving, and attacking in a delicate balance for a few moments before the elemental roars in agony as Sevram deals a pair of devastating attacks against it.
Hot, glowing lifeblood leaks from the open wounds, quickly hardening into rocky scabs in the cooler air.
T'zay quickly follows with another attack, his seemingly primitive spear unharmed by the creature's molten body.
E1 HP:27/85
AC: 15
Elemental attacks 1-2 Sevram, 3 T'zay 1d3 ⇒ 3
The elemental retaliates against T'zay, swinging a massive, rocky fist at him.
E1 attack vs T'zay 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19
E1 damage vs T'zay 2d6 + 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (3, 3) + (8) + 6 = 20 12 bashing, 8 fire damage, dc16 reflex or burn for 1d4 ⇒ 4 rounds.
Sevram Take 1d8 ⇒ 4 fire damage, 2 rounds to go.
Mayve, flying safely overhead, once again harnesses the arcane power of her wand to weaken the foe, leaving the elemental noticeably unprepared for combat.
E1 save vs Unprepared Combatent 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Wow, is it tough to come up with a word to describe a creature's state when it's hit with Unprepared Combatant that doesn't have a specific meaning in the Pathfinder rules!

DM aLittleTooQuiet |

~The Inn
The elemental, still shaken from Glee's tales of the group's fearsome prowess, rears back and slams towards Rhane, but Misha, ever the worthy steed, anticipates and sidesteps the attack, leaving Rhane with only a warm sensation as the creature's attack whizzes by.
E2 attack vs Rhane 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17
Irina floats overhead and lands a tanglefoot bag squarely upon the creature, but its otherworldly strength and fiery aura overcomes the sticky, alchemical goo.
E2 reflex 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18

Rhane Far-Reach |

Round 4, Initiative 9
Ride Check for Fast Dismount (DC 20, if successful, free action):1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 27
(Okay, so it's successful. Dismounting, then five-foot adjusting next to E2 at AG/6, then performing attack w/ +1 Adamantine Greatsword. I think that the two "free" actions would mean that I have used a move action, so I will only make one attack roll. If I am incorrect and can make a full attack, let me know and I will roll the second attack.)
+1 Greatsword Attack: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (13) + 14 = 27
Hit: 2d6 + 8 ⇒ (3, 2) + 8 = 13
Seeing that the uneven terrain could be disastrous to his steed's health, Rhane snares his sword from it's sheath by his saddle and vaults over Misha's head. He uses the momentum from his vault to carry himself into a low roll under the Elemental's blows and comes up sword first, driving it deep into the creature before him.
Misha snorts and sidesteps away, out of reach but nearby should Rhane need a quick exit.

Round 4, Initiative 19
Buffs: +1AC TWD, +1AC TWW +3AC Fighting Defensively -2 to-hit Fighting Defensively, +2 to-hit Flanking AC:24 HP:43/43
Attack 1: 1d20 + 8 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (4) + 8 + 2 - 2 = 12
Attack 2: 1d20 + 8 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (9) + 8 + 2 - 2 = 17
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
As Rhane dismounts and clobbers the elemental, Glee sighs and grits her teeth. "Okay so maybe this was a dumb plan anyway. Nice shot, Rhane!" The half-elf then attacks with both her magicked short swords, her spinning and graceful combat style obviously inappropriate against such a bruiser of a creature. Nonetheless, she lands one shot on the thing though she barely damages it at all, just nicks its stony hide. Glee quirks an eyebrow at her pitiful damage compared to the mighty rend Rhane caused. "Ugh. Talk about a journey of a thousand steps." she mutters to herself.

Sevram Septimus |

Round 5
Buffs: Enlarged +2 strength, -1 to hit, -1 AC, Large size AC: 19 HP: 31/74
Sevram takes a step towards the elemental and strikes at it with all his might. Go back to whatever hell you came from you damned thing!
Attack 1 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25
Attack 2 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
Damage 1 2d6 + 7 + 1 + 6 ⇒ (4, 6) + 7 + 1 + 6 = 24
Damage 2 2d6 + 7 + 1 + 6 ⇒ (1, 1) + 7 + 1 + 6 = 16

DM aLittleTooQuiet |

Elemental 1 is destroyed. The dark grey patch on the map represents his "corpse", in case it's relevant to anyone.

Gliressa Arajdniel Narathir |

As she dances and jukes to avoid being hit, Glee notices the other elemental go down. "Guys! Um. I know we don't all really exactly know each other, but Rhane and I could sure use some assistance over here if any of you could spare it. Okay, okay, actually, the truth is that I could use some assistance. Rhane seems to be doing fine."

Irina Moretskya |

Irina will level her evil eye on elemental two, hexing it to reduce its AC by 2. Will save DC 17 or be hexed for nine rounds (one round on pass).
Also, even though the elemental saved versus the tanglefoot bomb, it is still entangled, just not rooted to the spot. Thus is the power of the tanglefoot bomb discovery.

T'zay Sshi'aah |

Round 5, Init: 15
Buffs: DR 10 (Fire); AC: 14, T: 12, FF:14
HP: 65/80 (Fire damage reduced to 0)
Reflex save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
Double Move to U5
Grunting under the force of the rocky fist, T'zay watches the large human savage the creature as flames engulf his body. Turning his attention to the other elemental through the cloud of gravelly dust, he lopes across the broken stones to help the others that seem to have been caught up in the fray.

Rhane Far-Reach |

(Gonna go ahead and make my move for this round.)
Ducking and weaving through the creatures burning attacks, Rhane's moves begin to flow together more smoothly as he adjusts his dance to suit the battle before him. As he steps in to launch his counter-attack, he laughs at Gliressa's speech.
"Don't be so-" *swing* -HARD on yourself! You're doing just fine, really. Some things are just- *swing* -TOUGHER than others are.
Attack 1: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (18) + 14 = 32

E2 attack vs Rhane 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (19) + 14 = 33
Damage 2d6 + 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (5, 6) + (4) + 6 = 21 17 bashing, 4 fire
Rhane 2 reflex saves or burn for (1d4 ⇒ 2 1d4 ⇒ 2) 2 rounds!
Sevram take 1d8 ⇒ 8 fire damage.
T'zay take 1d8 ⇒ 6 fire damage.
E2 will vs hex 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
E2 will vs unprepared combatant 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
Irina's magic seems to take hold on the creature, slowing its attacks, however it seems to shake off the effects of Mayve's wand.
Rhane's attacks batter the creature, leaving it clearly wounded. Hot magma seeps through cracks in its rocky flesh, and it struggles to stay in the fight.

Damage 1: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Damage 2: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
"Ahh, you're right, Rhane, of course!" As Irina's magic takes hold and slows her enemy down, Glee executes two precise strikes with her shortswords, each blade hitting home this time and taking a shred of stony flesh with it. "Heh. There we go! The power of positive thinking. And magic. Can't forget magic!"

Damage:1d8 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Heedless of the flames twisting across his scaly hide, T'zay continues his advance across the broken courtyard. Kicking up a spray of gravel and dust he smoothly flips his spear in a reverse grip as he slides to a halt. Cocking back with a vicious battlecry, the big lizard hurls the weapon with brutal accuracy deep into the creature's molten body.

The two projectiles fly true and strike the elemental, dealing blows that would be insignificant if the creature were not in such a sorry state. It reals from the damage and roars, swinging at the targets in range.

Round 6, Initiative 9
Constitution Check to Stabilize: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17 Pass
HP -2/68
Condition: Stabilized (for now).
As the elemental launches a blazing assault upon him, Rhane tries to parry it's blows with his sword - but to no avail. Too many of the creature's blows strike true, and Rhane's strength begins to fail him. He attempts to fight back, but the strength of the beast is simply too much.
When the fury of the elemental subsides, Rhane's body lies unmoving before it.

Irina Moretskya |

Seeing Rhane go down, she quickly casts a spell (fog cloud), conjuring thick fog. She centres the fog so that it obscures Rhane and her own approach, but does not obscure the elemental (or at least, not all of it). Then she flies towards Rhane's position, approaching from behind to keep herself hidden from the elemental.

Gliressa Arajdniel Narathir |

A 23 misses me, actually, I'm currently at AC24. Also, the elemental currently has like 3HP, yes?
"RHANE! NO!" Glee calls out as she twists her torso back and narrowly avoids getting clobbered by one of the elemental's massive burning fists. "Okay you bastard!" she yells at it, "I have had about ENOUGH of you! I TOLD you we would destroy you, and you picked the wrong day to test my prediction!"

Summon small water elemental to bracket the fire elemental.

Gliressa Arajdniel Narathir |

@Mayve: AFAIK, summoning spells all have a one-round casting time, unless you have a way to speed them up? 'Cos that would be mucho awesome.
Round 7, Initiative 19
Buffs: +1AC TWD, +1AC TWW +3AC Fighting Defensively -2 to-hit Fighting Defensively, AC:24, HP:43/43

Damage 1: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Damage 2: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
LOL! Seriously, die roller? Seriously?
Glee, seeing Irina coming in to help Rhane, tries to concentrate on bringing the elemental down so they can focus on helping their new companion. Unfortunately, even though she executes two excellent strikes, both her blades slicing into the thing, she's unable to pierce its stony hide. "Dammit! Someone with more firepower's gonna have to do this! I'm sorry you guys, I guess I'm just not cut out for fighting living rocks." She continues to weave and glide past her opponent's swings as she mutters blackly under her breath.

Sevram Septimus |

Round 7
Buffs: Enlarged +2 strength, -1 to hit, -1 AC, Large size AC: 19 HP: 12/74
Sh*t, Rhane don't you die on me mutters Sevram as he takes aim and shoots another two arrows at the remaining elemental.
Attack 1 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
Attack 2 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Damage 1 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (4, 6) + 4 = 14
Damage 2 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (5, 3) + 4 = 12

Gliressa Arajdniel Narathir |

As soon as Sev's arrow hammers into the elemental and reduces it to rubble, Glee sheathes both her swords, one on each hip, in a single smooth motion. Breathing heavily from exertion, she calls out thanks to the warrior. "Nice shot Sev! Great work, you guys, great work..." Even as she thanks her newfound (she hopes) friends, the half-elf quickly works her way over the rocks and rough ground to Rhane's side. Kneeling down next to him, she speedily wraps him in a blanket from her bedroll and rolls him back and forth, extinguishing the flames on him. She then lifts his head and pulls out one of her healing potions. "Awright, c'mon, Rhane, you don't get out of this that easily. We've got a temporal whatchamajigger to do something about and we're gonna need your help." She pours the magical liquid down his throat and waits for a reaction, waits to see if it's enough.
Rhane, take back 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8 HP.
If it takes more than that to douse the fire on Rhane, just lemme know. I'm assuming these are the usual kinda 'takes a standard round to extinguish' sort of flames.

DM aLittleTooQuiet |

Mayve's water elemental dutifully douses those of you who are burning, glad to rid you of the abhorrent element which renders all things so dry.
The group of you stand in the ruins of the square, the lava flow sputtering to a halt.
You're barely able to keep your feet as you feel a massive tremor, and you hear a slow, grinding crash as one of the city's ancient towers collapses several blocks away, sending a cloud of thick dust up over the buildings, though not much makes it way into the square.
Further in the distance, swirls of clouds and lightning and streaks of fire seem to appear out of nowhere in a clear sky, and disappear just as quickly.

Gliressa Arajdniel Narathir |

Glee takes a moment to clear her head, then looks around at everyone. "Okay. Some of you I've met, some of you not so much. This group doesn't seem to be one really for introductions so I'll just say 'hey'. I'm Gliressa, you can call me Glee if you want." She sort-of waves at everyone. "I'm going to go the white tower. I'm not happy about this, but it appears to be where I need to go, because of this." She holds up her left wrist, displaying a plain bracelet that fits her perfectly. "Rhane has one, too. Anyway, if any of you want to come, I sure wouldn't complain. I don't like being out of cities and I get the feeling I'm gonna have to be in the wilds a lot if I wish to visit the tower, and every bit of help will be quite welcome."
The dark-skinned and athletic half-elf adjusts her pack and looks ruefully to the north, wincing a bit at the strange lightning caroming about the sky, then starts walking in that direction, going slowly so as to avoid falling into any of the recently-appeared fissures and crevices that are around; there appears to be a lot of 'em.

Rhane Far-Reach |

Shaken awake by the tremors, Rhane surveys the area before gently picking himself off of the ground.
Right, that was embarrassing. Note to self: do not go toe-to-toe with something more than twice your size...
As he shakes his head in amusement at his inner dialogue, he catches sight of Gliressa speaking to the group a short ways off, just in time to see her hold up her bracelet. "...and Rhane has one too..."
Ballocks. Well, let's hope that telling these people is the right thing to do, Rhane. I mean, they DID just save your life - so that has to be a little in their favour, right?
Rhane clicks at Misha, who tosses her head and snorts as she falls into step behind him as he approaches the group. He gives Gliressa a reassuring pat as he steps up beside her - but on her pack, not knowing how she feels about personal contact.
"Of course you know I'm with you, Glee. I agree - I don't think either of us would have chose this, but it doesn't seem that we are the ones doing the choosing at this point. And we do seem to work pretty well as a team..."
At this point, his head drops a little bit and he clears his throat in embarrassment.
"...and on that note, to whoever's aid it was that saved my life a few moments ago, I thank you."

Irina Moretskya |

"It was more of a team effort, I believe," Irina says, cackling slightly.
"If what the not-here man said can be believed, our little group is destined to work together to stop something horrible. I think we can guess what the horrible is going to be. If you think heading north to this White Tower is what we need to do, then let's be about it, so the innocent folks can stop being killed by planar incursions, and go back to being killed by rampant disease and brigands like normal."

Mayve Tearwrought |

Extending her arms out, theatrically, Mayve floats to the ground near the others, but stays a few inches above the ground. Bowing to Rhane, "a group effort indeed. Mayve Tearwrought, archaeologist and purveyor of the Academy of Wizards." A hand waves in the general direction of the Academy behind her.
At the mention of the White Tower Mayve gives Irina a quizical look "I've just recently heard of that place, such a coincidence." Rifling through her pack, she pulls out the book they had been discussing earlier and flips through the pages, "yes! Here we go, 'I knew where we were then -- the White Tower. I saw it as I saw everything else laid out in front of me. It wasn't just possible, it was accomplished.'"
Mayve looks at the half-elf walking off "Before your friend heads off for parts unknown, I would offer the hospitality of the Academy. Let us see what else may be known of this White Tower. For I had just returned from an expedition, and could use a bath and some food. Perhaps you also need to prepare for such a journey?"
Mayve tucks the book back into her haversack. Gesturing to her scaled companion, "this is T'zay Sshi'aah, a friend and traveling companion of mine."
