Problem understood Allow me to clarify

The foundling actually has nothing to do with Tristan or his situation it was honestly just one of a few different world building books i and things i put in.

The child in the book is actually Kryas, hence his involvement in this issue with Tristan. Narine removed some kind of curse from him, some curse he was born with.

The foundling is actually several thing's the part relating to you is more supposed to be that the Foundling transformation happens after a certain amount of time, a time you 3 are slowly closing in on.

I'll spend some time tommorow adding all the information to the campaign info section in a clearer way.

Point being for now comment on what you know and understand for certain.

I wanted to discuss something with the two of you whom remain Scarlet has disappeared off the face of the earth, i'm in a game the player is gming as well. we find ourselves unable to contact or even pm the player. so he's out.

That said as we know Baylin is also lost.

How do we want to proceed, we can just end the game here if you guy's want or aren't having fun.

Well, would you be able to insert two new PC's? At least, relatively easily? I'd be up for continuing, but there is literally nothing I can add to the current scene. I would recommend a small time jump (a day or so) to try and re-establish the tone, goals, and other stuff.

Other than that, if you'd like I could PM you about things I felt were clunky or confusing to keep the game smooth and satisfying in the future. Like a delicious snickers bar, or soft-serve ice cream.

I have always thought the best merc company name I could think of would be "The Disproportionate Response." Not sure Brand is the character to propose it lol. He's more the "Team Awesome Mega-Force" type which is not as clever and only funny a few times.

Seriously though given our histories and his love for Abel (father) he is likely to propose "Abel Company." All of us had our start there and are connected to major players because of his connections. That might not be true of the new characters though.

1) bump yourselves to level 2 : it will help keep you on the same level of accomplishment as the new recruits

2) Name for your Mercenary guild thing. or rather a final decision on one.

I'll open a recruitment for this tomorrow sometime, seeing as we have a set up (The talent show) i'll need you two to be paying attention to it as well. Along the way i'll be updating all sorts of information and in general cleaning things and clearing thing's up.

Including adding a new house rule to better work with our no map's situation. I picked it up in one of my other games that also uses no maps.

    Well, it just wouldn't have the same impact to some people who don't know him. In or out of character really. Maybe something more pronoun neutral?

    Alright:

    1- Abel Company- I just like it and it would be nearest Brand's heart even if it is a poor ooc choice.

    2- The Greywater Storm- Its fierce. Its a play on the hometown and a nod to the fact that the Queen is known as Queen of the wind.

    Nearly finished leveling Maria. This level I got:

  • More HP

  • Each point of burn now costs 3 non-lethal HP.

  • Elemental Overflow. An actually kinda neat scaling bonus to attack/damage that goes up with burn, comes with cool visual effects.

  • Skill ranks. Maria grew knowledge of a new language today (Terran).

  • Infusion. Only thing left to decide. Either Extended Range so her blast reaches 120 ft, or Pushing Infusion for the option to bull rush targets hit by Maria's blast. The second option isn't actually all that great, but it sounds fun.

    Question- Hit points this is a max ho level right or are we average every level?

    Biggest bump to Brand is finesse training dex to damage. He also ads Danger sense.

    It seems like there's confusion on what the Scent ability does for us, so imma post the rule here for reference.

    Scent Rules wrote:

    This special quality allows a creature to detect approaching enemies, sniff out hidden foes, and track by sense of smell. Creatures with the scent ability can identify familiar odors just as humans do familiar sights.

    The creature can detect opponents within 30 feet by sense of smell. If the opponent is upwind, the range increases to 60 feet; if downwind, it drops to 15 feet. Strong scents, such as smoke or rotting garbage, can be detected at twice the ranges noted above. Overpowering scents, such as skunk musk or troglodyte stench, can be detected at triple normal range.

    When a creature detects a scent, the exact location of the source is not revealed—only its presence somewhere within range. The creature can take a move action to note the direction of the scent. When the creature is within 5 feet of the source, it pinpoints the source’s location.

    A creature with the scent ability can follow tracks by smell, making a Wisdom (or Survival) check to find or follow a track. The typical DC for a fresh trail is 10 (no matter what kind of surface holds the scent). This DC increases or decreases depending on how strong the quarry’s odor is, the number of creatures, and the age of the trail. For each hour that the trail is cold, the DC increases by 2. The ability otherwise follows the rules for the Survival skill. Creatures tracking by scent ignore the effects of surface conditions and poor visibility.

    The whole auto-detect hiding stuff is pretty sweet.
