Sallandrya Iramine Thainel |

Sallandrya will go forward to keep the forsaken cleric in her sight.
Anselth, on the round I was asking about Silence I did not get to act, so those shots to the evil cleric were from the last round, the same round Tarmin fired thrice.

Salla, you're a round ahead - we're only in round 4. you fired two arrows, then three at the priest, then shifted and fired two more when I said the priest was inside the silence effect. I posted a mid-round result of Tarmin's, Andre's, and Podo's actions which may have thrown you off. I will save your rolls for this round, though.
Edit: I mean we are only now in round four that the bad guys have gone. That was round three just now.

The second swordsman clutches his chest against an arrow, while Andre's opponent flinches away from a wolf which grabs his leg, missing Andre with his sword, the wolf is then speared by the other swordsman. The spearman also takes an illusory arrow to his leg.
The bowman looses two arrows at Sallandrya, trying to draw the attention from his master, though both miss. Lareth makes it to the back corner of the room and points his holy symbol at Sallandrya. Darkness fills her vision, and spreads out from the elf to envelop the room.
Continual darkness. The room is now enveloped in darkness. Salla, make a save vs. spell

Sallandrya Iramine Thainel |

-
Sallandrya locks eyes with Lareth.
And has a Gandalf moment.
'I am a servant of the Seldarine, given grace by the Great Hunter! You have lost Lareth! Your dark and fell false goddess will not avail you, blasphemer! Your time has come!'
Arrows fly seeking the foul cleric's heart
First 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 + 2 = 21

dmg 1d6 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 + 2 = 5
'YOU HAVE LOST!'

Gnobby the Gnome |

Curses, without light, the minions cannot appreciate my illusion and be harmed by arrow or fang.
Gnobby ceases concentration on the illusion, and quietly tries to slip along the wall in the darkness. He uses his right shoulder and hip to hug the right wall and draws his two blades.
Move silently: 1d100 ⇒ 84
Although difficult to see, the gnome is not quiet at all.
He whispers to Podo:
"Sneaken is easier now! Follow me."

Gnobby the Gnome |

CONTINUAL DARKNESS pg 96 PHB
"when this spell is cast, a globe of impenetrable darkness is create. The effects of this darkness, as well as the material component of the spell, are the same as the second level magic-user spell, darnkess 15' radius (cf continual light)
It IS the same as the mages darkness and THUS negates infravision and weapon glows etc...

Andre Girard |

Also, if I'm reading the book right, attacking this guy would be like attacking an invisible opponent, which means I've got a -4 to hit, and I can only attack the general location.
Another of Andre's senses are snuffed as the light disappears from the room. Completely cut off from the front lines, he briefly toys with the idea of a fighting withdrawal, but gives his allies a moment before calling the retreat. He thrusts his blade to where he thought his foe was at, hoping to end another of Lareth's men before he was overwhelmed.
Attack: 1d20 ⇒ 13 minus darkness penalties.
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 8

Tarmin Elinissa |

Tarmin will feel forward until she hits Andre's solid shoulders. Tapping him , she will move him to the left, to give her a clear avenue.
She will then fire her volley of arrows at the last location she knew the enemy soldiers were.
Arrow 1
attack 1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (13) + 3 - 4 = 12
damage 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Arrow 2
attack 1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (5) + 3 - 4 = 4
damage 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Arrow 3
attack 1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (3) + 3 - 4 = 2
damage 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Sir Galavaine of Verbobonc |

Galavaine stands in the darkness and wonders what on earth to do in these circumstances. He is not best placed to fight in this.
"It is a battle of attrition now. Andre hit them hard and we will follow. This is a fight for Gnobby and Podo and they need space to work."

Podo Bumbleroot |

Podo sneaks along the wall slowly towards the evil man's last position.
Magic is good, but it only lasts so long... and I'll have a sharp surprise for him when he shows up.
1d100 ⇒ 56 Move silently (55)

Andre feels the air change as a sword stroke passes harmlessly off to his side. Tarmin and Salla squeeze around to the left, and Gnobby and Podo to the right. The darkness doesn't abate for any of them, but they all hear or feel the battlefield change - their opponents moving cautiously to the south, towards Galavaine and Pettry.

Andre Girard |

"You might be hidden from my sight, villain, but the Cudgeler's chosen will not be so easily swayed from their tasks!" He swings his blade to where he judged his opponent to be, but once again cut nothing but the air in front of him.
Attack: 1d20 ⇒ 12, -4 for darkness
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 5

Gnobby the Gnome |

Gnobby continues his long orbit to take the bad guys from the rear.
He has his two blades ready for another 'surprise'.
Where is all that bravado when Podo and I could use a distraction? Don't paladins brag and verbally duel more than they swing their swords? I am waiting for Andre to say, 'And when our two rogues slip a knife in your backs evil cleric, that is when your evil plans will truly come to an end'

attack andre: 1d20 ⇒ 15
damage: 1d8 ⇒ 2
attack Galavaine: 1d20 ⇒ 13
damage: 1d8 ⇒ 4
CLW: 1d8 ⇒ 2
Andre and Galavaine both fel blows rattle off their shields, but their opponents start to move away, footsteps receding to the south.
Lareth cals out, his voice somewhat strained. "You have shown excellent martial prowess, especially your elves. There is definitely a place for you here, should you want it. If you don't, well, my returning patrols will help me finish you off."
His voice is still north of Sallandrya and Tarmin, west of Gnobby and Podo, though he seems to have moved east somewhat.

Andre Girard |

This paladin thought he was in the silence effect.
Andre's cheeks redden with fury from Lareth's temptation. "There shall be no bartering, villain! Your life has always been forfeit! I will accept your surrender, that you might hang for your crimes!" He relentlessly follows the man to the south, swinging his sword in a wide arc to connect with the foe before him.
Attack: 1d20 ⇒ 4
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 1
I swear, I am the worst paladin ever.

Sallandrya Iramine Thainel |

Sallandrya has gone west and forward attempting to breach the Darkness abd Silence.
She will fire arrows (as previously unused attacks rolled above) if she passes through the inky black barrier.
If the fell cleric is attempting to escape she will cast Command 'Sleep' on him, otherwise fire the arrows at him.

As Gnobby makes his way along the north, he brushes against an armored leg. He freezes briefly, but the person makes no move to engage him, or any other move whatsoever.
Podo notices that he can't hear anything shortly after leaving the wall in the direction of the voice he heard. Thankfully, he feels like he is still moving in his chosen direction.
Tarmin hears her arrows strike stone and clatter to the floor. As Sallandrya moves forward, her foot catches on a body, but she is able to catch herself before falling.
Sir Galavaine and Andre are able to follow the sound of footsteps briefly before they suddenly stop as the person they are pursuing disappears into the area of silence. Searching, Sir Galavaine's shield bumps into another individual, who falls to the ground with an "oof" and muttered curses. The two hear another set of footsteps to their left, and a pair of arrows whistle through the air above where the head of the individual they knocked down would be. Lareth, for his part, remains uncharacteristicly quiet.
