Alathea would be having that same conversation with Jasper as well, I'd guess. The more things change...

true, but jasper wouldn't have folded so fast. Plus he would've used a fireball too big for the situation. :)

So what is the plan.
a) attack the sul'dam/damane's first, and free the aes sedai
b) attack lord sneeds manor for mistress tiedre?
c) something that makes the DM go "huh?"

Alathea looks at Joliar for a long moment, then nods. "This is all what might be, anyway. We are not here to fight these Leashed Ones, not yet. We are here to find Mistress Tiendre. Once she is safe and well, then we will consider how best to release the Sister, and perhaps the others, from their collars."

Alathea is for sneaking into Sneed's manor and finding Mistress Tiendre.

Female Human Seanchan Wilder 2 / Initiate 3 / Aes Sedai 6

As mentioned in my post, I don't think we can sneak in there, without a good chance of alerting the damane. Someone battle channeling will surely alert them. As there are only three pairs, and we have the element of surprise, I think it's safer to try and neutralize them before doing anything else. Plus, we don't know where Tiendre is, but we do know where the Aes Sedai is, and maybe she knows.
Litheene is currently ready to free the Aes Sedai the moment Rhoekk attacks the elder damane's suldam

I agree with Litheene, we would be subjecting ourselves to a great deal of risk if we don;t at least try to neutralize their most potent weapons.

I too agree with Litheene. She makes good points. If we are discovered while attempting the rescue, we will have to deal with enraged and active damane, instead of catching them unaware, as we have them now.

I will get close enough to disable the holder of elderly leashed one, as you have indicated she is both the most likely to side against us, and the most powerful. I will approach under cover and attempt to grab her and knock her unconscious. I will use non-lethal force if at all possible. The warders will follow me in order to provide support, getting as close as they feel they can without alerting our foes. They should be close enough to aid me should my attempt fail, and near enough to engage the guards that may intervene. The Aes Sedai will stay back and shield the other leashed ones, ensuring that we have only steel to contend with. Ideally, this can be done swiftly and silently, and the ire of the guards will not be raised. However, if it is, and the dance approaches fever pitch... Aes Sedai, I understand that you may not use your power to harm mere men, given your oaths, but if you could use it to restrict their potential approaches... I have seen a wall of fire used in such a way, it would aid us greatly. The Asha'man will do what they do, perhaps they can see to manipulating the battlefield. Are there any other elements we should anticipate, or refinements that can be made to this plan?"

None that come to my mind. The plan seems a good one, given the extent of what we know. We need only determine who will link with whom and then be ready to proceed.

are we handling linking as in the rulebook? If I am reading this correctly there seems to be no advantage whether the circle is two strong or six strong. Up to that point, any number linked only nets a +1. If that is the case, since there are 5 of us channelers (unless Jolial wished to link, which I assume not, lol) one of us may as well remain free?

I will stay next to my Aes Sedai to guard her unless ordered otherwise, not sure what else to do as this will apparently be a Power battle.

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

We should set clear goal to victory then. In any battle, lines of withdrawl to regroup need to be set before going into action lest things go badly. Perhaps you Ashaman can just kill and cast fire and tear up earth, but the Aes Sedai will not channel to kill unless in defense. We have no idea how many troops are nearby, but perhaps the Lord Dragon would be very interested in these lightening legged users of the power. This is either sedition or a prelude to invasion. Has anyone weighed the risk to the Mistress we seek to rescue; can this be done quietly? The clash of arms, explosioins and sounds of the dying are far from quiet.

Looking at that map, we may have to reconsider. With that many guards our chance of pulling this off without it escalating are minimal. The guards would be stupid not to sound an alarm, and then it's just a full scale battle. I think the only way it could work would be (other than a perfect set of rolls) would be to go around and silently eliminate the guards one by one. That's a lot of guards, and a lot of encounters that could go wrong, but it is still more possible than attacking the suldam/damane first.

Long and short, I'm switching sides and voting we go after the innkeeper first.

Female Human Seanchan Wilder 2 / Initiate 3 / Aes Sedai 6

We only need to worry about the guards at the back, near the training area. Until the ones from the front arrive, they can be separated by a ward again people. Even if all of them charge on the first round, they are 11. we still have the surprise round, and we are 12.
I doubt it's possible to eliminate more than 2-3 gaurds before the rest notice us.
Sneaking past them and going after the inkeeper is an option, but that means that: Alathea, I, Jasmine, Tesliin and Failian can't channel to fight. Failian can still fight without the power, however we still lose 4 people, and 5/7 of our channeling force.
We also have the option of regrouping, and preparing disguises (inverted weaves), to try and sneak in without battle.

In case we do attack, Litheene has her arms of air readied for either Rhoekk's attack, or the damane noticing the approach.
Next rounds initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17. If the damane are incapacitated on the surprise round, Litheene will weave a ward against people to seal off as little guards as possible inside with the attacking party, and tie it off. If not, I'll select the action depending on situation

If the others are in favor of going after the inkeeper, then we need to decide how we approach Sneed's mansion. We can also split, and have a stealth group try to sneak in, while the rest cover them in case Jareen's men intervene.

Male Ogier Noble 4 Wanderer 4 Armsman 1 Master Treesinger 2 - 101/101 HP | 2 Free Re-Rolls

I am with Litheene here I think we should stick to the original plan, it is unlikely we can rescue Mistress Tiedra without being discovered, they are after all expecting us to do that. I would prefer to do the unexpected.

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

Still, for the Lord Dragon the Tyrant, we should find out who they, are, how many they are; and their intentions. Has the White Tower ordered any decree about such chained Aes Sedai? it seems an abomination that must be ended.

Alathea sighs. "I am unaware of any proclamation from the White Tower, although it has been long since I've been there. Furthermore, such information would be unlikely to be given to one such as myself." She shakes her head and continues. "I cannot imagine, though, that the White Tower would look upon the capture of Sisters as acceptable, nor do I wish to do nothing to help these Sisters. But I still believe that we stand more chance to succeed if we do one thing at a time. We can address the capture of these Sisters after we rescue Mistress Tiendre, assuming that we do not encounter them in our attempt to do so. Rhoekk is correct; caution must be taken."

Alathea is still in favor of rescuing Mistress Tiendre without alerting the sul'dam and the guardsmen, but she'll go along with the other option if necessary.

We could try to see what else there may be to learn. However I suspect still that they are working together and any attack on one will draw notice of the other. If we were going all out it would be just as well to get the Aiel to do it. Don't get me wrong, I'm spoilin' for a rumble, but in character it makes a lot more sense. Either the Red Guards, as this stems from a kidnapping, or the Aiel in general as the Seanchan are an enemy state inside our borders, and represent a genuine threat. The Car'a'carn would assuredly agree with such a use of force. We could still act as point in order to infiltrate and take down the channellers before the main force engages. That being said, we have a force of Red Guards on standby, so why don't we do just that? Send them a quick note that says if full scale fighting breaks out, they are to rush in immediately.

Either way, I'm eager to be at it. Rizzen, are we waiting for something?

Not a bad suggestion but can even the Red Guards handle a half dozen channelers? Especially ones who have no hesitation at killing living beings? I agree it is a good back-up plan but I think it is up to us to bring down the channelers before our troops mix it up with house security. Presuming that the rolls Rizzen made a while back were not us being discovered...

Rhoekk will slip away again and meet up with the present leader of our Red Guard backup. He will inform him of the plan; that there are channelers of the one power present, and that we are going to disable them. They are to stand ready, and join the dance as soon as any battle breaks out. If no obvious battle occurs, they are to remain hidden.

He'll then sneak back and let the others know all is ready. He'll then sneak to R19/20 (or R20/21 depending on which way they are walking, clockwise or counter-clockwise), hiding in the shrubs.

He'll take 10 on Stealth and Perception.
Stealth: 10 + 26 = 36
Perception: 10 + 15 = 25

He'll then wait for the elder Damane and her Suldam to cross to T20, and then pounce.

i had to figure out all aspects before posting, so i apologize for the delay. Rhoekk, Your previous posting doesnt happen, unless you wish for it to based off of what you read below.

The single peel of a bell being hit sounds off from across in Jareen's property. A second peel, then a third, flare up, stopping your conversation in mid breath. Looking out the window, you see a lone guardsman pointing at the house with one hand, his other hand begins to shake something at his belt that glitters in the midafternoon light. A second ringing picks up from a different spot on the roof. A guardsman shaking and pointing. A third. A fourth. Five, six, seven. 7 guardsmen pointing and shaking, bringing attention to the ruin where you all stand right now.

The Damane and Sul'dam, upon hearing the bell ringing, begin to head to the rear entrance that they had previously used earlier. The Aes Sedai damane, cringing with every step in pain; her hands suddenly fly up to her neck, feeling for the first time in a long time, a neck without a collar on it. The sul'dam looks at the Aes Sedai, and screams in absolute horror at seeing her leashed one free. The other pairs, and lone Sul'dams, turn and look at the freed Aes Sedai.

for the female channelers A bright glow suddenly shines out from her, and two independent strands spring forth, weaving. One is a little more complex than the other, and will need some time to be woven, but the other is more instantaneous.

Her former sul'dam, whose hand still holds a leash with no damane, is suddenly engulfed in flames as a fireball strikes her in the chest.

Ok, so here is the scene: the guards have been alerted to your presence, the suldam and damane were in the process of heading back into the mansion, but Litheene's held action kicked off the fun

just to remind everyone, you all are located on the third floor of the ruin. The quickest way to get to the mansion would be to jump out the window. The other way would be to go back down the way you came in, and it'll take 2 rounds to traverse through the building and to either go through the front of Jareens mansion, or in through the back. There is also an iron fence that runs the perimeter of Jareens property, buried deep within the shrubbery.

Alathea hisses in frustration as the damane draws upon saidar and attacks her sul'dam. This should not have happened! We are not here to fight a battle! But what is woven is done, and she sees little point in staying out of the battle now that it has begun. Female Human Seanchan Wilder 2 / Initiate 3 / Aes Sedai 6

The sound of the alarm shot Ltiheene's concentration like a tense arrow. Her whole focus, on the design of the adam, and the inverted weave about it, goes off at once, the adam clicking itself off, as her sister is free. A joy of satisfaction surges through Litheene as the click of the adam rings in her ears, even thou it's too far away to actually hear.
And to her inner horror, her joy grows yet, when the Suldam is engulfed by the flame of the one she released.

But Litheene is too focused, too submerged in her battle against her enemy to waver. Her weave, still inverted and unseen to the damane, surges forward. Releasing the matron will do no good, but I need to take her out of the combat. Her Suldam seems much less prepared than she is and so Litheene is quick to pick the next target. Litheene's arms of air grab hold of the bracelet from the hand of the suldam, taking it off, and holding it higher above them, where she ties the weave off.

I'm still using the same weave, as it's duration is concentration. In case I need an attack roll for hitting the bracelet (+1 for Amorial's bonus):
1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 3 + 1 = 24

Female Human Seanchan Wilder 2 / Initiate 3 / Aes Sedai 6

Wow, nice roll, and for a first try of an attack this game
This is my second combat round, assuming the bracelet is off, if not, I'll revise:

Two down, though it's too dangerous to repeat the same trick, they might resist. Images of her Suldam, Linda, who is out there flash before Litheene's eyes I can't hide any more. Litheene draws upon the power with all of her ability, letting Saidar flood her, not trying to hide her channeling or weaves any more.
She then slams a shield against the obedient damane, tying it off.

I mean the one I've hear was obedient, I assume pair B. I use a 4rd level slot, for level 7 weave (Angreal + affinities + auto success to over-channel one level).
Shield check (+1 for Amorial's inspiration bonus) :
1d20 + 31 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 31 + 1 = 43

At this point the damane might have used her turn to size the power, so I assume she is holding Saidar
