Round 8:
As they are directing their focus at the ruin and not looking in my direction I must ask; are they aware of Rhoekk's presence? If can use surprise, he will. He'll 5ft step to X19 to be within the 30 ft limit.
Rhoekk takes a small step forward, off the stairs, and knocks another arrow on his bow, then looses a flurry of arrows, all aimed at the Sul'dam.

Seeing the chained pair go down in the fireball, Rhoekk shifts his aim to take out the approaching guard.
A'Mar of House Issola
A'mar gets to the doorways and makes a quick survey and is aghast at the combat between the Ogier and curious about the conflict at the rear of the soldiers. He winces at the terrible blows the Ogier are inflicting, near panic at Amorial's wounds.
Ryland, this building is unstable, will fall very soon, I hope the others come quickly as there is now a huge hole in the center. I will not let them kill the Builder and I am thinking we must clear this rabble from the doorway so the Sisters can evacuate. Negotiating from a falling building is untenable. These duels are foolish, let us act in concert and clear this mess
----
How far is the fight from the doorway?
A'Mar of House Issola
I am not sure what they are doing or why they are standing among the broken timbers and such, but as for death, it is death to say here as well, at least fighting we have a chance, this building IS coming down, they might can move it or hold it steady with the One Power, but such as we have little chance if this building falls on us. Do you wish to wait for the Sisters and risk Amorial? I would save him if I can.
Ryland of Fal Dara
Ryland nods at A'Mar and whispers as he draws his sword and moves out of the entrance. "Be ready."
Once away from the warder, the woodsman holds his sword up above his head and uses his battle field voice to grab attention. "Enough! Put aside your arms and stop fighting! Now!"
Tesliin Sedai
Tesliin - Actually, I think maybe we should release the circle, then you and Alathea can act independantly. Unless you prefer not to, right now. As the major benefit was power of a shield, and we are out of channelling enemies in the current fight. For healing and helping the warriors, we will be more effective independently.
[ooc]Sounds good, I'll release as well then.[ooc]
Fiallain Bo'airr
Fiallain nods with grim satisfaction, not at the deaths of the two women, but in the removal of a threat to her companions. No lightning from those two now. She silently moves around the corner towards Rhoekk and signs: If you intend to remove the guards, I can lift you to the edge roof and you can pull yourself over when they do not look.
Is this a stone building? Are the walls able to be climbed?
Also, taking 10 on stealth (24) and perception if needed

The picture of burned flesh stings at Litheene, as she looks at the Matron lying on the ground. Again? Why again? We managed to subdue her Litheene pushes back at her thoughts She wasn't like me, she accepted the adam But she knows it to be a lie, as everyone accepts it eventually, and Shari was always the perfect damande before she run away.
The sounds of battle echo from the entrance to what once was the building. Litheene turns to Alathea, Tesliin and Ryvin, taking out the collar from her pocket. This is how you release an adam She says, showing them the lock and unlock of the metallic ring. Seeing Alathea move towards the fallen damane she adds The shield is tied off, but just in case, if she is alive, remove the bracelet from the suldam but keep the collar on. We need the matron alive if possible, we barely know anything about what's going on here To herself she adds And I don't want to see a damane killed, not if she has the slihtest chance to be saved.
Litheene then hurries to the building entrance, farther from the smell of burned flesh, and to the aid of her friends.
Did the Aes Sedai leave, or is she still around?
Alathea Sedai
Alathea turns back at Litheene's words and nods. "Yes, Litheene Sedai. I will Heal these women if it is not too late." She pauses only a moment before adding, "I will do as you say. I do not wish further interruptions if I can prevent it, yes?"
Rounds ??? to ??? actions: Alathea's intent is to first remove the bracelet from the sul'dam while leaving the collar on the damane, then to see if the women are still alive (Delving if necessary). If they are, she will Heal them to the best of her ability, first the more injured and then the less. If both of them are equally injured, she will Heal the damane first. To ensure that the sul'dam does not attempt to recover the bracelet, Alathea will snap it to her wrist before Healing her.

Alathea Sedai
HP 34/40, weaves remaining: 6/4/5/3/3/0
Alathea exhales heavily, letting out the breath that she hadn't realized she'd been holding. They live! But all is not well; the matron is barely holding on to life. This one will not live for much longer if I do not act quickly.
Alathea reaches out to the Leashed One with Air, Water, and Spirit to weave a Healing about her. Although she knows that she can certainly do a more complete Healing, she realizes that time is of the essence. Keeping her work to only the most necessary injuries, she repairs what damage she can in a short time.
That's a level 2 weave cast using a level 1 slot, due to all Affinities being met. The matron is Healed for 2d8 + 8 ⇒ (4, 5) + 8 = 17 hit points, and it takes Alathea a minute to complete her Healing. After she is done, she'll snap the a'dam's bracelet onto her wrist and begin Healing the sul'dam.
Ryvin Altessar
Ryvin comes stalking towards Alathea and the downed damane and sul'dam.
"I have heard it said that mercy is the finest virtue," she says as she holds up a hand. Saidar blazes around her and flows of Air, Fire and Spirit come together in her hand, forming a quarterstaff of a brilliant red, shot through with snake-like spirals of black.
"Security is not to be undervalued, however."
Ryvin holds the quarterstaff over the sul'dam's throat. The instant the Matron opens her eyes, Ryvin speaks to her: "I am holding death at your great-grandniece's throat. If you so much as think of reaching for the Source, you will carry the memory of her dying screams to your grave. Believe it."
If the sul'dam is first to wake, Ryvin gives her a mirthless smile. "This trick is a bit warmer than the last one I was going to use on you. It will kill you all the same. Don't say a word, or I will carve you like a summer ham -- and roast you while doing so."
Ryvin uses the Fiery Sword-weave to make a quarterstaff. This is a 3rd-level weave. She ties it off, and then uses her Intimidate skill on the prisoners if they stir: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24

Didn't we alter that back in our original game thread to be more reflective of the instantaneous healing seen in the books?

As the leader finishes speaking, a loud voice shouts above the fray "Enough! Put aside your arms and stop fighting! Now!"

round 8 summary
With the threat of the matron neutralized, the women push through the brush and descend upon the disabled pair. Alathea quickly kneels down and begins to perform triage on the pair, to ensure that they recover enough to provide information to the group of ladies. Ryvin, watching alathea's back, weaves a shaft of fire into existence, and holds it over the Sul'dams throat, a means of controlling the matron.
Fia and Rhoekk work out a plan of going to the roof. Fia assists rhoekk up to the ledge, and then follows behind.
Amorial fights against his honor opponent, wishing he didnt have to.
Ryland, at first discussing the nature of the Ogier's presence, seeks to end the combat by shouting out to all to stop. His effort is rewarded by the tall Ogier swinging a mighty axe and connecting a vicious blow upon Ryland.
Vala, surrounded by guardsmen, trades blows, and learns that one of her opponents was one she encountered that fateful night, 3 nights past.
Amar, wanting to get out of the structure, is attacked by another ogier.
Kodokura crouches behind the shrubbery, and observes the women, faintly feeling women channeling by the goosebumps on his arms.

And so, with barely any channeling left, alone, without the Angreal and without fire affinity, Litheene desperately rushes to help against the warriors' equivalent of our matron.
Considering I didn't channel previous round, so had a full round movement action (running), do I reach the entrance where the Ogier are fighting on this round?

Amorial Round 9
Inspiration 92 of 100 rounds left.
Amorial now heavily wounded fights on to the bitter end with this foe, this is certainly not how he envisioned this second meeting proceeding. If he survived the encounter it was becoming obvious that Amorial would need to acquire armor and learn a few combat tips from A'mar!

Alathea Sedai
Alathea looks up from her Healing with a flat stare for Ryvin. Glancing at the woman's weave, she says, "It is clear that your talents lie elsewhere, but this," she gestures at her Healing weaves, "is my talent. Let me work without veiled threats. I am perfectly aware of the threat that these women pose, yes? And I have taken precautions to prevent another escape." She motions to the detached a'dam.
After another moment of concentration, Alathea looks up at Ryvin again. "Do you do this because you fear that they will recover, or do you wish to make amends for allowing them to recover in the first?"
Ryvin Altessar
Ryvin shrugs. "I say what I say so they won't force me to make good on my threat," she says. "They might be useful. Provided they follow our... guidance."
She meets Alathea's eyes and raises one eyebrow. "I also do this so they won't try anything against you. When Healers do their work, it is the task of the Sword -- in this case, the Staff -- to stand ready to defend them against attack, no?"
Rhoekk of the Tardaad Aiel
Rhoekk's tactics on the rooftop depend on whether he was spotted coming up or not. If not:
Rhoekk creeps silently up to the nearest guard standing next to the ledge, and gives him a firm, but silent, shove. Stealth: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (6) + 26 = 32, Bull Rush: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (18) + 12 = 30
If he is seen coming up however he'll rapidly close with the nearest guard and kill him to death:
Rhoekk rushes up to the nearest guard, his spear moving blindingly fast, thrusting in again and again.
W/PA: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19, Damage: 2d6 + 10 ⇒ (6, 6) + 10 = 22 + Sneak Attack if 1st melee rules apply: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 5) = 8

I'll be travelling tomorrow and Sunday, and I'm away with my wife for a few days from Dec 28-31 (Kids with the grandparents, yay). Those days I'll be spotty or absent, but I should be able to check in through the holidays otherwise.

ok. looks like its time to get this game going again.
the roof top
Slipping over the edge of the roof line, Fia and Rhoekk are surprised to see that backs of the guards, who a moment ago were watching the ruined house and signs for movement, now have turned and are now running back towards the center of the roof.
Looking towards the center, you see 3 figures standing there, facing each other. One of them is making a twirling motion in his or her hand, and a flicker is all you see of something being spun.
1d20 + 20 ⇒ (14) + 20 = 34
The noble steps forward, after receiving a prompting from the Aiel.
Ah, Rhoekk. Glad to see you. And i see you have brought one of those whom you call wise ones. I am sure she will be difficult in being made into damane, but no matter, she shall be a great plaything for me to enjoy
the gaggle of women
The damane and Sul'dam stand up, looking warily at the marath'damane standing next to them. The sul'dam appears to be slightly sulking, while the matron stands erect, confident...like an Aes Sedai. We shall do no harm towards those that control the leash, shall we, grand daughter? The matron mummers to Ryvin and Alathea
Nodding, the Sul'dam stands silently, waiting.
Looking at the building, the Aes Sedai mutters in a tone meant to be heard arrogant Seanchan whore
Grimacing slightly, she looks at alathea and her control of the leash. Opening her mouth to speak, she stops and slightly shakes her head.
Let's go. We must get down into the lower basement quickly to get the ter'angreal.
up front
As axe's and blades swirl, the Ogiers and the remaining guardsmen appear to be slightly distracted. A slight tilt of their head is all that is given before the tall ogier bellows
WE MOVE! GO!
Matching words to action, the ogiers begin to fall back, making a measured retreat towards the mansion.
everyone gets a free AoO from them being distracted
Free AoO on the guardsmen for running away, but not the Ogier, as they only did a 10 foot step
litheene
Rounding the corner, you see the guardsmen begin to run away from a swordsman, whether from fear or for something else isnt known. A moment later, the largest of all Ogiers you have ever seen steps from the doorway, his monstrous axe swinging blows at Ryland. Sounds of blades clanging together emmit through the doorway as you hear combat from within the ruin.
Amorial Suth
Amorial holds his axe up in a defensive posture using my new Combat Expertise to put +5 attack into +5 AC curious as to why these foes are retreating. Something that A'mar said seems to ring in the back of his mind but in the frenzy to stay allive againts his foe it did not quite register in Amorial's mind.
Ryvin Altessar
"Move," Ryvin tells the sul'dam and the damane both.
She adds, just for the sul'dam: "The old one may be honest, wench, but I don't trust you any further than I can throw you. One step out of line, and..." Ryvin briefly holds her fiery staff closer to the Seanchan - not close enough to sear flesh, but there is a brief scent of burning hair before she pulls her weapon back.
Rhoekk of the Tardaad Aiel
"Jareen. It appears perhaps that your injuries were exaggerated, or that perhaps you forced one of your captives to heal you with the power. I am not fool enough to assume I know the reasons for everything, but the nature of your presence here in Cairhein is still a mystery. What are you hoping to accomplish by leading this group of foreigners here?"
"Geischen? Many times have I thought I've seen you, but I do not know if I see you now. What are you doing here with this enemy of the Car'a'carn; a man who openly defies the laws he commanded us to uphold?"
Rhoekk's leveling is done. It was pretty simple for him, as he was just taking another level of his chosen prestige class.
Fiallain Bo'airr
Fia bristles at being referred to as a 'plaything', and at all the implications such a term had with these people. She bit her tongue, however, as Rhoekk spoke. She took a position just behind and to his left, the power raging like a torrent within her as her eyes flashed between the three and the guards, but especially the three as she seeks any hint of attack and takes stock of their predicament.
perception: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (1) + 17 = 18
sense motive: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (12) + 14 = 26
Can Fia tell if the woman can channel? I'm assuming no, but just in case... also, is her clothing style familiar at all, or would she assume she is Seanchan? Also, I'm still mid-process in leveling. See questions in the discussion tab. :)
RIZZENMAGNUS
fia, make a weavesight check. her style isnt familiar, but you could make a safe assumption that she is seanchan.
at the moment, the Lord appears to be holding back, he is ready, but holding back
The lord, Lord Jareen identified by Rhoekk, steps away from the other two, and addresses Fia.
Mmmm yes, a plaything indeed. Strip away that bulky clothing and wrap you in the sheerest of white silk. Yes, I definitly think that you would be a great thing to enjoy, before turning you over to the soldiers. Once a common soldier touches you, then i, a noble, wouldnt want to touch such a sullied creature. Then, and only then, i think the Der'sul'dam could take you and train you.
Looking at Rhoekk, he continues. WHy am i here? Why, to let the Lord of Chaos rule!
Geischen steps away from the woman in black, his hand reaching up and uncovering his face.
I see you Rhoekk. Sightblinder has agents throughout the area, especially amongst the oathbreakers. My thought was to join in, be a mole, and elminate the threat. Unfortunetly, Ji'e'toh does not protect you against the oaths one swears to the Dark Lord. They are powerful, they penetrate your bone, to your core. Even though you wish to go against it, you cannot. It becomes your nature to obey, to serve your Dark Lord. As he speaks, tears run down his face.
My intentions were good, Rhoekk. You must see and understand, I did all this in an attempt to protect the Car'a'carn, but I have failed. Instead now i must protect this house. There are no patrols coming, Rhoekk. All patrols in this area have been sent away to other parts of the city. You, and your friends, are on your own.
Rhoekk of the Tardaad Aiel
To Jareen: "I do not know the Lord of Chaos, but as you stand with an admitted shadowwalker, I'll take it as a name for the Sightblinder, or perhaps for one of those called the Forsaken. I think you will loose many more servants today than you will gain in slaves. Whether we have allies this day or no, you should be more concerned about whether you will survive to see the morrow."
Turning to Geischen: "I have no doubt that many good men have fallen in history for far less ambitious goals. I will mourn you after your passing. It remains to be see if I will wake from the dream this day or another, but I will suffer no Shadow Walker to live and threaten the Car'a'carn."
During the conversation Rhoekk raises his buckler and gestures a few times with his left hand. The buckler arm comes to rest in a position where Fiallain can see his hand, but the folk across from them can not.
In Aiel hand talk"If you wish to fall back, I will cover your escape. If not, we will have to work together."
Fiallain Bo'airr
Snarling, Fia steps just in front of Rhoekk, but while still keeping her distance from the Seanchan nobleman. Her eyes flash dangerously at Jareen. Body tilted toward the enemy and crouched in a fighting stance, she presents as small a target as possible to the others. One arm is behind her back, hidden from their opponents, but most particularly hidden from the Geischen. Her voice is scornful as she addresses Jareen.
"I have never taken very well to training - a bit too stubborn I was always told, though it was very kind of you to offer. As to the other..." She looks him up and down and shakes her head in a pitying manner. She puts a bit of regret into her tone. "You do not look likely to survive any of the games that I know how to play. I would certainly not wish for someone as important as yourself to inadvertently be damaged beyond repair. Perhaps at another time, after you've had a chance to toughen up a little, and the play would be a little more, shall we say... sporting?"
The whole while, her fingers are doing some flashing of their own behind her back - signaling to Rhoekk.
"There is no falling back, unless it is together. I will not leave you here alone. We can fall back to the others, but you must trust me and do exactly as I say. If you are set to dance, then I stand with you. Decide which."
She is readying a harden air weave to cast at the first sign of attack and / or a signal from Rhoekk.
Fia is leveled - for her feat she took 'splitting the flows' from UTDB and some ranks in invert (if that is allowed at this point, if not I'll probably hold them in reserve.
Alathea Sedai
It's good to see people back. I hope everyone had a good holiday season!
With naught but a withering glance at Ryvin for her blunt threats, Alathea takes the Aes Sedai's suggestion and leads the matron and her granddaughter towards the basement, absently playing with the a'dam on her wrist.
Alathea has leveled up.
Rhoekk of the Tardaad Aiel
Aiel hand talk: "Shadow walkers cannot be left free. Let us dance. Focus on the woman first, the unknown. Coordinate attacks against the same opponent until each is defeated in turn."
Litheene
Litheene takes a moment to register the scene. Though exhausted from her fight with the damane, she feels a rush of motivation filling her from their victory, bringing with it new strength.
In game explanation of sudden ability to channel again
At seeing the Ogier she recognizes the Imperial gardeners Danger as they move close to her, and still too close to her companions.Moving closer to her companions, Litheene quickly treads air fire and spirit, to encase her and all of them, leaving everyone else outside.
Level 4 ward against people (and Ogier :) ) using 3rd level slot (affinity)
