That leaves H5 and H6 plus the boss, who are all lined up on the far side of our two heroes

"Go ahead and tumble around again if you want. As you can see from last time, one of you loses their life if you do. Are you that loyal?"

Right,

H5 and H6 look nervously at eachother, but the halfling says 'Get em, they killed H1-4!' They steel themselves and 5t step to move to either side of sally and fred.

We now have halfing lin front of sally, with one highwayman to her side, bob is behind her 1 square away. And one highwayman on the far side of fred.
@sally
H5 spiked chain: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 222d4 + 3 ⇒ (3, 3) + 3 = 9
H5 spiked chain: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 182d4 + 3 ⇒ (3, 4) + 3 = 10
@fred
H6 spiked chain: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 182d4 + 3 ⇒ (4, 2) + 3 = 9
H6 spiked chain: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 202d4 + 3 ⇒ (3, 1) + 3 = 7

Halfling 5ft steps between them attacking fred this time (and flanking with H6

slinger slingstaff: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (18) + 19 = 371d4 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10
slinger slingstaff: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (12) + 14 = 261d4 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13

"Did...did that suicidal little bugger just step into a flank, Sally?"

"I believe he did, Fred."

"After this, you'll be a quarterling, you know."

"Hey, wait for Bob first."

"Uhh, whatever."

1d20 + 23 ⇒ (18) + 23 = 411d20 + 18 ⇒ (8) + 18 = 26 (-2 for Sally if Fred just kills him) for 2d4 + 26 ⇒ (4, 3) + 26 = 332d4 + 26 ⇒ (1, 3) + 26 = 30 for Fred and 1d6 + 40 ⇒ (3) + 40 = 431d6 + 30 ⇒ (1) + 30 = 31 for Sally.

Confirming the crit 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (6) + 27 = 33 ("only" +25 for Sally) for 2d4 + 26 ⇒ (1, 1) + 26 = 28 more for Fred and 1d6 + 30 ⇒ (4) + 30 = 34 more for Sally.

2 hits on fred,
bob, looks up and reallize fred is rather injured, and 5ft steps to reach him, casting cure critical wounds
concentration to cast defensively: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (10) + 13 = 23
H6 spiked chain: 4d8 + 9 ⇒ (3, 1, 5, 3) + 9 = 21*1.5

So Fred took both hits to drop the halfling. Note that Sally would have done it on her crit alone, to her advantage if we were playing with either/or. Sally instantly drops her guy and actually loses her iterative because there's no one to kill. This leaves only Fred's highwayman alive. Sally aborts her full attack to move to a spot to stop the last highwayman from fleeing easily (probably further up the bridge, since Bob is on the close side

yea, the one brigand left drops his weapon and surrenders... 'I give up!' screw those guys...you guys are way cooler.

roll to confirm the threat (will determin if fred kills the halfling or not)

Already done at the bottom.

Bob, spends a few more wand charges to heal up his party's injuries and the party seeks shelter off this rediculously cliche road...
