Gilandiril smiles and claps Adrick on the back as he joins the companions on the wall.

"It's good to see you on your feet, friend dwarf. You have Zatqualmie to thank for that."

Now
Watching the dragon fly away from the town, Gilandiril nods in satisfaction, allowing himself the faintest hope for the first time over the course of this long night.

Perhaps we can prevent my vision from coming to pass after all.

Then, seeing the burned bodies of the dead and hearing the tortured cries of the wounded, his hope turns to anguish.

"My Lady, surely you did not guide me to Greenest just so I could bear witness to its destruction," he mutters bitterly.

Realizing he cannot help the injured or the dying, he descends the stairs to the outer bailey, joining Ragar and Zatqualmie.

"Yes, we should go to the mill. I assume you know the way, Ragar, since this is your home. No one else will die tonight if I can help it."

Leaving the mill 1d6 ⇒ 4 safely it is 1000 ft. to the mill. The raiders are still very busy. Upon reaching the mill you see 1d6 ⇒ 1 6 kobolds busily setting fire to the mill.

The mill is a simple rectangular barn, about 40 feet long and 20 feet wide, with an attached exterior office. The long side of the building away from the stream has barn doors and a two-part door, and the two short walls have windows. These openings are closed, but none are locked or barred.

Rhen seeks out some arrows to restock his quiver before setting out to the mill (if he can).

Once at the mill, spotting the kobolds, he says, "Just six kobolds? I expected more of a production out of this considering how well a mill should burn. Keep alert for any one else, like the humans or someone looking like they're in charge of this lot. And let's stop them before the flour dust catches fire!"

Rhen wastes no further time but starts to open bow fire at the kobolds.

Ragar rushes forth and swings mightily only to have the kobold dodge out of the way at the last moment.

You notice the mill fire is a deception. The fires were set outside the mill only to make it appear from a distance that they were on fire.

The storm inside the cleric pushed him into the fray. With a heavy blow he cracked the skull of a kobold like it was an egg. It happened so fast it felt like he wasn't in control of his actions...

The battle still raged and more enemies stood so Adrick would fight. He strode to the next beast and swung his weapon in a high over-hand chop.

Gilandiril wipes the blood from his eyes with the corner of his stormcloak, gratefully accepting one of the potions Governor Nighthill gave them.

“Thank you Darius. Those sling stones hurt more than you might think.”

He gives the vial a quick shake, watching as glimmering amber light dances within the crimson liquid, before downing it in one swallow.

Potion of Healing: 2d4 + 2 ⇒ (2, 4) + 2 = 8 hit points regained.

“Why would the kobolds pretend to set fire to the mill?” he wonders aloud, as the rejuvenating magic of the potion works its way through his veins. “Unless their intent was to lure townsfolk here and kill them while they attempted to douse the flames...”

He scans the area warily, looking and listening for any signs of other raiders.

Rhen will notice that there are cultist waiting inside the mill to ambush any would be heroes. They seem to outnumber you two to one and they will surely overtake the town militia who is about 15 minutes behind you, as the governor told you when you set out for the mill.

Upon Ragar running into the mill, the cultist are shocked that Ragar seems to know they are there, all 12 of them. Half wear chail shirts, the other half wear leather armor.

One in leather drops down and is met with Darius arrow, falling hard to the ground at Ragar's feet.

At Rhen’s warning, Gilandiril curses under his breath, muttering, "…and all burning Hell breaks loose," as he turns back toward the mill.

Ragar attacks the nearest enemy without completely entering the mill. If that is not possible because the guards and cultists remain inside, then he will enter and move slightly to one side so as not to provide cover for the enemy from his ranged allies.

Adrick rushes in and misses the guard with a mighty swing from his warhammer.

the other cannot attack as there is not enough room, but one attack is enough as a spear glances off Adrick's shield and takes a chunk out of the side abdominal of the dwarf.

Ragar drops another one of the guards.

Gil can't seem to get a clear shot and takes a fast shot, a tiny bit of frost appears on the mill's walls.

Rhen's shot goes wide.
