I can replace any attack roll, saving throw, or ability check made by me or a creature I can see with one of these foretelling rolls. I must choose to do so before the roll and I can replace a roll in this way only once per turn. Each foretelling roll can be used only once and any unused foretelling rolls are lost when I finish a long rest.
Shelter of the Faithful: As a servant of Sehanine Moonbow, I command the respect of those who share my faith, and I can perform the rites of Sehanine. I and my companions can expect to receive free healing and care at a temple, shrine, or other established presence of my faith. Those who share my religion will support me (and only me) at a modest lifestyle. I also have ties to the Glen of Aloevan in the Ardeep Forest, where I have a residence. When I am in Ardeep, I can call upon the priests there for assistance, provided it will not endanger them.

Personal Characteristics:
Background: Acolyte - I am dedicated to Sehanine Moonbow and spent much of my life serving the forest temple in the Glen of Aloevan in Ardeep.

Personality Traits: I see omens in every event and action. The gods try to speak to us, we just need to listen.

Although she was driven mad and consumed by silver fire, I idolize Laranla Aloevan, the ancient queen of Ardeep. She was the Chosen of both Sehanine Moonbow and Mystra, and I constantly refer to her as an exemplar of my faith and my vocation.

Ideal: Charity. I always try to help those in need, no matter what the personal cost. I have particular empathy for the displaced and the dispossessed.

Bond: A recurring series of apocalyptic visions has led me to the town of Greenest, where I hope to unravel their meaning and prevent them from coming to pass.

Flaw: My piety sometimes leads me to blindly trust those that profess faith in Sehanine Moonbow (or Selune, whom I have come to understand is an aspect of Sehanine).

Equipment:
Dagger, Arcane Focus (a staff made from a duskwood tree limb, capped with the eight-pointed star of Mystra), Scholar’s Pack (includes a backpack, a book of lore, a bottle of ink, an ink pen, 10 sheets of parchment, a little bag of sand, and a small knife), Spellbook, Holy Symbol (a moonbar crystal carved in the shape of a flat disk, approximately three inches in diameter, on a mithral chain), Prayer Book, 5 Sticks of Incense, Vestments, Set of Common Clothes, Pouch (15 gp)

Backstory:
My name is Gilandiril Celebrithil. I was born in the Year of the Lost Lady, which is numbered twelve-hundred and forty-one by Dale Reckoning.

My mother and father were refugees who fled the invasion of the High Forest and the destruction of Eaerlann by orcs and demonkind. Not yet prepared to pass on to Evermeet, they travelled with many other Tel-Quessir to rebuild Ardeep and establish the Fallen Kingdom. Thus, I was born and raised beneath the boughs of the duskwood and weirwood trees in the Realm of the Deepening Moon.

From my father, one of the priests who tended the Glen of Aloevan, I inherited my faith in Sehanine Moonbow, the Daughter of the Night Skies. From my mother, I learned the tenets of Mystra and the secrets of High Magic. I spent my youth wandering sun-dappled paths, practicing the Art in the Green Glade, and learning the rites of the Lady of Dreams.

In the Year of Moonfall, when many of the Tel-Quessir began the Retreat and my parents chose to journey to Evermeet, I chose instead to remain in Ardeep. As I had passed my hundredth year, the decision was mine to make, though it was not an easy one. I bade my mother and father farewell knowing that we would one day be reunited in Arvanaith, but that knowledge did not ease our parting.

I spent decades serving the Mooncalled in Ardeep, destined, it would seem, to follow in my father’s footsteps, until the Year of Blue Fire, when the Spellplague rent the Weave asunder and the world changed. In the wake of that cataclysm, I decided I had spent long enough hidden away in the forest. Though I honor the faithful who tend the Glen of Aloevan, I realized that my place was no longer among them, that I could not truly discover life’s mysteries unless I experienced what lay beyond the borders of my home.

And so, I allowed Sehanine to guide my path, which led me to the streets of Waterdeep, to the ruins of Eaerlann in the High Forest, as far north as Neverwinter, and as far south as Baldur’s Gate. For nearly a century I wandered, before returning to Ardeep in the Year of the Malachite Throne, called there to join the ritual of Transcendence for Elofindar Floshin. Thereafter, I spent some time keeping company with his son, Darfin, until his estates were attacked by orcs and the manor house was put to the torch, forcing those of us who were not captured to flee to nearby Daggerford.

Now, as the world changes again and those who work the Art can feel the Weave mending, I find myself on a new path. For several months, at least once a tenday, during my daily meditation, I have experienced a strange sequence of apocalyptic visions in which the whole of Faerun is consumed by freezing cold, choking fumes, lightning storms, waves of acid, and raging fire. Each time, the vision ends with ten burning eyes glaring at me from the darkness beyond the smoldering ruin of a town called Greenest. I must go to this town if I am to unravel the mystery of these visions...

Appearance:
Gilandiril is slight of build and compact, standing just over five-and-a-half feet tall. His bluish-white skin contrasts starkly with his black hair, which he wears long and unbound. His pale blue eyes are dotted with silver flecks that seem to brighten in moonlight. He favors a silver-white robe that resembles a toga, belted by a silver sash; a plain, gray stormcloak; and well-worn but comfortable sandals. His staff is a thick branch of duskwood, the top of which is carved into the eight-pointed star of Mystra. A moonbar crystal pendant in the shape of the full moon, the Holy Symbol of Sehanine, hangs from a mithral chain around his neck.
