Rael. |

Rael takes the four blows, ducking and yelping! And then dashes out of the melee and chugs a potion!
" Wah! "
Initiative : 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Bonus Action: Cunning Action: disengage!
Move: another 30 ft away for a total of 60ft while taking out a potion.

Moon-dancer |

"I was afraid we hadn't seen the last of these damned lizards!" Moondancer curses.
Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
"Go back to the dung heap that spawned you, you rotten thing," she says, infusing her words with magic as she draws the blue crystal staff and moves toward Rael.
Casting vicious mockery on the draconian closest to Rael. It needs to make a DC 13 Wisdom save or take 1d4 ⇒ 4 psychic damage and suffer disadvantage on its next attack roll.
Also: Did I learn any other functions of the staff when I attuned it? Right now all I know is the 1-charge healing for 2d4+2 hit points.

Rael. |

Rael, feeling relieved that none of the Draconians chased him, turns. Drawing a dagger he moves back towards Moon-Dancer and the main melee. He tries to find a clear shot before hurling his dagger at the Draconian attacking Urgo
" Come on Rael, don't run, help your friends! " he mutters, trying to steel his nerve.
Move: Draw dagger and move back 30ft,
Bonus action: cunning action dash. Move 10 more feet. Or more I guess, if I can find somewhere where I can take a clear shot at a draconian.
Attack: Throw dagger!
Dagger throw vs (12 damage) : 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Piercing damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Disadvantage (if Draconian has cover? : 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Sneak attack damage (if he doesn't have cover): 2d6 ⇒ (4, 6) = 10
As long as Urgo is adjacent to my target and I don't have disadvantage on the attack roll I get sneak attack damage.

Moon-dancer |

Moving up behind the more wounded of the two draconians attacking Urgo, Moondancer tries to distract the beast, flailing at it with the blue crystal staff.
Flanking the (12 damage) creature with Urgo. Initiative count drops to 17.
Two-handed attack with staff with advantage: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 191d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13

Larissa Galanodel |

Larissa deflects her foe's blow with her shield, then returns with a riposte.
Attacking that same 22-damage guy I hit the first time.
Rapier: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20, Damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12

![]() |

Moon-Dancer do you just strike with the staff or do you attempt to use some of its divine nature? If so, I need a charisma check.
Larissa attacks the same draconian, killing him who explodes in a spray of acid. 3d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 5) = 13 Dex save DC 12 for half for both Larissa and Bel.
Bel moves to attack the next draconian, striking him twice, forcing everyone but Rael and Larrisa to make a save. Dex 12 for half. 3d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 1) = 11
Urgo stands there and takes damage as well as _____? Urgo post two rounds of actions.
The last draconian will breath a cloud of posionous gas 1d12 ⇒ 12 Dex 12 for half everyone but Larrissa and Rael.

Larissa Galanodel |

DEX save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
Larissa raises her shield to block the worst of the blast, then steels her resolve and moves forward to try and end the threat.
Bonus action: Second Wind, then advance and stab the last draconian.
Second Wind: 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
*sigh*
Rapier: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18, Damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

Urgo the Misunderstood |

Acid save 1: 1d20 ⇒ 15 5 hp damage.
Acid save 2: 1d20 ⇒ 16 6 hp damage.
Current hp total = 20
Urgo swings hard with the flat of his great sword on the draconian's head, trying to knock him out. Going for KO instead of kill.
Greatsword (rd 1): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
Damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (4, 3) + 4 = 11
Greatsword (rd 1): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16

Dex save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21 5hp damage
Dex save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9 11hp damage
Dex save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21 6hp damage
Current HP: 3/25
Able to dodge the first spray of acid, Bel connects fully with the second, then catches a small amount of the poison gas just for good measure.

Larissa Galanodel |

DEX save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
Larissa throws up her shield at the last second, blocking part of the spray.
"Friends," she says, still wincing from the burns, "I think we need to start considering artillery tactics when possible..."

Urgo the Misunderstood |

Whew! Was worried there... can't take much more of that...
Standing over the unconscious draconian, Urgo lets out a deep breath. "Everybody okay?"
"Can anyone see more of them? We made enough noise to wake this entire swamp..."
Current hp = 20

Moon-dancer |

"How badly is everyone hurt?"Moondancer asks, surveying the group's wounds. "I can bind your cuts with needle and thread, or use the staff's power if you need it."
I can heal 2d4+2 per charge with the staff, not sure how many charges it has, though. If we make time for a short rest, my song of rest ability will get anyone who uses a hit die to heal and extra d6 hit points back. I vote for a short rest, myself.

Beliminorgath |

Bel looks pretty bad. The gas and acid have reduced him to almost no hit points.
Bel shuffles over to the others.
"Those creatures were almost the death of me. I hope we do not encounter many more. If it is possible I could use some healing!"

Urgo the Misunderstood |

"Does anyone have any rope to bind our prisoner?" Urgo looks down at the crumpled heap at his feet, "Maybe he can tell us what we are up against while we are resting."
Assuming we can take a short rest:
HD 1: 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
song of rest: 1d6 ⇒ 3
New hp total = 36

Larissa Galanodel |

"Yes, we need a rest. The area may not be secure, but pressing onward in our current state would be suicide."
If our short rest succeeds, I'll use my wizard HD, since I'm not down very much. I'll also get a spell slot back via arcane recollection.
HD: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Moon-dancer |

Song of rest: 1d6 ⇒ 2
Moondancer spending 2 hit die to heal: 2d8 + 2 ⇒ (3, 8) + 2 = 13
Using staff to heal Bel, 1 charge: 2d4 + 2 ⇒ (2, 3) + 2 = 7
Moving among the companions, Moondancer sings a wordless tune that seems to lift their spirits as she binds their wounds. Hovering over Bel, she calls upon the power in the blue crystal staff, adding its magic to her ministrations.
"Now then, let's wake this scaled creature and see what it knows of swamp and this ruined city we seek," she says.

Rael. |

Short Rest: 2d8 + 2 ⇒ (5, 6) + 2 = 13 +2 from song of rest puts me at max hp.
Rael moves over to Urgo, unhooking a coil of rope from his small pack. " Here Urgo, let's tie him up. Sorry I wasn't much use then... "
" Thanks Moon. " Rael smiles as Moon sings binding his wounds.

A bridge similar to the one you crossed already to the NW and E, to the NE lies a broken bridge.
The NE:
Amid drooping vines and mosses, a bridge spans two sections of ground. Its ornate wooden latticework, carved to resemble vines, is broken in many places. Two hooded figures stand on the north side of the bridge.

Urgo the Misunderstood |

Since you are jumping us forward, was I able to get any useful information from the draconian? I would make sure that the others stay a distance away, and interrogate him while standing behind and holding his head to face away from me (as I have seen his type spew acid before). I would also take care to be as honorable as the Measure allows in respect to prisoners of war. If he is cooperative, I will leave him alive, promising to pay Rael back for the rope. If not, I will give him a warrior's death. Using my Ogrish Endurance to reduce the acid damage if necessary.

Urgo the Misunderstood |

Dex Save: 1d20 ⇒ 11 Failed.
Ogrish Endurance: 1d12 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Dmg taken = 4. Current hp = 31.
As we approach the NE bridge, Urgo whispers, "Who has distance weapons? I have a longbow, though I am not the best of shots."

Rael. |

Rael whispers back. " I've got a bow and I'm not a bad shot with it but are you sure these folks are looking for a fight Urgo? "
How broken is the bridge? Is it uncrossable? How far away from us are the hooded people? Does it look like they've seen us?

Moon-dancer |

Moondancer readies her bow.
"In a swamp full of these lizard men, I don't like the look of those two. Urgo, why don't you go hail them. If the prove evil, Rael and I will fill them full of arrows. "

Urgo the Misunderstood |

Urgo smiles, "You know me too well."
After waiting for his friends to get ready, the half-ogre stands and begins walking toward the bridge. If he gets to the bridge, he takes care to avoid the broken patches, but looks up at the robed figures.
"Hail, strangers! What brings you to this foul swamp?" he says with a smile.
