Abbas Majidi |
Though somewhat encumbered by his bag(s), Abbas gives way to his fighting instinct and rushes forward, pulling his sword and bringing it overhead...Luckily it is not that far...
Charge w/overhand chop: 1d20 + 2 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 2 + 8 = 30
Confirm?: 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 8 + 2 = 25 Uhm yes I think so...
Rgular damage: 2d4 + 6 ⇒ (3, 3) + 6 = 12
Crit damage: 2d4 + 6 ⇒ (3, 4) + 6 = 13
Boom! Goes the dye-nah-me-teh?
Abbas offers a guttural scream in the rough Terran language. Oh to be able to intimidate as afree action, but all things in their time...
Relas |
"LEAVE MY SUMMONER ALONE!", Relas roars as he attempts to tear into another of the lizards.
Bite Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Claw Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

Claw Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Full attack on the lizard in the middle.
mdt |
Relas discovers that the lizards have really thick skin. At least they do when one waves one's paws in their general direction and sissy fights with them.
Round 2
Init Abbas: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14

Tolla Eberhart |
Tolla slips between Abbas and Palomia, then delivers a swift flurry of kicks at the middle lizard.
Raging Power Attack Flurry of Unarmed Strikes: 1d20 + 5 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (3) + 5 + 2 - 1 = 9

Abbas Majidi |
Abbas sidesteps next to Tolla and continues to chop at the lizards...
CHOP!: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
And swings CRAZY off target...narrowly missing the monk's limbs...
Relas |
"RRRR!"
Relas is frustrated by his inability to hit his target, but he tries again, knowing that his summoner's life is at stake.
Bite Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16

Claw Attack #2: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Hah! Finally hit with at least one attack. Same target as before.
mdt |
Relas rakes his claws on the one in the middle. No target set, but it's the one closest to him that's closest to his master, plus it's wounded

Bite 4: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9 Relas
One gets a good bite on Tolla.
Bite Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
It attempts to grab Tolla.
Grab 2: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21
Tolla is grabbed by the shins and dumped on top of the bloody dead lizard she was standing over. The lizard growls as it begins to shake it's head, keeping Tolla's legs in it's mouth.
Gniel up next
Gniel |
Move to load crossbow. Move so next turn, he has line of sight on lizard.
mdt |
Gniel, Palomia and Tolla are prone, which means they don't provide cover for the lizards.
Round 3

Order : Palomia, Lizards, Everyone Else
I'm going to assume Palomia does full defense again, and if she doesn't, she can correct me and I'll go back if I need to on the lizard's actions.
The lizards continue snapping at the group.
Bite 3: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18 Palomia
Bite 4: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16 Relas
The one biting on Tolla jerks it's head side to side and rears back, tearing into her legs. Palomia is again bitten by the middle lizard. Relas at least avoids the attack directed at him.
Bite Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11 Tolla
Bite Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 Palomia
It attempts to grab Palomia.
Grab 2: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21
Palomia is again grabbed by the hissing lizard.

Relas |
That's fine on Palo's action; I'd have done that one again anyway. She's down to 5 hitpoints now, ouch.
"Let her go!" cries Relas, furiously clawing and biting at the lizard that has Palomia in its' clutches.

Well, he's still slap fighting with his claws, but at least he's biting well. :)
#1 : DEAD
#2 : 0
#3 : 20
#4 : 0

Shot at lizard
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 221d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Move to reload
mdt |
Ok, enough waiting, botting missing people.
Abbas swings his sword again in a mechanical manner, missing completely. In fact, he misses so badly it's a wonder he doesn't chop his own foot off. If we were using critical fumble rules, that would have been a possibility.
Charge w/overhand chop: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9
Tolla kicks at the wounded Lizard, trying to reduce the combat scope. Fortunately her training allows her to kick with only one leg.
Prone Raging Flurry of Unarmed Girly Kicks: 1d20 + 5 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (7) + 5 + 2 - 4 = 10
Prone Raging Flurry of Unarmed Girly Kicks: 1d20 + 5 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (12) + 5 + 2 - 4 = 15
Damage: 1d6 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 5 + 2 = 8
The kick caves in part of the lizard's skull, and it collapses to the ground in an angry hiss to twitch and bleed out.

Palomia and Tolla are prone.
Round 4

The lizards continue snapping at the group, at least those who are still up do. Well, actually it's only one lizard, as the other has a nice tasty Tolla in it's jaws.
Bite 4: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 Relas
The one biting on Tolla jerks it's head side to side and rears back, tearing into her legs.

Tolla Eberhart |
Tolla struggles against the lizard bloodying her legs. If it weren't for the rage boiling over in her, she'd have succumb to the wounds. She pushes through the pain, though, and reaches down to try to grab the lizard's neck.
Attempt to Reverse the Grapple!: 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 8 + 2 = 15
-1 to attacks and non-grapple CMB checks (instead of -2)
Can make attacks of opportunity (not against something already grabbing her, but further attempts to grapple or grab provoke
Abbas Majidi |
Sorry, Toddler + Wife in Grad School make for a hard weekend mix sometimes...
Abbas swings at the lizard gnawing at Tolla, timing his strike to crush it as it maneuvers the pugilist.
Chop!: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
Damage?: 2d4 + 8 ⇒ (1, 4) + 8 = 13
mdt |
Tolla fails to reverse the grapple, the lizard is rather good at keeping it's jaws clamped around wriggling meat for some reason.
Palomia stands up, and the lizard attacking Relas snaps at her as she does so.
AoO: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24 Wow the dice roller hates Palomia and loves Relas
Bite: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12 Have I mentioned it REALLY hates you?
Palomia screams and collapses as the bite rips into her flesh, and Relas screams and vanishes as she collapses to the ground. The lizard, being more interested in attacking interlopers than eating, doesn't bother grabbing, he's more interested in making the last two intruders dead than eating.
Abbas's chop, however, hits (if a bit wobbly on the delivery), and bites deep into the side of the lizard attacking Tolla.
mdt |
House rule explanation time. I do stabilization checks slightly differently. You make a Fortitude Save, with the DC = 10 + Negative HP Absolute Value. So, if you're under by 4 HP (-4 HP), then your DC is 14. If you succeed on the fortitude save, you're good. Otherwise, you bleed out 1hp. Currently Palomia is at -7HP, so her fortitude save is vs DC 17. As per standard, you can go up to negative CON and survive, so Palomia dies if she reaches -18 HP. In other words, she's got 10 more rounds of bleeding to stabilize before she dies. Natural 20 auto-stabilizes, no matter the DC.
mdt |
Palomia and Tolla are prone. Palomia is unconscious.
Round 5
Init Abbas: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23

Init Tolla: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Init Lizards: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Order : Abbas, Lizards, Everyone Else
Abbas Majidi |
Abbas grunts, tensing as the fight turns for the worse, but keeping his "warrior" brain on the task at hand the Suli once more brings the scimitar up and down on the lizard in front of him.
CHOP!: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
Damage: 2d4 + 8 ⇒ (1, 3) + 8 = 12
Die you damn lizard!
mdt |
The lizard hisses at Abbas, and then obligingly dies.
The last lizard, instinctively knowing a bad fight when it's outnumbered and alone, takes off running into the tall grass.
Out of combat now, unless someone wants to chase the lizard. You may now RP, or ask questions about the wagon you found the other hex (discussions in the past by Palomia are ok, but nothing current until she is awake again). Same for Relas.
Tolla Eberhart |
Tolla lets her bloodlust vision fade, and her sustaining rage slips away. Tolla takes a deep breath to calm herself, as the monks taught her. She then falls unconscious with a stern look of victory on her face.
DC 11(?) Stabilization: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Abbas Majidi |
Abbas sheathes his sword and drops his pack looking at both Tolla and Palo. They appear to be alive, but wounded for sure. Gniel, do you know of such things?
Re: the wagon. Are there any pieces of decent size (like to make a litter?) intact wheel or metal pieces from its construction worth salvaging?
Gniel |
Not unless they are secretly made of gears and magic. We need a safe place for them to recover.
Gniel scans the surrounding area for suitable shelter/defensible position. Take 20 to look around immeadiate area: 29.
Is Relas still here?
mdt |
The wagon was crushed, and the wood rotted. The wood had likely been exposed for a couple of years at least. The metal was rusty. You only found it because Relas smelled rust on the wind. You could possibly salvage some metal, but it'll need to be resmelted to be of use. It was good steel at one point.
Looking around, there's not much in the way of shelter or defensible positions. However, there are a few trees scattered around. A couple of small patches where there are 3-4 trees in a bunch that would provide something.
There were healing kits in the cargo you brought, hopefully someone brought them along exploring
Abbas Majidi |
There were, but looking at other profiles I picked up a lot of stuff but not that. @Gniel Relas disappeared when Palo went unconscious.
Abbas nods at Gniel and does his best to work Palo and Tolla to a stand of trees. That work done the Suli looks to the gnome, We are about to pay for our excitement in leaving. Looking over the others we have many things but the healing kits and tents were left behind. I could try to go back and bring them to us, and risk you here to defend these two alone, or we could wait and see if either wakes up...
Abbas sits on his hunches picking at the grass so as to be "eye" level with his new companion as they consider their next move. He is clearly brought low by the current state of things.
Tolla Eberhart |
I know Tolla used it last. I think I just forgot to add it to my gear section. I don't think she would leave without it after what happened last time. :P
Gniel |
approximately how far are we away from the docks?
Gniel |
"Let's rest here for tonight. If they wake up by morning, we should make way to the docks to fully heal up."
Tolla Eberhart |
Tolla wakes up slowly, aching all over, but alive. She groans as she sits up, wincing and gingerly touching her thrashed legs. She shakes her head--she should never have allowed those lizards to get ahold of her, but her mind must have been somewhere else in that fight. She looks around to see Gniel and Abbas, and the unconscious Palomia. Tolla eats some rations for breakfast to regain her strength, then digs through her bag for the healer's kit. "We should get Palomia up, and back to the ship to recover for a few days. Besides, I think Relas has some of our supplies." Tolla sets to work on Palomia, and the warm touch of her forehead has Tolla worried that the other woman might have a fever...
Heal to Treat Deadly Wounds: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 + 2 = 7
Oof. Or not... -2 uses anyway
mdt |
Now that Tolla is awake, she needs to make the following saves. Palomia will as well when she wakes up.
Poison from bite : Bite—injury; save Fort DC 14; onset 1 minute; frequency 1/hour for 6 hours; effect 1d2 Dexterity damage; cure 1 save. The save DC is Constitution-based.
Both Tolla and Palomia were bitten 3 times, which ups the DC by +4.
So, Tolla : Fort Save, DC 18. If you fail, take 1d2 Dex damage. Then up to 6 more saves, each failure is 1d2 dex damage. First time you make the save, you stop making rolls, and that's it.
Tolla Eberhart |
Fort: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18 :D
Tolla's legs feel like they're on fire--worse than just flesh wounds would be. But she grits her teeth against the pain, and with a long string of swear words manages to resist the worst pains of it. What were those things anyway? she thinks.
Kn (Nature): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
mdt |
Abbas Majidi |
Abbas eyes Tolla critically, If you feel up to the trek, I can carry Paloma back though it will be slow going with the gear I am carrying. I worry you push yourself to hard, your wounds were quite nasty...
Whether it makes sense at night or the morning before they go Abbas want to cut into the lizards to see if he can find a gem or anything else than might explain the whole "Relas feeling better" phenomenon....and it occurs to me maybe try feeding that to Palo if I do...hmmmm

Abbas finds 3 odd semi crystal semi putty semi milky yellow crystals, each about the size of an eyeball inside three of the corpses. Once the blood is washed off, they seem to glow softly, even at night, giving off a faint yellow light (illuminates 5 ft dimly).
Survival Abbas: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14
Abbas remembers to do the killing and butchering about half a mile away from the camp to keep predators away.
Abbas Majidi |
Abbas will stow two of the crystals for later and give one to Tolla, The cat felt better after eating one of these, I think, perhaps you should try one?
