Rime spell anyone?

Advice

For a control focused caster druid do you recommend Rime spell? And if so which spells would you attach it to?

I was going to say Frostbite, but I see you said "caster" druid. Do druids get the snowball spells? If not, I'm not sure how many cold spells you can access early on, that element is typically a bit higher-level.

Flurry of Snowballs yes

Snowball, flurry of snowballs, ice storm. All good for this.

Frost fall has a more usefully shaped area than flurry of snowballs IMO, frigid touch is worth noting for the no-save and staggered (& rime frigid touch fits neatly into spell storing weapons or armor), ice spears has its uses too.

If you're a druid, you can get Natural Spell, then use the Wild Shape / Rime Spell Frostbite combo for some really powerful crowd control and damage.

Frostbite lasts for several charges, 1charge/lvl, so you can get a lot of attacks off Wild Shaped as a Deinonychus, and Rime Spell Frostbite will go off on all of them (at least until the charges are spent or you cast another spell - casting another spell while you have charges immediately dispels your charges). As soon as your Frostbite charges are expended, hit him with a Frigid Touch.

Frostbite = fatigued
Rime = entangled
Frigid = staggered

If you want to really pile on the flavor, get Reach spell so you can change Frigid Touch from a Touch range to a Close range spell. Snowball is good if you can beat their Fort save, but the nice thing about Frigid Touch is the no save.

Later on, you can get a Cruel Amulet of Mighty Fists, get Power Attack and Cornugon Smash, and your targets will be shakened/sickened in addition to fatigued/entangled/staggered.

It's brutal :D

What about Rime Winter's Grasp? Does that work well? But once they are out of the 20' radius they would no longer be entangled correct?

Rime Reach Frostbite...
Multiple ranged touch attacks that fatigue, entangle and do non-lethal damage

Haven't seen winter's grasp before. Terrible damage, great for imposing entangle (& a -2 of future cold spell saves) on many enemies. Almost strictly better than frost fall. Each time a creature takes cold damage from a rime spell it gets entangled for rounds = base spell level. This entangle doesn't go away if it moves out of the area. It may want to move out anyway because if it takes damage again it gets entangled again. The entangle durations overlap rather stacking but still, nice to have.
