Alchemist level 3 and 4 extracts

My group consists of a Witch, Paladin, Barbarian and my alchemist.

I've reached level 11, so I have:

6 level 3 extracts and
3 level 4 extracts.

For my level 3 extracts I've taken Channel Vigor 3x, Burst of Speed and Displacement 2x. Giving a couple channel vigor to my 2 front liners and taking 1 displacement for myself and giving the other to a front liner.

For my level 4 extracts I've taken Greater Invis, Freedom of Movement and either Fluid Form or Stoneskin. And I have restoration which would be taken as needed.

Any other recommendations for level 3/4 extracts?

What kind of alchemist? Bomber, melee, natural attack?


Heroism and fly are good for anyone, and it sounds like bombs are your thing if you're referring to 'my 2 front liners'? If so take a look at bouncing bomb admixture.

Heroism can be used via alchemical allocation and has the duration to be easily precast.

Monsterous physique is a good option. One extract give you better offense, defense, your choice of movement, senses. Level 2 give you access to mimicry (doppelganger).

Like wise with fey form.

Echolocation solves a lot of problems.

Keep a spot open for remove spells or resist energy.

Earth Glide is good for scouting.


How would I use earth glide? It says I travel at a speed of 5 ft? Wouldn't arcane eye work much better?

How would you use echolocation? I've never used this extract before.

The current potions I have for alchemical allocation are:

Remove blindness/deafness
Placebo Effect
Resist Energy
Cure Serious Wounds
Barkskin +5
See Invis
Shield of Faith +4
Elixir of True Form
Lesser Restoration
Remove Disease

Do you recommend any other potions to add to my repertoire ?


These are suggestions based off a number of points; fun, interesting, classic, protection, party makeup, gimmicky, etc. Let's go.

Level 3s

Amplify Elixir - Increase any Numbers on a potion by half or if no numbers, extends it. Can't work with instantaneous which does limit it but comboing it with Alchemical Allocation which lets you drink a potion without using it well, you can get some silly ideas going.

Bloodhound - Scent. Just Scent but with some bonuses to it skills based around it. Handy if you just want Scent and nothing else.

Darkvision, Communal - Dependent on Campaign and Race makeup.

Gaseous Form - Given that you fly, you shouldn't get attacked. But this makes sure you don't, even in close combat. It's a Get of Death card.

Lightning Lash Bomb Admixture - Electric DoT that stacks with your specialty bombs. Not other Admixtures.

Level 4s
Echolocation and Eyes of the Void - Magical Darkness? Ignore it.

Freedom of Movement - AKA "Let me go". Decent to have 1 or a couple made up. Dependent on your DM though.

Persistent Vigor - A niche spell but it's has it's spot. Fast Healing 2, immune to Bleed, Sickened and Nauseated? Oh and lets you recover from diseases and poisons easier? This isn't required but it's nice to have in the back pocket.

Universal Formula - Cough ouch that's a price tag both the spell slot and the 100 cash. But having 1 extract that can be ANY extract can be handy. Only up to level 3 though. Make and store.

Ignore earth glide I remembered it being better. Elemental Body is better. You can scout and get into position.
