Clear spindle ioun nerf?

I had noticed in a couple other PFS threads that people mentioned some sort of nerf to the clear spindle ioun stone? I didn't want to derail those threads, but searching I can't find any mention of recent changes?

Is there something I'm missing? Is this a PFS-specific thing?

The Clear Spindle resonance power in a wayfinder is no longer constant protection from mental control like the Protection from Evil spell, it's now limited to 1/day standard action activation at CL 12th, or you can burn out the stone entirely to activate it as an immediate action if you're about to be hit with a possession/control effect.

This change happened as per the release of the Adventurer's Guide, a fairly poorly received book given the many rebalances it contained to a few popular options.

For PFS the items in Adventurer's Guide are still not legal as the additional resources hasn't been updated since 29th of april.
So for the moment we still run with the old version of it, but I'd imagine they are updating the list with the start of season 9

Just so I fully understand, this change to the clear spindle ioun stone's resonance (and any other changes in the Adventurer's Guide) is not yet official for PFS play and won't be until the additional resources has been updated, correct?

A lot has changed in the book.

We're just waiting to see what impact it will have on PFS.
