That's right! Kind of awesome how quickly we are going going through stretch goals!
HUGE thanks to everyone that has become a backer so far!
We might even hit the HeroLab goal (which will double our initial funding goal) by this evening!
Also, stay tuned for more stretch goals to be announced - hopefully later this evening :)

Hero Lab goal is DONE and DUSTED!
Every backer who already has the New Paths Hero Lab files gets the updated files for free. Every backer who wants to get the New Paths HL files gets them at a serious discount.
This is a huge goal for playability and utility, and I'm very, very happy to see the support for Hero Lab from backers.

Final week indeed!!! If you've been on the fence up until now, maybe now might the time to pull the trigger!
We're steadily marching to the next stretch goal - the addition of combat divinations to the book!
Oh, and speaking of stretch goals - if you haven't checked in a little while, you might want to do so now ... you know, just in case there are any new and/or updated stretch goals :)

So many awesome stretch goals, I was hoping to see Nature's Orders and the Holy Remix make the stretch goal list, but we still have time :-)
If they don't make in the book having them edited and added as a bonus pdf would be the bees knees.

That's right, this is it! The FINAL FEW DAYS!
We're only a couple hundred bucks from the next stretch goal (the White Necromancer Archetype) and there just might even be (OK, there definitely is) an unannounced stretch goal or two if we can get to them in this final week
Oh, and for those of you looking for something EXTRA SPECIAL, you can bump up your pledge and snag one of the VERY LIMITED EDITION, foil-stamped, leatherette hardcover editions of the book!

So once more unto the breach for the Savant, huh? Any hints on how you are approaching making it easier to play?
Loved the concept, but mechanically it was the most complicated class I have ever encountered.

Also, I remember being disappointed that a white necromancer archetype revolving around death was not in the original write up, leaving it the only aspect of the "necromantic triad" without a WN specialization. Will this gap be addressed in the new compilation?

Agreed, it was a heck of a complex class! That's one of the reasons we ultimately (and reluctantly) opted to drop it.
However, we still knew folks wanted the Savant in the book if at all possible. So, after plenty of top-secret, ultra-encrypted raven communications back and forth, Ryan Costello, Jr. (author of the original class) has agreed to revise and simplify the Savant and we could not be happier!
Learn a little more , as well as check out the awesome iconic art for the Savant, below!

Any information on what the Priest archetype will be like?
Might we finally have a servant of cloth, a divine spellcaster who wears not armour nor are they practiced in combat or war but one more embraced with their spirituality without notable physical training?
Hey there! No need for an archetype! That's exactly what the actual Priest class is!!

Understood - that was one of the things we intend to remedy. Ryan is hard at work on the new version of the class as we speak - I'll see if he might be willing to pop in and give a quick bit of insight into the new version at some point ....

Interesting ...
Having an archetype for each of the three aspects of the White Necromancer's necromantic triad was never a design goal of mine, either expressed or implied BUT I can absolutely see where you're coming from.
This book is going to be pretty packed with awesomness already, and fitting additional stuff into an established page count is always the tricky part, so I don't know if there's room for a third White Necromancer archetype.
BUT ... having said all that ... what did you have in mind for such a hypothetical Death focused White Necromancer archetype?

Thanks for the reply. With an archetype tied to undeath (Grave-bound) and one to life (Necrotic Healer), it seemed like a natural progression to me.
The concept I came up with was a necromancer that uses necromantic magic to slay the living and undead who do harm and need to die—sort of a magical assassin of those who defy the natural order or commit truly evil acts. They could also be mercy killers—peacefully ending the lives of beings suffering from curses that could only be removed with a miracle or a wish and thus beyond the necromancer's abilities to heal.
Feros |
Well outside the edit window here, but a clarification: the peaceful ending wouldn't involve necessarily killing the dying; I was thinking more they have the ability to eliminate pain and calm emotions. They want those who pass on to be at rest.
So a merciful killer with necromantic energy that puts beings in a tranquil, peaceful state as they die.

Interesting ideas! I can't promise anything but let me see what we can do about getting an archetype in the book that at least fills a similar niche.
Your job? Go out and get more folks to jump in and back the Kickstarter!
Deal? :)
In other news, we're less than $10 away from adding the new Priest archetype to the book! And, we're rapidly closing in on 700 backers! That's fantastic!!!

Next Goal Achieved! The Savant Class is in the Book!
That makes an even dozen new Pathfinder classes!!!
For those following the Kobold Press Twitter account ...
I wonder what New Path class the brand-new Shadow Stalker archetype is for???
Next up, with just over 24 hours to go, is a brand-new Warlock archetype, and then ... HEY, a NEW STRETCH GOAL just announced! :)

No worries! Heck, we still might do them at some point.
The important thing is, thanks to the 840 awesome Pathfinder backers, the New Paths Compendium TRIPLED its initial funding goal, unlocked 16 stretch goals, funded a big overhaul of the Hero Lab files, and brought in new art and new archetypes, and contains a DOZEN classes, including 3 brand new classes and a revised Savant!
On behaf of all the kobolds ... THANKS!!!

Marc,
When do you expect the book to available through normal channels?
I'll jump in on that. Because the book is already designed, edited, proofed, and laid out (except stretch goals and the new Savant), we are moving to press and a release date very quickly.
Should be in game stores by November.

Printer says we'll have books in November. I'm a bit concerned that they might arrive right around Thanksgiving, which would make doing shipping a little tricky. But they might arrive a little sooner.
Overall, YES, we are on track for books arriving from the printer in November. With packaging and shipment, they'll arrive to backers in November and December, depending on where you live.
