Hey, Kileanna. Out of curiosity, what cut of pork did you use for your Gyros?

I used loin. It worked. I had a doubt about doing it on the oven or on grilled but in the end I didn't have a lot of time so I had to grill it.

It's weird, you are on a new page but you don't seem more naked. I guess it only happens at FaWtL.

I'll try that. What sauce did you use?

I should have done tzatziki but I didn't have most ingredients and I didn't have money for them so I used just a fresh cheese that melted and added some cremosity. I had to improvise.

Sorry about the cookies.

*late super comforting "screw you cookies" hug*

There will be more cookies. I'm already feeling better after metaphorically punching a grindylow called Cookie that is just one of my aliases xD

I'm about to do a bit of solo GMing to Dal at WotW. That will be good for forgetting about that rebellious butter cookies.

That's right. What happens on FaWtL, happens only on FaWtL. :)

I'm sorry, but no thanks. With all the food around here, that would be a health code violation.

About to head out to go shopping. Ran out of allergy pills, and picking up more groceries. Be back in a few hours.

Have fun and stuff!

After having a nice talk today at FB messenger with another forum user I was thinking and I realized I don't have many friends from here on my FB.
Most of the people I most enjoy talking to are in this thread so I post it here.
Feel free to add Leila Ascariz Novo to your FB friends if you want ;-D

Just sent a friend invite to ya! My name is Calvin Roach, by the way.

If there's a Captain Yesterday on there, it isn't me. I think Gorbacz set up a Facebook page for me to annoy me once (or was it someone else..).

But but but...sigh...

Everyone is just committed to dragging me into the present.

(no I don't have a FB page, because I'm a angry old fart, who doesn't want another "lawn" to keep you youngsters off...^^)

I stopped using it a lot because it annoyed me. But I still use it from time to time. I think I haven't updated mine for serious since... a lot of time ago.

And, I'm back. Not bad for 4 hours. And, I got everything done that I needed to do. Yay, me. :)

That wasn't me, I don't do things I don't get paid for.

Shopping for 4 hours? I'd be an emotional wreck. I just got back from Taco Bell (a 15 minute drive for me there and back) and I nearly had a panic attack!

To be fair, most of that four hours were spent on buses.

While at Wal-mart, I saw a child wearing a t-shirt that made me laugh. It read; "Will be quiet for $100.00, can be noisy for free."

Going to play Skyrim for a bit while the Chicken breasts that I just bought thaw.

Had a busy day. Feeling tired now. Good night, everyone.

Good morning/evening, everyone!

Good Whatever Kileanna.

Normally I'd be asleep at this hour (6 am US Central time) but I didn't fall asleep until after 1:30 and was up by 3:45 with intense pain in my right knee (I had surgery on it last year and it's back to hurting like mad after a period of no pain). I was going to go to a family cookout today for Memorial Day but I doubt I go now. I doubt I'll be able to go back to sleep so I don't want to risk driving while drowsy.

I'm sorry for your pain and lack of sleep, Cal. I hope you feel better soon.

I'm about to have lunch in a few minutes. I just picked every veggie I had on the fridge plus some wheat seeds.

I used peppers, carrots, pumpkin, peas, tomato, cured ham, cheese, basil, black pepper and wheat seeds. Now the fridge is almost empty. So good I am getting paid today. It has been my hardest month ever but it's already ending.

I feel for you Cal, and do hope you get better, both with your knee and your sleeping.

I pulled/overstretched a muscle in my lower back today at work, so I'm incredibly sore and having trouble finding a position, to sit, and lie down comfortably.

*Great big manly hug to Cal*

Its also empty the fridge day today for me, so I'll be having potato, bell pepper, tomato, garlic, cheese, basil and parsley. Mixing in some diced chicken and some bacon, I'll probably cook it as a sort of make-shift gratin.

I love gratins! I'm sure it will be delicious.

I hope to make slow cooker ranch dressing chicken today. It's so simple even I can do it. Just take 3 to 6 skinless, boneless chicken breasts and put them in the slow cooker, sprinkle the ranch dressing powder over them, and then empty the contents of a can of cream of chicken soup on them. Let them cook for about 4 hours. Mmm mmm good. And the gravy it makes is terrific on mashed potatoes.

It also works well with boneless pork chops. It's so simple even I can't mess it up and I'm a terrible cook.

Don't have a slow-cooker, but I make stuff like that just with the oven instead (or a slightly-quicker-cooker as I will call it from now on ^^), on a bit faster timeframe.

I don't have a slow cooker either, but everything can be adapted ;-D

Finally I can take a break! It's been a day with a lot of work! (What I'd rather have than a day with almost nothing to do)

I'm a bit sick of petri dishes though.

Well, you need to stop eating them.

That's my reason of being!

This evening I had a song stuck into my head and I started singing it aloud.

Sometimes I thank Spanish educational system for sucking at teaching languages and having workmates who don't understand a word of English.

Because the title of the song was "F*cked with an anchor".

Damned Alestorm and their sticky new songs.

LOL!!!!

Heard it. Sounds like Irish Drinking / Fighting songs. Not that there's a difference between the two.

was about to say.

They are Scottish and they do pirate metal. I discovered them looking for theme songs for Skull and Shackles.

We even had a filler crossover crazy session inspired by one of their musical videos (link to the video is in the title of the chapter). It was madness! XD

Ale storm is great. I discovered them shortly after I discovered Korpikalanni. Two of my current favorite bands.

Some of their lyrics make me laugh my ass off.

"They put their faith in Odin and Thor we put our faith in cannons and whores!" am I allowed to say that last part?

That's one of the best!
And the whole song is about traveling to the past to kick some viking asses xD

Back through time is probably my favorite Although I really like their cover of "you are a pirate".
