Howdy everyone! I have a potentially stupid question, so be kind.
So, I'm a book nut and I've been reading my way through pathfinder tales. Imagine I how excited I was to find out about the chronicle sheets for the books! So, for fun, I'm basically creating one character who's going to be my "Book character" who i'm gonna attach all my prolific reader boons to. However, while looking over the boons, I'm confused by one of them, specifically the one for "Liar's Island" found on Pathfinder Tales, Volume VII.
It says Specifically:
Okay, cool effect! Except for one minor problem... I've never seen a intelligent magic item, as as far as I can tell from checking the rules forum their banned from being bought in PFS and there are only MAYBE 2 in the the game found on chonical sheets. Total bummer! So... what exactly is the point of this boon if it can't be used? Am I just being slow or is this boon actually completely useless? Cause I gotta admit, having an intelligent magic item for my character sounds like a cool concept to attach to my book boon guy.

Can you spoiler your post? There are multiple intelligent items in PFS chronicles. I've come across two and know there are more.
Hmm
It's the boon for a Pathfinder Tales book. As long as he doesn't tell anything about the story itself, I don't know what he should put under a spoilertag. ;-)

You're right, currently there are three.
Most people know about the shield and the sword, the ring is often forgotten/missed.

you might want to reread how the book boons are handled. I seem to remember that you can get it signed once and then photocopy it and use it for every one of your characters. So even if you make this book character, you can still apply them to other characters.... that might have changed when it went from oNe chronicle per book to one chronicle per 4 books

It did. On those, you keep the sheet around and can activate each boon once on any character; once you have activated all of them, you can permanently assign one of them to a single character, at which point the chronicle is attached to that character.

Totally true, I forgot as it's in a newer scenario.

Not spoiler tagging because it isn't scenario based, but...
There are two Intelligent Item Ioun stones floating around (see what I did there?) that were unique chronicles auctioned off during the 2012 Grand Convocation for PaizoCon & PaizoCon UK. While it is pretty unlikely you'd come into permanent possession of one (they were auctioned for in-game currency, and thus were immediately assigned to a PC), you might "borrow" it if at the same table as someone with it.
