So in ASOIAF several characters are Wargs, which at its most basic is a character that has a psychic link with an animal companion. Seems pretty straight forward, and something we have in PF already. I'm wondering if there is a class or archetype for a martial warg character. Full BAB, Full animal companion, no spellcasting.
Secondly, if no such class/archetype exists would it be terribly unbalanced to homebrew a ranger that gets there Animal Companion at level 1, and losses all casting ability?

At least some wargs have more powerful abilities (eg "warging" into their companion's mind). Greenseer is basically a "warg" prestige class.
I don't think your proposed archetype is overpowered. I'm just not sure it matches the warg closely enough. (You're basically depicting Robb Stark, who had a pet but nothing mystical about him; Jon Snow had more warging ability and Bran Stark had even more, to the point of taking a prestige class at age 10 or so).
Might this be better represented as a feat or chain of feats? (Wild Companion or some similar name, a feat from 3e?) I'm not sure martial prowess has anything to do with being a warg. Jon Snow had some martial prowess to him, yes, but if he had the talent but no fighting ability I think he could still do it.
